  1. As you may have noticed' date=' my legs aren't really in the pics too much. I have problem loose skin on my belly, especially below the bikini line and my inner thighs. They sag pretty bad. I didn't allow them to be in the pictures. I figured it wouldn't make a difference if I wore a one piece or two because my legs are my issue for the most part and no bathing suit covers them so what the hell. I am looking into a belt lipectomy (lower body lift) this fall. It will cure a lot of my problem areas. I think I am a little flabby in the tummy but not as bad as it could have been. I walk three days a week and sometimes jog a little. I did a lot of zumba for a few months too. I really need to get back to doing more exercise to get these last few pounds off. Walking was my main exercise though. I have not worked out with weights, although I should. I do have a lot of flab on my arms but you can only tell it when they are parallel to the ground. Teehee. I am embarrassed to admit my lack of gym activity or working out. I just did the best I could and I enjoyed walking in the spring here in south Texas. Now, not so much. I will pick up the pace this week though because I am determined to be in the 130's![/quote']

I THINK YOU LOOK GREAT!!!!! Our weight is similiar m I hope I can get to 147 . I'm waiting on insurance approval with BCBS. I have given my surgeon's nurse everything. They denied me initially due to needed more med history of weights. So, we resubmitted and are waiting . But, congrats n don't be ashamed, u look great.

Yesterday made a week since surgery and I have my follow up visit with my surgeon tomorrow, don't have a clue when I'll be cleared for exercise but I'm surprised I'm looking 4ward to it. Started converting the garage into a mini gym :).....[/quote']

    Hi prissy mz,

I have not been sleeved yet but our starting weights are identical. I want to get down to 140 to be honest. I have appt to see surgeon on June 4 so they can submit my info for approval. Where ate you from? What size are you now and what size were you preop( if you don't mind me asking )?

  3. Whoo hoo!!! I got my approval today. I'm in the office right now so' date=' hopefully, I will be able to schedule my appointment. Yay!!!

    Little Bits[/quote']

Congratulations little bits. I go see my surgeon on June 4 and hopefully they will submit after that due to my sleep study shows I have sleep apnea and I'm now on a freakin CPAP.

  4. How about transcription? I know a lot of RNs who wanted to be at home and did that. You already know all the medical terminology' date=' and if you can type, you can do it. There are many hospitals and transcription services all over the States that allow you to work from home. Hospitals will pay more than services. I make 20/hr doing it. If interested, you can go to the website of Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) and find out more. Good luck![/quote']

I went on the website and it had a lot of info. How do I get a hospital to hire me and do I need to take. Course or just certification exam?

  6. I had my sleep study last night. It was ok I was just nervous not being at home and in my routine environment. I have to go back for a second night on Thursday and she said they are gonna put the CPAP on me to sleep this time. Does that mean I have sleep apnea? She said the doctor will do his report after second visit and call me back in for an appointment. I am gonna ask Thursday does it look like I have sleep apne.

  7. Thank you' date=' ladies! It feels better to know I'm not the only one to question myself, but yes, I am confident that it will be all good! just waiting for Dr.Garcia's driver now.... I'll post updates!! : )[/quote']

  10. Dorrie' date=' I wish. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> I don't meet their bmi requirement for the 2 step or stand alone procedure. The nurse @ my nutritionist's office said that she was told that BCBS of DE is in the process of changing their requirements, but we don't know that for certain. <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':(' /> I'm just going to trust my pcp & keep moving forward. Happy thoughts!!! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Littlebits,

Is it the surgeon's office that submits the paperwork or is it the primary care physician ? In my case it is the surgeons office and when they submit they send the primary care physicians progress notes and in those notes the primary should have documented reasons y u need the surgery. I may be wrong though.
