I bought a scale today at kohls and weighed. It shows only a 2 pound loss since my surgery 2 weeks and 2 days ago. Im sittong in tje doctors offoce now, waiting fot my 2 wk check up. Can't hold back the tears. I've hardly eaten anything - mashed potatoes, Soup, Jello, etc. I feel like i am totally failing.

Congratulations on your surgery decision! However ypu explain this tonyoir children, make sure it is nothing but the truth. I have daughters 10 and 18 and a son 19. Open discussion with the older 2, but my discussion with the tounger one was just that "the doctor is going to do a special surgery to help me get healthier." as for the liquid diet before surgery, she undwrstood that that was just necessary before surgery, and the way i eat now is to help me get healthy.

Mine is April 2 also! Im so excited and anxious to get this behind me and let the changes begin!

My insurance requirements took 3 months. They wanted 3 consecutive visits with the surgeon before submitting. My insurance approved within TWO DAYS!! I was then scheduled 3 weeks out.
