Can I See Meals/portion Sizes Please?

I am 9mos post op. I eat when I am hungry, which isn't a good thing, considering, I am never hungry. Over the last month, I have become lactose intolerant. I can eat 1 scrambled egg with american cheese and a couple slices of bacon. That takes me a good 45 mins to eat. For lunch, I usually have a half of a turkey sandwich, snack a yogurt or granola bar, and dinner is just whatever I have fixed that night, and only a couple bites of it. At this point, I should be able to eat 8oz at a time according to my NUT, but I'm not even close to that.
  2. GREAT ADVICE!!! Although I weigh in each day, On the first of every month since my surgery, I have kept a spreadsheet log of my loss in weight and inches of my neck, calves, biceps, waist, bust, thighs and hips. That is also a good motivator at the beginning of each month, because I can see the areas that need more work at the gym, and set new goals for myself.
  3. I am 9months out, and I still weigh in daily. The only break I allow myself is during my PMS phase, because of bloating, etc. But, weighing in daily helps me stay on track! I look forward to getting on the scale each morning. And weigh in naked, its your true honest weight. I am 9 months out and down from 325-171! Weighing in has helped me keep my eye on the prize! And its okay to hit stand stills every now and then! Just keep your head up, and go for the gold!

    Dizzy Spells

I'd say it has a lot to do with your body changes. Call your dr, just to make sure. But check all of your vitals too, just to stay safe!

    Dizzy Spells

Check your BP...I do this sometimes. The other day I started feeling really bad, and was very dizzy. My BP was 98/60. My issue when I work out is I get a killer migraine and get dizzy.
  6. As of today, I have lost a total of 102 lbs!!!!! I am down from 325 to 223. I still have a ways to go, but my next goal is to get under 200lbs. It is falling off much quicker than I expected. I was just sleeved 4.5 months ago. Since the surgery, I have lost 87lbs. I have gone from a size 30 in jeans to a size 16/18 and a 4x in tops to a XL. I feel so much better, but can't wait to lose the next 50-65 lbs. I hope to be at goal by Christmas. Just wanted to share my excitement with you all.

    Best Deal For Unjury Mix.

I order it from the site as well....I love the Unjury because it is smooth, and delicious, and it WORKS!!! I can tell a difference in my weight loss when I use other Protein powders. Unjury gives me the best results. It is pricy, but I am saving well over $100 a month myself just from not eating out, so I can justify spending $100 a month on my protein.
  8. I think that depends on your will to keep quiet...with me, I didn't want to tell anyone either, or so I thought...but then I felt excited and confident about it...I wanted everyone to know that I wasn't being lazy about my weight, that I was making the hardest decision there was in regards to my weight! So, I told people, and didnt care who was supportive, and who wasn't...it was my body, my health and my life! The only person that mattered in this situation was ME! So, if you are more comfortable staying quiet, then do so, but please realize the only person who matters in this issue is YOU!!!!

    Foods You Eat

I was sleeved on 2/13/12 (nearly 4 months out) and I can eat anything I want...I even eat bread, in moderation, and very tiny, slow bites...but that is rare. I tend to pick what I know will go down the easiest, because my sleeve doesn't tolerate pasta. Eggs are my fav, always have been, applesauce, pudding, soft meats and cheeses...NOTHING greasy. But you will learn soon enough what works best for your sleeve. I will tell you, this journey is a very exciting, and blessed one to be on!!

    Omg.....what A Difference!

Love your heart....I guarantee the source of pain is the JP drain site....I felt horrible the entire week I had mine in....once the dr. took it out, I was sore, but managable....my dr. explained to me that they suture the tube to your muscles, so when you move, it pulls....how miserable!!! But believe me...its worth it!!!! Hope you feel better!!!!!
  11. Melted cheese doesn't go over too well on me....So, I usually stick to low fat sharp cheddar, or low fat colby...I just eat it as a snack....the sargento cheese sticks are my fav!

Whats Your Diet 4 Months Out?

I will be 4mos out on the 13th, and I can eat anything, just not very much of it....I don't have any appetite, and have to force myself to eat. I always do Unjury Chocolate Splendor for breakfast, then a sharp cheddar cheese stick for a mid day snack, yogurt, or a fruit, then on to dinner, which is whatever I fix...always includes a high protein. Then I finish up my day with another Unjury Shake....I am down 80lbs post op. The only issue I find, I am not getting enough calories (per my nut). I tend to only eat about 2oz of regular food, but liquids don't bother me at all...I get restricted, a lot! Its rather annoying. Trying new foods always scares me, because I never know the effect it will have on me.

    Liking The Gym?!?!?!

I really wish my gym had a kid room....the local YMCA has one, but its just too far of a drive. I go when I can...my husband is a railroad engineer, and is always gone, so for the remainder of the summer, I will only get to go when he is home. Other than that, I try to work out at home, which isn't always real easy with 3 wild boys! I do love it though...I put my ear buds in my ignore everything else going on around me...its such a serene feeling! I am hoping to start with a trainer once school starts back, 3 days a week. My younger 2 boys eat really healthy, all fruits, veggies, and yogurt...my oldest (10) doesn't eat a lot, he just doesn't get any veggies! He is very husky, and worries me!

    Liking The Gym?!?!?!

I LOVE going to the gym! Unfortunately, I have only got to go twice!!!! Breaks my heart, because I really enjoy it, and it releases so much stress. The gym I attend only allows kids for the special kid class they have on Wednesday nights, but I have got to start taking my oldest son...he is gaining so much weight, because he doesn't eat well...it breaks my heart. I just want him to be happy, and healthy!

    16 Mos Out...disappointed

I am sorry you have had such an unhappy experience with your sleeve. I was sleeved on 2/13/12, and I have lost 80 lbs since my surgery, 95 overall. I am 4 months out, and still have another 65-85 lbs to loose before I will be where I want to be. My suggestion is to cut back on the calories, back down to 1200, drink as much Water as possible, and always remember Protein first. You can do this....we all faith in you!!!! Good luck!

    I Hate Water!

I make a 2 gallon jug of Crystal Light Decaf Tea mixed with the CL Lemonade. I drink 2 glasses of that a day, then I still get in 2-3 bottles of ice water. I don't get my daily calories in, is my big issue. I am 3.5 months out, and I only get about 500 calories a day, because I simply am never hungry, and I can't force myself to eat. So, I basically live off water, CL, and Unjury.

    Clothing After Surgery

I went down in jeans within a week....I waited 2 weeks to buy any, and just sported sweats until then. When I did finally buy jeans, I was down 2 jean sizes...Now, I am down 3, possibly 4, because they are getting baggy on me. I am also down 3 top sizes, and 1 bra size. I did lose a lot in my face and shoulders first though.
  18. I had both gall stones and pancreatitis, but the Pancreatits was due to the overflow of bile from my gall bladder, it infected my pancreas. They removed my gall bladder, and then put a jp drain into my pancreas to drain all of the infection, plus a heavy iv and oral round of antibiotics. I hope your dr. can find the root cause of your problems, and fix ya right up! Sending prayers hun! Feel better soon!
  19. I had Gallstones and Pancreatits 10 years ago...I was pregnant with my son, and had all of the classic symptoms of gallstones, but my OB insisted that I was fine, despite several U/S, performed by several different techs, who all said it was stones. 3 weeks after my son was born, I vomited green bile 37 times in 1 evening. I went to the ER, and was taken in to surgery the next morning...recovery wasn't bad at all, despite the JP drain. Still, 10 years later, I have phantom pains, but I just rest, and hydrate. Take it serious...pancreatits is nothing to play around with! I hope you get some relief soon! Hugs and Prayers!!!

    Last Meal If The Day

It depends on my mood....usually, I don't eat after my bedtime protein shake, but tonight, I was snacky, so I had 5 Low Fat Ritz crackers with tuna...I am 2.5 months out, and that fills me up! Tuna is a great source of protein, and a yummy snack. You could also try, clementines, sugar free pudding/jello, ff cottage cheese, string cheese,or yogurt.

    How Much Can You Eat?

it gets easier ladies, I promise you! I never really was bothered by my family eating in front of me...yes the food always looked yummy, but I think its mind over matter! You have to remember, we all did this for good reason, to be healthy again. And I can promise you, IT WORKS! You will feel better, and be happier.
  22. I was sleeved on 2/13/12. Since surgery, I have lost 60 lbs, and 75 lbs overall since I decided to get sleeved. I still have about 75-100 lbs to go, but I will get there eventually. I can eat whatever I want, BUT, I have no appetite, and chicken is no longer my favorite food. I could eat chicken several times a week, pre op, but now, it makes me feel terrible. I don't eat more than 2-3 ozs at a time, and usually never more that 500 a day. I am exercising, got my gym membership, just need to go more often, but due to real life, and illnesses within the family, I havent made it out as much as I'd like. My favorite thing to eat is Mini Quakes Cheddar flavored, cereal, frozen yogurt, eggs and applesauce. Its odd how thick or heavy foods don't agree with me! I do treat myself occasionally to chips and queso, and I've even had a couple bites of pizza....mainly I try to stick with protein shakes and crystal light though. I have had a hard time finding protein that I really enjoy other than Unjury Chocolate Splendor. I bought some of the Syntrax Nectar sample packs and I am trying those now. I look forward to becoming the happier healthier me!

    How Much Can You Eat?

I was sleeved on 2/13/12, so I am 2.5 months out. I can drink all day long, usually a Protein shake, and crystal light, and thats all I need. I don't eat much of anything at all...when I do eat food, I can eat 4oz of Cereal, or half a cup of yogurt, or if its meat, I can only eat a couple bites. It is so odd your eating habits change after surgery. Before, when we would eat out, usually I would pick a place for the family...now, I leave it up to my husband, and will share a plate with my youngest son. I graze. A few bites here and there. BUT, I still make sure I get my protein in each day. My highest weight was 325 I was sleeved on 2/13/2012, weighing in at 310. Today, at 2.5 months out, I weigh in at 250! I still have a goal weight of 150, realistically at 175.

    How Are You Working Out?

I am 1 month post op today, and have kicked up the exercising.....what are you doing to kick the fat? Today, I did 1 mile of walking, and 4 reps of leg lifts with 50 lbs weights...still have to do bench press, squats, and cardio. Any suggestions on what else I can do? For my cardio, I dance, and play Wii...
