  2. My sleeve is the same. Room temp or warm liquids. I'm one week post op. Are you having trouble getting your liquids in? And yes walk walk walk... Good luck on your new beginning!
  3. Ya I did here and there, but I felt good enough. I know I need to be cool about it, but I feel great. My fiancé was none too happy when she looked out the back door! hahaha
  4. All went great... Only pain I have is my drain. The entire experience thus far has been better than expected!
  5. Ok first full day and the worst of it has been my drain. Took some nausea and pain meds through the night. Other than that I've been walking like crazy and trying to take in my fluids as much as possible. Everyone is very nice and they know how to stick u! Hahaha

  7. Back in my room! Other than my legs taking their sweet time to wake up from the morphin shot, I feel pretty good. Feel like someone punched me in the sternum, but that was expected. Feeling fantastic!!!! No pain meds right now but may take them for bed time... Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes...
  8. At the Hotel in Mexicali. All my pre-op is done and everything went great. 2 hour ride from airport had some great scenery! Dr. Aceves and Dr. Campos are very cool. We've been taken care of very well and just had dinner at the hotel. Really good food... More updates in the morning.
  9. Congrats to you! Hope your recovery goes quickly and as painless as possible...
  10. I've had my food "funeral" and really went all out over the weekend. My one week out Atkins style diet starts in the morning. I've done Atkins in the past, so I'm ready for it. Will be in Mexicali with Dr. Aceves a week from Wednesday. Honestly I'm not near as nervous as my fiancé... I've actually had a few family members try to talk me outta of this (albeit all obese family members) so I was wondering... Those of you that decided to tell some people, how did that convo go? In my situation, the people that know me best knew that if I was at the point to tell them, the decision was made for good! Over the weekend I was at my grandparents house having lunch with my fiancé. We never really talked about the surgery but talked about the time frame. I got up to go to the bathroom and my grandma gets all in my fiancés ear about me backing out. She said you know him, it ain't happening! I Love her, she knows me so well... It was all quiet when I returned to the kitchen table!
  11. Helo... Glad u found the website! And congrats on your upcoming surgery... AND I totally agree with the Theme Park issue... It sucks big time!
