How long after your surgery did you start working out
I started at week 5.
-
I go to the gym at least 3-4 times a week to workout on cardio and strength. What I've noticed is it's difficult for me to drink Water while I'm working out. Is this normal? And if so, when should I be able to get fuilds back in me?

Wow. Congrats on your hard work. You look amazing!
-
Hardest thing so far is that I actually gained a pound this week, but that was my own doing. Best thing, hearing everyone say how great I look, or that they didn't recognize me.

My understanding is it's just like a normal credit care. You can pay it off early without any penalty.

WOW! What an amazing job you have done rockin' your sleeve. I only hope I am as focused as you have been. Congrats!

Welcome to the losers bench!

Great Job! Keep up the great work rockin' that sleeve.

Agreed...exercise. I try to go daily. But it's the only thing to keep my head and heart in place.

Good for you - five hours on one sandwich? Remember the old days? I might have eaten two sandwiches, fries and a jamocha shake back before surgery.
~Cheri
So true, except for the fries...I would have had 2-potato cakes! This sandwich lasted two meal, and I didn't go over my daily limts on carbs. In fact, it was the 1st time in months I actually exceeded 30-carbs. I generally stay around 30. My limits are 30-60. Carbs were my large part of my life. I've not really missed them or candy or sweets. If I am really wanting something I do have a piece (fun size) of candy or a bite or two of bread. That's all I need.
The odd part about all this sandwich was it was the 1st time in 2-months my sleeve quit making bubbling noises. That's not to say I'm going to have a sandwich daily, but it was nice not listening to it bubble for hours.

Oh l logged every bit of it! :-)

Today was a first. Today we went to Arby's for lunch. I ordered a Beef and Cheddar and actually ate 1/2 of it. Then, over the next 5-hours; I ate the other half.
Yay, I actually ate a 1 sandwich in a 5-hour period. Booo...it really wasn't a good choice.

Good to know. I too cannot handle the cold stuff, but the warm or room temp is fine.

I do not brag, I feel wonderful, and I guess it shows to everyone in my office..... ( sad part is the only ones that DO NOT compliment me are the "WOMEN" that KNEW what I did and how I am losing my weight).......and I say )$ them..... they are the ones that have treated me the worst!!!! I can tell they are actually jealous... as they have NO comments for me they just look and STARE........and to them I say ____ __OU!!! I know you are and have NEVER been my FRIEND!!!
Good for you! You should be proud of how you've taken control over your life. And as for the above statement...I know just how you feel. I get the same reaction from the clique where I work. I abore these women too and will never be there friend.

I stocked up on homemade stock both beef and chicken and Premier Protien from Sam's/Costco. My suggestion is to try the Protein supplements to find which one you like.

Thanks!
I started at a 24 back in Dec.

First, I am in a size 16 pant...woo hoo!
I was at a co-workers desk the other morning. He was there along with someone from the operations team. She looked at me and then dropped her jaw. I walked away because they were busy.
The next day the ops person saw me walking in the hall and stopped me to say, "I didn't recognize you. I looked and had had no idea who you were. You look great!" I thanked her many times before we parted ways.
That was the kindest thing anyone has said about me at work. :-)

I don't have a trainer, yet. But I started by going to a toning class twice a week and then doing cardio 2-times a week. Now I focus on curcit and cardio 3-4 times a week. As for motivation...it's more willpower then anything. Don't get me wrong. There are a few times that I only made it twice a week like this week, but I am determined to continue on the path to good health.
