  1. They are making sure you don't have an underlying psych diagnosis that is not treated/ stabilized.
  2. Egd I am assuming is the endoscopy? No prob at all. Groggy for about an hour after. Biggest complaint was how dry your throught is. But you can eat and drink right after. No pain.
  3. Maybe it is in the name.... I am also a Kimberly!
  4. The reason for my surgery Is the love for my girls. Luv rayna, Kendall, bailey
  5. Am 2 days out. Much better today. Lost 11 pounds in 9 days since starting the protein shakes. Very sore abdomen, but sipping away. Got 3/4 of my protein in and working on the water intake. I am so head hungry tho. Everything smells so delish! Scared I will be able to do this once u can eat more.
  6. Thanks guys.
  7. Are these ok for your preop clear liquids?
  8. I got a call that my surgery was pushed up 3 days. How long before surgery did you stop taking ibuprofen? I took ibuprofen last 2 days ago and my surgery is on Monday. So it will be 4 days prior.Nervous they won't let me have it done!!!! What are the risks?
  9. Is there any protein that is considered ok during the clear liquids? If so, where do you get it?
  10. Eleviates...auto correct!
  11. It takes 2 weeks for the skin to heal. It is the scar tissue building up. It can pull on ur pain receptors. As long as it isn't a constant pain and just zingers, it is normal part of any skin healing. Def check with the surgeon, but I hope this Leicester some nerves.
  12. Mine waited 2 weeks to submit!
  13. I put 1/3 of a bananna in. I know I'm not sposto have anything but the drinks, but the plain drinks were unpalatable.
  14. 6 days.... Wow. I am most nervous about not drinking water for so long. After the anesthesia, that is going to be torture. The hospital I am going to makes you get up and walk for 10 min every 2 hours even through the night!
  15. I posted a thread like this about a week ago. I am in ny as well and am on the 15th.
  16. Committed...is Washington your surgeon? My father in law had his in ridge wood 5 years ago by him.
  17. My surgeon also requires 30 days and will prescribe meds to do so if needed. I know it must be so daunting to give up 2 addictions at once. But, I work in wound care and I can tell immediately if a patient is a smoker. The healing is much slower, infection rate higher, more scaring, the tissue around the wounds are not as healthy.... So I understand why it is imperative to stop smoking. With the amount your body needs to heal the stomach, it is necessary. Plus, you don't want to have to withdraw while healing. Do it now and be done with it bf you have to withdraw from food.
  18. At least you get some other tastes besides chocolate protein! Today is better tho.
  19. I am all liquid too
  20. Lol!!!! Ugh this sucks!
  21. Feel horrible! Just started drinks today. They make me feel like I have a lump in my stomach. withdrawing from sugar sucks! Headache, dizziness, shakiness and cranky pants!
  22. Started the dreadful protein drinks today... Surgery next Tuesday. I know the first 3 months is the most weight loss, I am bmi 37. What is adverage...1#/day?
