  1. Me too! I'm so worried about something happening to me due to dehydration. I think I'm getting around half of them in. I actually tried to drink and not sip and it came right back up. :/ I started to drink 10 oz of Gatorade a day. But I'm hoping to build up to the required daily amount. And don't get me started on protein.
  2. I was naseau the day of surgery and through the night. I'm 4 days post op and I actually went back to work today. I'm a teacher in an after school program so I'm only at work 3-4 hours a day and I was fine. And I have yet to poop! I don't feel sick or anything, but I miss my routine. I always get excited when I feel pressure but it's only gas... :/
  3. Knee high boots that go over my calfs, skinny jeans, and cute summer dresses.
  4. Hi! I was also sleeved on the 15th. I didn't have an alergic reaction like you did. But I did get a reaction from some of the surgical tape. I'm just focusing on fluids now. I take my temperature daily to make sure Im ok. I'm not in pain but my stomach does these spasms and I feel pretty weak. But each day does get better. We will get through this.
  5. My doctor didn't require me to have a pre-op diet. I fasted last night for an endoscopy and Im having surgery in less than 24 hours. And the nurses gave me a menu. That means I get two more meals...lol
  6. It's 8pm on the 13th here in Korea and I go in to the hospital for more pre op testing and a overnight stay tomorrow morning. Sooo exciting and nerve wracking. The 15th is my big day .
  7. I thought the gas only last a few days. I haven't been sleeved yet but that's what I've been coming across. Any idea how long the gas pain lasts?
  8. I'm having surgery on the 15th and I'm going back to work on the 19th. I'm a after school program teacher so I only work about 2:30-3 hours a day. But my surgeon insisted I would be ok. We shall see~
  9. My surgeon didn't give me a pre-op diet. Maybe I should start my own.......But my hubby is like "Let's eat this! It will be your last time in a while." And I'm like yeah your right....lol Are you just drinking Protein shakes?
  10. My mother, husband, and 2 friends. I was diagnosed with GERD so everyone knows I'm going to surgery for that. I'm using sick leave for work. The funny thing is one friend confessed to me that she has the band for about two years...lol
  11. Is anyone taking the pill? I'm currently taking mercilon. My surgeon said it's ok, but I'm wonder if it has any connection with stalling weight loss.
  12. Hey, I'm new myself. I'm getting sleeved the same day as you. It's so exciting and scary at the same time right? But I'm just ready to get it over with and start losing. Are you on a pre-op diet?
  13. Congratulations on getting sleeved! I'm American getting sleeved next week in South Korea. I'm also not on a pre-op diet so I'm "living it up" for now. So is it pretty easy finding everything you need in Kuwait? I'm having quiet the challenge here, but it's doable.
  14. So exciting your posting here before your surgery. I'm probably going to a. Be dry heaving in a corner b. trying not to crap my pants c. Crying or d. All of the above.
  15. Thanks for your replies. I actually really enjoy living here. I'm so scared and excited at the same time. I'm not clear on the procedure either so I'm going to talk to him next week when I go in for more pre-op testing. I was seeing where some people said there doctors oversew the staples. My surgeon used the word plication so maybe that's what he meant. Possibly? Maybe it was just a misunderstanding on my part. But I remember he said he uses this technique because it makes it next to impossible to get a leak. I'll get clarification and report back.
  16. I'm getting sleeved March 15th!
  17. I am a 23, 5'3, and weigh 205lbs. I've tried diets from the age of 15 up until now. The healthy ones and the not so healthy ones, weight watchers, I was in the military for 4 years and the lowest I ever got was 180. This including a strict diet and working out twice a day. Obviously it's not working as I'm am scheduled for the surgery. On March 15th. On the 14th I will go to the hospital for some more pre-op test. So far I've done something like a ultrasound and I drank some horrible liquid and stood on a kind of rotating x-ray bed. Sorry for the vagueness as most things are happening in a different language. (Korean) Everything is looking so far so good. I'm not on any pre-op diet. I have no health issues so I will be self-paying. I've been lurking the forums and getting ideas. So far I've ordered a 6 pack of the Isopure grape frost, a 6 pack of alpine punch, a blender, Blender Bottle, and sample packets from powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury and nectar. I'm living in South Korea right now as a military wife so I have sort of limited options. So I do have a few questions. My surgeon does the gastric sleeve by cutting out some of the stomach and then he uses plication. Has anyone had this done before? Also I will stay in the hospitals for 2 nights and then I will go home. My doctor says I can go back to work on the 19th. Is this feasible? I'm a elementary school teacher. But I only work 4 hours a day. I feel very comfortable with my surgeon and I know he's one of the best in the country. I look forward to getting sleeved and sharing my journey with others.
