  1. TJMom - let us know how you do. You will be in my prayers. Hopefully will have my approval in a few weeks.
  2. Congrats on your date and Happy Birthday Sandy! Hopefully I will be right behind you. Hope to have a date within a month.
  3. Yes, I would consider it exercise. You burn 200-300 calories per hour
  4. New_Hope commented on 300PoundsDown's blog entry in 300 Pounds down
    thanks for sharing.
  5. I think everyone hits plateaus from what I have read, and I'm sure that is all that has happened. I bet you start losing again in no time. Just keep following your plan. You have already lost a lot!
  6. I think you are absolutely right. I have not had my sleeve yet. Probably about 1-2 months out. Finishing up my six months to request approval from insurance company. Right now wearing a size 24 I would be ecstatic to be in a 14. That being said, my dream weight would be about to get into my wedding dress, which is a size 9 from 30+ years ago, lol. I think you need to set several goals, and if you don't reach every one of them, you are still successful in reaching the ones you do reach, and still strive towards the other ones. Your happiness in life can not depend on one outcome. I am a pretty happy person most of the time now. Overall my life has lots of positives. I have a great loving husband, two wonderful kids, a good job and a Lord that loves me. I am not happy about my current weight, and the health issues that is causing me. Life is never perfect, but there are lots of things to be grateful for if we look around.
  7. thanks for the recipe to soft skin
  8. Yeah for you!! Keep it up.
  9. WTG MassIndex. Looks like you only have 1 lb to go now! I followed a little of what you were doing on the exercise thread. I will be traveling 170 miles each way to go to my Dr. Being from a small rural town in Texas, it comes with the territory that you will drive a long distance to go anywhere, lol. I look forward to some of the successes you are all reporting.
  10. In the DFW area here in Texas, the self pay price for the Dr that is going to do my surgery is $10950. I know several that use this DR and everyone seems to like him really well. I have to do the 6 month pre diet, so haven't had the surgery yet. However, I am about a 2.5 hr drive to the DR office, so everything has been over the phone and via internet so far. http://www.mybariatricsolutions.com/
  11. Kayte, I hope I join you on that nsv. I am also a chocoholic. I would love to not think of sweets.
  12. Great success story so far. You inspire me!
  13. Congratulations everyone on all those great NSV's so far! Very encouraging!
  14. How much have you lost all together? Your tracker shows you have lost about 70 lbs an that you are 21 lbs under target. Did you have the surgery with the plan of only losing 40 or 50 lbs?
  15. Why not just tell them you are having a surgical procedure, and you wish to keep your medical issues private as you have a right to do. They have to right to question what type of procedure you are having. It is up to you to share as much or as little as you want to.
  16. Great job. You will reach this goal in no time, and your next one soon after! Keep it up!
  17. I am using Dr. Scott Stowers in Decatur, TX. I have BCBS of Minn. and am having to complete the 6 month evaluation. They have been great about taking care of everything for me. A friend of mine used them and have had good success with their sleeve. I have not had mine yet, but hope to by the end of May.
  18. DH is sure hopping I get that boost, lol.
  19. I agree, you do not need to surround yourself with those that are not going to be supportive. You will find other supportive online friends on the site here. Congratulations on all your hard work, and for doing so well.
  20. That is over 100 lbs in 1 year, plus if you are working out hard, and building muscle, you will keep it off better. Plus losing it slowing is suppose to keep your skin from sagging as much. Keep up the good hard work.
  21. I'm just getting back on. I hope everything went great for you. Keep me up to date on how you are doing.
  22. Thanks for the advice
