I am only 10 days post op and I swollow mine whole, and have no problems. -

I did through my IV about a hour before surgery and every 8 hours after that during my stay in the hospital. Once I got home for the first 14 days I have to administer Lovenox injections 2 times a day. -

I had some of the same issues. When I first came home from the hospital, I think I barely drank anything for the first 3 days. I had no appetite and all the rumbling going on with my stomach after I did drink something made me not want anything. That 4th day I was scared I was going to become dehydrated so at that time i started to force myself to drink. I am also on medication and use to crush my blood pressure medicine up. That became so gross I couldn't do it anymore so I just break it in half now. I take one half in the morning and the other half in the evening. -
yayyyyyyy! 1 week and two days later I have finally found a way to get my protein in....Yay Me!

ok. Went to the Dr. today 1 week post-op overall I am doing well, however he was a little disappointed in the amount of my fluid intake. I will do my best to force more fluids....

I shoudn't have done it and I know it...... SMDH! This is real sad for this to be my first time to ever post anything, and to say this. I am 5days post op of the gastric sleeve and I tried to let my mind tell me it was ok to eat a deviled egg because it was soft. BIG MISTAKE... Hello!!! you are not at your soft food stage yet, you are still on liquids...SMH.. All of the rumbling and grumbling I thought I was finally getting rid of, it all came bacc. I had such an uncomfort...

I am so glad I got up this morning and startred searching for answers and ran across this web page. I was sleeved on 1-25-12 and was discharged to home on 1-27-12, I understand you completely. I don't have the nausea anymore I think it is because I have stopped using so much of the pain medications. Last night I said to my boyfriend I hope I don't end up regreting this. It has been very hard for me to get anything down, due to the fact that I can't stand the feeling my stomach makes everytime I try to drink something ( I call them stomach spasms). Now I am worried that I will become dehydrated. I have another issue I take high blood pressure medication that needs to be crushed up, is their anyone who has had problems taking there medications and if not what were your methods used. pls help me too.
