  1. Chitowngirl....i called the psych...he will call back... Great idea! thanks Randi ...thanks for the moral support....i will try to shake this off and start anew tomorrow...((love this area to live))...move back someday! ***update*** i went back to Sunday and added all eaten foods to MFP ... I feel better having it on the books!
  2. Here's the thing....i was doing great....then we decided to host a BBQ this Saturday.... I am disabled, so i am not around other people..unless i choose to .... i have hid behind my weight all my life...((my husband asked me once, "if you could be ANY action hero. Who would you want to be?"....my response, without hesitation "The invisible man".... In the past, when we have had a BBQ ... Due to my weight, i could pretty much be invisible...My husband is the social one.. ...but i am worried that my weight loss is going to be a topic of conversation...and people are going to be wanting to "talk" to me all afternoon... So....i have been eating foods and NOT putting them on MFP .... And/Or telling my husband what i ate during the day... It depresses me that i so easily returned to bad habits so quickly....my sleeve will be 8 weeks old on Wednesday...and i have gained 3 pounds.... i am hoping by posting this thread, i will shame myself into getting back on track... Thank you for letting me tell on myself...
  3. Wonderful....love the truth out innocence! Keep up the good work!

  5. I know, for me anyway....i drank fluids WITH all my meals before surgery...now because we are not suppose to drink while eating, my fluid intake is greatly reduced .... So having to sip liquids all day, has not come easy. (yet)

  9. Rootman .... I am so sorry you are going through this...i too am an animal lover and in my 59 years have had to put down many "family members".. that is what they become, kids...they have our entire heart and soul.... I feel your pain, frustration and confusion .... Sending hugs your way to you and your family...

  11. Oh ya.... my last A1C was 6.6!!!!! love it!
  12. Congratulations .. You won't regret it... I am 59 with grown kids and a very supportive husband.... I too was diabetic ... What type are you? I was type 2 with an A1C of 10 WITH taking metformin, gliberide (specific) and byetta shots twice a day.... I was going to have to start insulin, if i did not have the surgery....well, they had me stop all my diabetic medicine 3 days before surgery... I had surgery and they started monitoring my blood sugar... It rose as high as 300 (they gave me insulin shots) then started coming down... I spent 1 night in the hospital...by the time we drove home next morning (90 minute drive) my blood sugar was around 200.... stayed OFF diabetic meds and checked blood sugar 3 times a day...wrote them down to show doctor on follow up appointment at 10 days post-op....numbers were between 150 & 200... now at 7 weeks post-op, i check once every 3 days and they are 98 - 120..... my diabetes is GONE!!!!! besides losing weight ... I am no longer a diabetic! i feel amazing... Welcome to the group of sleevers and you will love this site.... Use the search button for anything and always know that there are many people (at all different stages of this process) that will support you with your decision... Sorry so long .... I am just so happy to have wonderful people helping/guiding me, that i wanted to make sure you knew we are here for you...
