  1. My surgeon wants 60 gr a day and my dietician helped with a plan the only time I don't get the 60 gr is after a fill when on liquids. Can you ask to see a dietician?
  2. Donna well done on the 50 pound and if you fancy a treat then go for it but nothing will remove the smile from your success x
  3. My doc did first full in exray wad not told how much until 6 weeks later and I felt satisfied after eating for about 8 weeks then 1.5 at next fill last fill 1cc my surgeon goes on feelings of satisfaction. Hope this helps x

    Here my journey. So far Wk35 weeks post ops Total 153 lost. 60 lb on pre op diet. Total loss so far. 10st 13 Onederland 9lb away Next bmi 29 target 13.3. 22lb to go Want to get to bmi of 27. 12st 6lb 34lb to go I have 7.5 cc in my band and took 3 fills
  6. My surgeon said the band is not all about the weight loss. It's about never putting the weight back so if you ready to make the changes for life then you should go ahead I wish I had had my surgery before I had to lose 200 pounds. Good luck with your journey

    How Fast Is The Weightloss?

    I have lost 82lb in 6 months averaging 3lbs a week I stay below 1200 cals and exercise 6 tines a week main excercise is waking aiming for 10,000 steps everyday.

    Keeping The Silence

    I like you planned to wait until after surgery but told close friends and family one week before surgery. Then I wanted to get my head round being banded before sharing. no one has asked me out right bur if they did I would tell them. But every one is different. Surgery not that common where I am and it's not discussed very often. I am just taking Care of me. I need to see the weight stay off as I have lost weight before but can't keep it off.

    Breakfast

    I have 2 bacon medallions 1 boiled egg and 1 slice brown bread x or porridge and apple or bannama or total Greek yogurt with 100 gram raspberries or 1 egg and 2 egg whit ommlette with 2 medallions bacon these give good protien meals
  10. You won't regret this I am 6 months post surgery and 82lb down feeling great. Good luck and follow the rules and you will see success.

    Keeping The Silence

    I have only told family and a few close friends, it's my business and I want to know this will work and that the weight will stay off, I work hard with my band to get my results but sometimes I feel embarrassed that I have lost 10 stone this past year 60 pre and 82 post. Don't get me wrong I feel amazing but when people ask how much I have lost Iam embarrassed that I got into this mess. People ask what's your secret and I say diet and excercise. And it's true they see me walking to work ect and saying no to treats and cakes but now that's peole notice I feel a little guilty not telling but i am not ready. I will be one day though Thanks for reading ps anyone else feel the same.
  12. I lost 60lb in the 6 montgs pre op and have lost 82lb since 14th march 6 months. I started at 361 and would still like to lose another 50 to 70. I have exercised by walking every day since surgery at least 30 min after 5 weeks I started back at aqua fitness twice a week and hope to add the gym in now 3 times for toning.     I am the same the only time I feel my band it when I eat too quickly now I have 5cc in a 14 cc band going to appointment monday going to see about second fill. Losing but it's will power. Right now not band.

    Well done onederland. I am just starting to think about being in the 100's started at 369 on pre op diet lost 60 before surgery banded 14th march 2012 and today lost 80lb in 6 months total of 10 stone feeling great x good luck on reaching your next goal x x

  18. Good luck London from Dundee Scotland been banded for 6 months lost 80lb since surgery and 60lb in the 6 month pre op diet feel great first 6 to 8 weeks worst when your hungry but the results are worth it.

    Pre-Surgery Eating Habits

    I agree starting to slow down before is a great idea and I always cut up my protien into small bits. If I am over hungry I tend up eat too fast and end up stuck x luckily as I chew well and the hits are small the uncomfortableness only lasts 10 mim only had 4 stuck episodes.

    Losing Weight To Quick?

    I too have lost 58lb post band in 14 weeks, I lost 60lb on pre op diet weight loss slowed down slightly in the last 3 weeks. Just follow your plan and exercise.
  21. Banded 14th march 2012 lost 51lb and 111lb in total with pre op diet
  22. I still take vitamins and my dietician asks me every visit. I don't plan to stop x

    I try to focus on real hunger not head hunger 60 plus protien but don't think am extra 100 Cals is ant thing to worry about and 20lb in a month is great x
