I would look for a Center of Excellence surgical center. This means they have passed numerous requirements set forth by insurance companies ensuring they are of the best quality. Also, check your insurance (if you are not self-pay) and see if they have a requirement that you go to a designated place.
Hi Yes they are a center of excellence
that makes me feel better.

One thing I would ask is do they have a "program fee" that would be out of pocket fee thus not covered by insurance. Some doctors have a fee which is basically additional profit for them and they do not offer any additional service (Others say this fee covers fills but if your insurance covers fills you don't need this.). My first seminar they had a $400 fee that was just profit for them. I went to another hospital that had a better reputation and they had no fee.
Thanks for the info,I did ask that and he said no,only what ever the insurance covers no extras fees.

Hi, NEW HERE
Do you go to your primary doctor first or do you go directly to a surgeon to start the process for weight loss surgery??
Confused!

The Seminar was great, Made an appointment for a consultation. Thanks to this forum all the information I have made the process very easy to understand.
