  1. I don't have to cook for anyone but me, so that makes things a little easier. I was a regular at my favorite cupcake place. They expected me every week. They probably think I've died. I'm just taking it one day at a time. That's all I can do. In the meantime, I suck on sugare free fruit pops for dessert. You probably don't have a Trader Joe's where you live. They have a great sugar free low carb chocolate.
  2. I wish I didn't have a sweet tooth. I don't like sweet drinks so much. I like the hard core stuff-- cupcakes and cookies. Sigh. I haven't had a real craving since I was banded on 2/26. I know I'll have to be strapped to the chair when it hits me.
  3. I don't know the carbs. You're dealing with the tequila and the lime juice for carbs-- more if you use the agave. I'll search around.
  4. There is the skinny margarita: lime juice, tequila, splash of soda water and agave.. A lot of places don't have agave, so I have it without. It's tart, but it's fine with me. This was all pre-surgery, though.
  5. Thanks. I was worried that maybe I would be missing something by having someone not specifically related to lap band. How often do you of to yours?
  6. Hey Luv bug I found a recipe for a tuna pâté that I've been living on for the past couple of days. 2 cans tuna 1 c cottage cheese 3 tbsp lite mayo 2 tbsp lemon juice 1 tbsp sweet chili sauce 1 tsp garlic flakes Optional: green onion Place ingredients in blender. Blend till smooth, but not till it's too liquidy. Refrigerate for 3 hours. I love it. It's the only way I'll eat cottage cheese. The ingredients sound gross, but come together wonderfully. I'm gonna make some more tonight with nf plain yogurt instead of the mayo. I've been eating it in 1/2 c portions and it satisfies.
  7. Hi, I was banded in Mexico on 2/26/12. I've been looking for a follow up program. My work actually offers a dietician service. I was wondering if anyone has used follow-up care that wasn't specifically related to lap band and what you thought about it.
  8. Hey, I was banded on 2/26 and a couple of my sutures were still draining. I went to urgent care about it today, bc I'm paranoid. Doc said it was fine, but did give me a new antibiotic instead of cipro. (Yay). I've been coughing, too. What causes that?
  9. I'm also a February Bandster. Any partners in the Phoenix area (specifically Chandler)?
  10. Hi I was banded on 2/26. I can't believe it's almost been a week. Does anyone know of a good post op care program in the Phoenix area? Closer to Chandler would be great.
  11. I was just banded on Sunday and I am starving! Any suggestions?
