  2. Hi Sassyfrass. I'm so glad you wrote in. You're actually doing better than I am. I will have my one year anniversary in Feb an I believe I've only lost about 25 lbs. I'm amazed at the wonderful work of everyone else. It's just not working for me.
  3. Luvbug, I totally feel your pain. My weightloss is practically non existent. I wish I were down like other folks. Also, I just had foot surgery, so I can't really exercise. Sigh.

  5. I am feeling discouraged as well. I do find some strength in knowing that I'm not the only one. I may go for another fill. However, my question is, how do you know when you have restriction? Maybe I don't know bc I don't have it?
  6. It was vanilla, but I don't remember the brand.
  7. I second the motion to stay away from protein powder and oatmeal. I tried it and it was HORRIBLE. I'm here to tell the world.

  9. Flouro-- I think the full name is fluoroscopy, but don't quote me on that. It's when they do your fill in front of a live x-ray. They doc can see where everything is like the port and the band. and see how you're swallowing the special liquid they give you. It's pretty cool.
  10. If you can get or make some fruit purée, that goes great with Greek yogurt (with a little sweetener). I stumbled upon at work and I love it. I know not everyone's work carries Greek yogurt with 3 choices of purée. Honestly, I don't even know how to make purée, but its worth learning. I use strawberry and it masks the taste of the greek yogurt and goes down smoothly.
  11. Hey, I haven't seen any other postings about Greek food. Most Greek restaurants have avglommeno (sp?) soup. You could also maybe eat the insides of a dolmade. I believe that's finely chopped meat inside a grape leaf. Both are Greek specialties. I suppose you know this already, but look at the online menu in advance. I can't go anywhere without doing that. Good luck and happy birthday!
  12. Sorry for the double posting. My phone said the original didn't go through.
  13. Hey Judy, Fortunately I didnt have to do that. I have some extended release pills and I read that you shouldn't crush those. I got 1.8cc and the pills still go down fine. I was scared though. I also got this first fill under flouro, which I think is amazing. I'm spoiled for life now.
  14. You should never be sorry for an upgrade from Wendy's to Chick Fil A. Lol
  15. Hey Judy, Some of my meds are time release and I read that you shouldn't crush those. So far, I'm fine. I had 1.8cc put in under flouro (which I live and can't imagine getting a fill without now) and the pills went down ok. I do have mild heart burn though.
  16. I get my first one tomorrow. You know, I'm kinda worried about being able to take my meds after that. Either way, I'm still excited.

  18. I had the same problem with the scan coming off. I cleaned the wound with peroxide. I may get some of those steri strips. Let me know how yours works out. I'm concerned about it as well.

  20. I had most of an omelette and some potatoes for lunch. I feel like I could eat more. Please tell me this will be diminished with a fill!
