Thanks so much for the comments it has helped me in so may ways.I am on the 6th day of my post op liquid diet...and I'm not particularly hungry. Although, there have been plenty of times this week that I've thought about food when I was cooking for my family. I've been doing Water with 4C drink mix, chicken and beef broth, Protein shakes and sugar free Popsicles...other than that I haven't felt hungry. I was able to eat some sugar free Jello and that really helped! I get to start puréed foods on Friday and I'm looking forward to it, but you can do it too!!

My issue is Portion Control as well <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> and frankly I am just tired of losing the same 25 lbs over and over during the last two years. I've lost a total of 70 since 2009... But I just can't seem to get anywhere now. Stuck stuck stuck.
I thought I would have the most difficulty with the mental side of not eating... But since the deadline of the pre op diet start date I have developed a complete brick wall in my brain. Cravings can bash themselves against it endlessly and it will not falter!! On occasion I look in the mirror to remind myself that yes' date=' I'm hungry but no, I'm not starving. Hunger is a feeling, and it's ok to have that feeling and not act on it. just like I don take the Uzi to my ex husbands house and adjust his attitude when I have that feeling, I don't eat when I have a feeling of hunger. I'm learning "hunger management" courtesy of lap band pre op.
As someone was saying here.... Only five more sleeps. I don't have pre op until the morning of, as I'm flying to San Diego from kansas then crossing the border in to tiajuana. Weds doesn't really count for me because I'll be flying all day.
It's so close i can almost taste it...
I'm assuming all your pre op came back normal and you are a go? Do you have a good support system in place?[/quote']
I haven't heard back on the preop tests, but im assuming they will call me if something is wrong. Definitely not a good idea to shoot up your exs house!! I don't envy you having to go all the way to Mexico I'm luckily only going one town away...

Awesome job! I'm down about 12 I think. Somehow next Thursday seems so close' date=' yet such an eternity away! I told my sister today that i was excited, only seven more days of liquid diet until surgery! She asked what kind of diet I'm on after surgery... I told her 21 days of liquid, but I'm not counting that! One hurdle at a time.[/quote']
Exactly, one step at a time! I've never felt full and I look forward to having a full feeling. I won't mind eating less food if my body would just tell me to stop. I don't eat a lot of junk food my problem has always been Portion Control. I'm excited too, I had all of my preop appointments yesterday, chest X-ray, EKG, lab work...

good luck everyone with their pre op diet. fortunately i dont have to worry about one. im going to take barley green and ACA powder to build up my immune system etc etc. started already on the barley green. about to do the ACA powder today as well.
i will be cutting right back on my meals as well... the day before surgery i will just have Soups. thats my pre op plan, not my drs. he doesnt require a plan he says.
I'm doing 4 Protein Shakes a day, 1 vegetable serving, 1 fruit serving, and one starch serving...I get very hungry around dinner time...but i'm three days in and it's not too bad!

I entered an 8K road race last year as a memorial to a deceased friend...I had to walk most of it. I would love to be able to run the full 5 miles next time I run a race!
March 22Nd...
