  1. Passioatehrt- not too bad this morning. No shoulder pain. Just pain at my port site. Taking half a dose of Lortab. It gives me great hope everyday will get better.
  2. So sorry to hear that idahomom. Did they say when you can have lapband? Thanks everyone, I'm doing okay. Better than earlier but still in pain. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
  3. Thanks everyone. Wish I could say it was a breeze. I had natural childbirth and a C-section and I have to say I'd do either of those again in a heartbeat compared to this. I am so sore. Nauseous. It hurts to dry heave. Yuck. I'm barely taking in fluids and they almost kept me. Glad to be home and even though this sucks, I am sure it will be worth it.
  4. It's finally here. I wish I could say I'm excited, but I'm scared to death. On my way to surgery. I'll keep you posted.
  5. I always do this. It certainly goes a long way. The world needs more appreciation if you ask me. Good job to everyone who is showing their appreciation.
  6. Best wishes to you as well. I'm sure we will be fine. See ya on the other side.
  7. Surgery in less than 10 hours! Nervous. What the HECK am I doing?
  8. Congrats to all those recenly banded! I'll be joining you tomorrow
  9. I didn't know quite where to write this, so I made this thread. Scorpiolady's surgery went well and she says thanks for all of the well wishes. She's sore but doing great. As soon as she gets better Internet connection she will give details. Have a great day Springers!
  10. Scorpiolady (Julz) wants everyone to know her surgery went well and she's doing great, a little sore. She will post details when she gets a better Internet connection.
  11. Let us know! Good luck!
  12. Glad you're doing fine. Keep us posted.
  13. My esthetician has a studio attached to her house. She's quick, professional, and talks the whole time about other things. It helps. She didn't even bat an eye at my size.
  14. What is going in with everyone and their TOM being around getting banded?! I just started this morning (btw- a WEEK early), surgery is on Thursday, and to top it off I have a waxing appt in an hour. Bugger.
  15. Ummmm. Never heard of that before. However it is true that an infection in your mouth can easily go to your heart, but I'm not sure it has anything to do with an undetlying heart condition.
  16. Ah, thanks this is the hardest diet I have ever done. I'm proud too.
  17. I'm on Day #11 of my Optifast liquid diet. The first three days were bad. Then, not so much. Every once in a while I'll get a craving, but I'll have a shake or leave the room and I'm fine. In fact I'm having a hard time getting all of my shakes in. Stepping in the scale helps. I have not cheated at all. Watch your sodium intake from broth, it may slow your weight loss down if you're sensitive to it. I'm being banded on Thursday and I'm really nervous, but excited too. You can do this! It gets better!
  18. Good Luck Quieenie! I'll be a couple of days after you (5th). I'm sure you'll do great.
  19. I don't have any protein shot recipes. The protein recipe I shared was for protein jello either made with Isopure or powder.
  20. I hope it gets better for you soon. Doesn't sound like fun.
  21. Wow. Great job!
  22. As long as you eat right 90% of the time. Think of it as shaking up your metabolism... As long as you don't do it often.
