Good afternoon, Violets.. Just sitting here waiting for Ethan to arrive for the afternoon. I'm all dressed up for the ceremony tonight so I don't have to take time to get dressed while Ethan is here. It's a dark, dreary, rainy day today. The lawn is certainly going to need to be mowed soon with all this rain. I haven't had a chance to watch the Tuesday idol program cause I have rehearsal that night, but I'm hoping David Cook wins. It's about time for a rocker to get it. I'm also into Dancing with the stars and surprised, but ok with the outcome last night. Pamela... wealthy, sexy,wealthy, funny, wealthy Italian guy?? psssssssssssssssssst....gimme his number! Just don't tell the Bobster, I doubt he'd understand. Jane.. there's somebody out there for ya. And I LOVE chatting on the internet. I've made some great friends and not only on this site. There's a whole nuther world out there for shy people like me. When I was heavy it was a great place to just be me and not have to worry about what people thought of the outside me. Michelle.. I'm getting in the same routine as you are. Great hopes in the am and by bedtime I'm grazed out and keep saying tomorrow I'm gonna be good. I'm exercising so the weight is staying the same, but I know it should be dropping and that's frustrating. Nope.. not easy for sure. But without the band I wouldn't be grazing, I'd be chowing down with a vengance! Ethan should be here soon so I better start thinking about lunch. Catch ya later!

Good afternoon, Violets.. It's been a semi-lazy day today. I went to the hospital at 9 to help out with their brunch for the nurses in honor of Nurses Week. Of course they had cookies and cake and punch there. And of course I couldn't resist the chocolate chip cookies. I had a few of the smallest ones and then came home and had to take a nap cause the sugar buzz had worn off and left me tired. When I got up I purged the Bobster's closet getting rid of all his 3XLT and 2XLT clothes. He's got way more room in his closet now. Gonna be one heck of a garage sale before our cruise. I'm finishing up on some laundry and then have a singing rehearsal from 7-9 tonight. sure wish I could watch Idol, but haven't been able to this year yet. Pam... I feel for ya!! Luckily where I worked, all of the teachers in our neck of the building got along great. Now the principal was another story, but fortunately I had so much seniority that she didn't want to step on my toes. Unfortunately that left the newer teachers for her to mess with. Ahhhhhhhhhh those are the things I really don't miss about teaching. I'll get my kid fix when I go back to help with Kindergarten Round up May 27 and 28. Tracyinks.... day 2 and you're doing great!! Kat.. are you getting enough protein?? Are you taking your vitamins?? Has Gina left us???? Suzie... I've given up on the Tigers. I'm focusing all my energy on the Pistons and their run for the NBA championship.

Ahhhhhhhhh Flat Stanley. I remember him well. In my classroom we had Teddy who went home with a child each weekend along with a journal. They were to have mom and dad write down what they did all weekend and believe me some of the stories were a hoot! The kids and parents just loved it and I went through many, many Teddy Bears in my Kindergarten career. Ethan was here all day and we had a great time even though he never took a nap. We read books, played ball, played the keyboard, read books, chased each other, wiped windows, read books. I'm pooped and think I need a nap, but it's too late now. I'm headed up to the gym to get my exercising in while I watch tv. Got some laundry going too. Tomorrow is hospital shift and singing rehearsal. Then we have Ethan from 1-5 the rest of the week. Wednesday is DD's pinning ceremony and Thursday morning is an honors breakfast and finally Thursday evening is graduation. Then the countdown to the cruise starts in earnest!! Catch ya'll later.

Good Morning, Violets. Ethan has arrived and I have a staff meeting at 9:30 so I'm already up, dressed and finishing breakfast. Tracy.. nothing wrong with getting off the horse as long as you get back on with renewed intentions. I've been off the path as far as snacking, but in the midst of it all, I've been exercising and I certainly have not been eating as much as I would have pre-band. I really have to set my mind to the 160's cause it's so darn close. I really need to get another angel so people quit asking me about it!! But at least they are interested in my journey and are very supportive. Gotta run and get ready for my staff meeting this morning. Everyone have a great day. Good Morning, Violets.. Busy day at church today so I'm up for an early start. We have confirmation, communion, choir, handbells and I'm singing a solo. I'll be ready for a nap this afternoon, but might have Ethan if his dad and the Bobster decide to go golfing. It's 35 degrees here and sure doesn't feel like spring!! Everyone have a great day. It's Sunday again... Am I the only one doing these tips?? Does anyone still read them???? A Great Diet Tip A great way to lose weight is to eat while you are naked and standing in front of a mirror. Restaurants will almost always throw you out before you can eat too much.

Evening, Violets.. We're baaaaaaaack. It was a great meeting with very interesting speakers. One of the pastors had gastric bypass in January and he had lost 80#. He really needed to lose it fast for health reasons, but he ended up in the hospital for 5 weeks with sepsis. I tried not to rub it in that we only spent one night. I sure did notice how many overweight people were at this meeting and I know I would have been one of them were it not for the band. I can't tell you what a great feeling it is to not be the heaviest one in the group. Well, I'm guessing you all have had that same nsv, and it's a very motivating one. I'm going to go watch the second half of the Pistons game and the Tigers and then head to the hot tub if it isn't raining and then to bed. Everyone have a good evening..

Good evening, Violets.. Ethan left about a half hour ago and the Bobster is getting himself packed so we can leave within the hour. I'll update the countdown early and then be on my way. Everyone have a good evening tonight and a good day tomorrow.

Good afternoon, Violets!! Just got back from an extra shift at the hospital. Next week is nursing week so they have lots of extra things that needed to get done. I'm home now with Ethan and will be here til his daddy picks him up and we leave for our church meeting. Had an NSV at the hospital today. The volunteer at the registration desk where I sign in and out was on the phone when I signed in. When I was leaving she said.. "I couldn't talk to you when you came in, but I want to know what's happened to you. You've lost a lot of weight!" That made my day!! Of course I told her about the lapband. Everyone just gives me a stunned look when I say I've had lapband surgery. I'm so glad to hear you talking about those little guys who are behind in their speech. Ethan is that way. He'll be 2 June 2nd and only says a few words. He's smart, but really delayed in speech. Hopefully mom and dad will get him tested after he turns 2 to see if he needs some speech therapy or if he's fine and is just delayed a bit. Time to go read the foot book to him for the gazillionth time! Left foot, left foot, right foot, right...............and on and on and on and on..............

Congrats, Michelle!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of you! And I'm proud of ALL the Violets. Busy day today for the Bobster running around getting all the paperwork done on the boat so he could bring it home. It's next to the house now with a new cover on it. The neighbor came over to see it after Bob spent about 1/2 hour trying to get the boat backed in. I gave up after 5 mintues when he wouldn't listen to anything I was saying. The neighbor said it was good entertainment..:wub: Tomorrow I have another shift at the hospital and then Ethan comes for the day. Then we leave for a church meeting all day Saturday. We'll stay overnight Friday in a hotel and get to the meeting early Saturday morning. It will be nice to get away with the Bobster for a night and a day even if it means having to sit through lots of church stuff. My Tigers and Pistons won so I can sleep well tonight.
