Good Morning, Violets.. It's a beautiful day here. Sun is shining and not a cloud in the sky. We're going to our Lapband support group meeting today at 11 and then off to DD Kris's house for her graduation party. I get to see my other son and his family including grandkids Mara, Everett, and Amelia. Ethan will be there so it will be fun, fun, fun!! I was so tired last night after making the potato salad, macaroni/chicken salad and deviled eggs that I fell asleep on the couch during the Tiger's game and didn't wake up til the Bobster said it was time for bed! I came in here, posted the countdown and then went to bed. Slept til 7:45 and woke up thinking about Texas!!!!!! Everyone have a great day. Terry... hope your mom is doing better today. I saw your name and was afraid to open the thread, but thankfully it was better news. We'll continue to pray that she holds her own and that you'll be able to be with us in a few days. It just wouldn't be an official gathering without YOU!!

Boy, I'm missing my mom and dad today. Saw a little old guy at Walmart and it reminded me of my dad. Saw Michelle's post on Blueberry Buckle and it reminded me of my mom. She was a fantastic cook and baker. Her pies were to die for and her blueberry buckle was the best. It's all good though. Best to have those good memories on Mother's Day. Mom would have been 88 May 25th and Dad would have been 89 on the 20th of June. Hard to believe I'm going to be 61 next month!!!!!! But I'm so enjoying this time of my life. A lady behind me at the check out at Walmart told me how good I looked and those little NSV's carry me through. We went to Culvers for lunch and the Bobster and I split a chicken dinner. Note to self... do NOT start the meal eating their rolls cause even though they are delish, nothing after that will go down. Ended up PBing twice and DD gets so huffy at me when I do that. She's right though. I should know by now!! Off to fix the potato salad, deviled eggs and macaroni/chicken salad for the graduation party tomorrow.

Goooooooooooooood morning, Violets!! One week from today I'll be at the airport and just 7 hours after that I'll be trying to find my roomie and TracyK. Cute and accent I don't care about. Being able to find me in an airport I care about!! I'm trying to get an eggbeater down this morning, but it's not working. Going to go get dressed and head to the hospital to do some filing, then to Walmart to pick up the things to make potato salad and macaroni salad for tomorrow's graduation party. Everyone have a great Friday. Make wise choices and drink, drink, drink!!!

Good evening, Violets.. DS just came and picked up Ethan so we will be leaving in a few mintues to go to graduation. Ethan took a long nap today and I snuck in a short one. Tomorrow I need to get all the stuff to make potato salad for the graduation party on Saturday. I have our lap band support group at 11 and the party at 4. Everyone have a good evening and I'll check in after I do the hot tub tonight.

Kat... I went to my hairdresser once in the evening after school and other commitments and she and I were the only ones in the place. She had the radio cranked up and 60's songs were on and she and I got to singing and before we knew it my hair was the shortest it had ever been!! The running joke there now is, don't let Cindy sing when she's cutting your hair!

Good afternoon, Violets.. I'm back from the honors breakfast and waiting for Ethan to arrive for the afternoon. The breakfast was really nice. They served french toast, sausage and fruit. I ate one of the french toast rounds, 1 sausage and a couple of pieces of fruit and it took me a half hour at least. DD Kristin recieved her honors cords for Cum Laude and Phi Theta Kappa. One more ceremony tonight and then she is officially graduated and an LPN. She will take her boards this summer. Suzie... how exciting for you to have a potential Idol in your hometown!! Did I remember you saying that he dated a relative of yours? Just think.. you can say you knew him when! I saw Clay Aiken on the View today and that boy sure can sing. I am definitely a Claymate. I wish he was on tour this summer so DD and I could go see him again. Time to think about lunch. Everyone have a good afternoon!!

Thanks for the input. You confirmed what I thought. Actually the only things extra I need are 2 DeJa Blue bottles. That's what I fix my Crystal Light in and they are the perfect size. But I can pick those up anytime after I land. Woooo hooooo... one week from tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Jennifer!! Long time, no see. How is everything with you??? Violets... has anyone received an email from the Boston Consulting Group asking you to participate in an hour long phone interview about lapbands? The bobster got an email about it and we're wondering if it's legit. They will pay $75 for his time. It looks legit, but you never know about those email scams. The pinning for DD was really nice this evening. Not only did she get her LPN pin, but she also received an award given to a student with a 3.0 or higher grade point, more than 10 hours of community service and an exemplary nursing student. I'm so PROUD of her!!!!! Tomorrow is graduation in the evening and an honors breakfast in the morning. I'll be choking down breakfast with her. Should be interesting!! I'm just in from the hot tub and am going to change into my pjs and hit the sack. Everyone have a great evening! One week from tomorrow I'll be downstate at the hotel before getting on the plane to Texas the next morning!! Wooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! And Yeeeeeeeeee Hawwwwwwwwwwwww!!
