Good morning, Violets.. It rained really hard last night so no leave burning today unless we want to smoke out the neighborhood. DD Kris will be here this morning and Ethan arrives at noon. Other than that, nothing is planned special for today. Guess I'll do some laundry and a little cleaning. PamELA...can't wait to hear what you thought of the concert. What a lucky lady to be able to go. We never get anything like that around here. Maybe Englebert Humperdink at the Casino... big whoop. The Bobster is on his way to church for the day so it's pretty quiet here. I didn't even get up til 9. Guess I'll go find something for breakfast and then start laundry. Good evening, Violets.. Another day over and just in from the hot tub exercises. The Bobster and I watched CSI tonight. Does anyone else watch that show, cause I didn't understand the ending on this one!! PamELa....Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears are supposed to be at the Madonna concert tonight. Good Morning, Violets... Wow, what a different feeling to type without hearing and feeling the clickety click of fake nails. Now it's the stubs of my fingers hitting the keys cause the nails are slowing being filed back to nothing. YIKES! But I'm ok with it. I used to think the nails would draw attention away from the fat body, but things are looking way better now. Had an egg, turkey sausage and cheese omelette for breakfast. That should hold me til noonish. But there's always jello if I get hungry. Lately I haven't had the need for 5 meals a day. And I'm not grazing at night so I'm guessing this fill is the one. TracyinKS.....duct tape would work on your mouth wouldn't it??? Just slap some on, put a little lipstick on it and wah lah, good to go! YOU CAN DO IT... we're all here for you. You really have to get the reflux under control before you do some damage. I know after this last fill, if I ate at night I would get the reflux during the night and that is a feeling I absolutely hate. Waking up choking, not able to breathe, with that bitter, burning feeling in my throat is horrible. I used to sleep almost sitting up at night before the band to avoid that feeling. Now I can sleep on my stomach and not be afraid I'll wake up in the middle of the night gagging. Hope everyone has a great day. I'm taking my friend for her radiation treatment and then Ethan comes at noon. We got some yard work done yesterday and hope to finish today. The weather has been absolutely beautiful. Highs in the 60's and sunshine. It's a very late Indian summer here and I'm loving it cause I know what's on the horizon!!!

Jane.. are you feeling better???? 53 years is a longggggggg time. The Bobster and I will be celebrating our 40th this June. I've lived with him twice as long as I lived with my parents... :biggrin: Ethan's mommy and daddy are coming to pick him up in a few minutes and then I think I'll be taking a short nap. Susie... my nails are taking a beating today! They are paper thin and getting shorter and shorter and shorter as they break off.

Well, obviously the default font and color doesn't work automatically. Back to punching it in every time.

Back from rehearsal. Two hours of playing flute is a little much for this old lady, but I sure do love it. We are playing for the senior citizens again on the 19th. Ethan kind of demolished the house while I was gone. Poppa is not the world's best babysitter. He kinda gets lost in his own world when he's watching the tv or reading. Now I can take a breather for the rest of the day and Ethan is now laying on the couch so if he takes a nap, so do I! Catch you all later.

Good Morning, Violets.. Didn't get to bed til 2 a.m. and I was up at 7:30 as Ethan arrived at 8. Flute rehearsal this morning and choir tonight. I sure hope Ethan naps today cause gramma is gonna need one for sure!!

Whoa!! whole new site now! Just got home and am headed to bed. I'm a happy camper and a proud one too. Everyone sleep well.

Small town or no, I certainly would report it, Laura. The rules need to be followed and obviously they weren't where you voted. I had to show a photo ID when I voted.

Michelle... the Bobster was telling me about the Krispy Kremes and Starbucks.. neither of which we have in our town. We'd probably get a hot chocolate and venison jerky. What prompted me after 6 years?? Well, let's see. Partly the $30 per time I shell out for one hour's work and partly I just miss the feel of my nails and I want them to be able to breathe for awhile. But mostly the $30 bucks!!! Bob's pension is based on the stock market and it's going to take a big hit next quarter. Plus he will be losing one of his jobs. He's done with his little church in January. My SS doesn't start til July so we'll be counting pennies for a bit. I have NOT done well with my eating today. So far I have had 1 cup chocolate milk (lo fat) 1 small bag Cheetos several Wint-o-green lifesavers 3/4 Mc Donald's fish sandwich a few fries (6) 1/2 sliver of coconut cream pie (shared with Bob) 2 cookies and 1/2 a pumpkin cream cheese muffin They had all the sinful stuff at the headquarters where I was doing the phone calling and it was just too darn close to me!!! But this is the only day in a long time that I have been this bad. And I won't weigh in til Sunday so I'll try and work it off before then. My friend Kathy called and she has lost 17# in one month. She had lost more, but gained 3# while she was in the hospital. I told her that was normal with all the IV's she had, but she said, no, she ate thinking she needed to build up her strength. She's only a month out and is not supposed to be eating regular food yet so she jumped the gun. But she's doing well now and should be able to eat regular food (according to our doctor's schedule) next Tuesday. We're headed to their house after my rehearsal tonight to watch the election results.

And I'm back from 3 hours of calling people to remind them to vote. And I just made a major decision and took off all my acrylic nails. yikes.... haven't seen my own nails in 6 years. Now I just have to get up the courage to call my nail tech to tell her I'm done with them for awhile. I hate telling people no.. But the nails are off, so no use going in Thursday for my appointment. I'm off to watch some tv before bell choir. Everyone have a great day..

The lines were not long at all, but by the time we left they were growing. My duty is done. Now to wait for the results. PamELa.. have a good day. I'm sure I'll be texting you tonight.. lol Guess I'll do some laundry while I wait to go make phone calls at noon. I'll keep this open and check back every now and then.
