Good Morning, Violets.. We got a good batch of snow last night and all the schools in the area are closed today. I'm sooooo glad that I'm retired and don't have to worry about driving 60 miles to work on those roads. In the 32 years that I did it, we were never late, but there were several times we drove all the way there only to find out that school had been closed at the last minute. That's before cell phones!! I slept in today so am running late. Got to get dressed to head to the hospital for my shift and then get my hair cut, cut, cut!! She talked me out of really short last time, but I'm going to try and win this time. Everyone have a great day!!! Catch you later.

Gosh, I love DWTS!! Can't wait to see who wins. They all did a great job tonight. I'd be happy with whomever won. No hot tub tonight.. it's snowing too hard. I'll be surprised if there is school here tomorrow. The roads are really slippery. THe Bobster and I went out for dinner and to drop off the presents for the Angel Tree kids. There were very few people at the mall and only three other tables of people at the restaurant. I have my hospital shift tomorrow, a hair cut and a rehearsal. Everyone have a great night. Hey Violets.. I've been out and about, completed my errands and now Ethan is laying on the couch with his blankie, so I have a few minutes to post. TRACYINKS!!!! LMAO!!! The flying monkey arrived today along with a very scary pic of a pink bag lady! What a hoot. Ethan is cuddling with the monkey right now. I made it fly and when it started making its monkey noise he picked it up and hugged and hugged it. Terry.. no drama at the service. Just crap. It was a total waste of time for me as it didn't address the elephant at all. I will have to make a decision next year about what I want to do.. stay with the choir or leave the church I've been a part of for 25 years. I just need more there than I'm getting. Pam.. I used to hate being gone from school. Making up lesson plans was way harder than being there, by a long shot. In Kindergarten there is such a routine and to have to write it out minute by minute takes forever. I finally had it all saved on my computer so I could just print it out with some minor changes, but still, its such a production!

Good Morning, Violets.. Ethan has arrived and is watching SpongeBob cartoons so I have a minute to post. Michelle.. can't you get some Prilosec to tide you over till your meds come in?? I've been having reflux issues lately, but that's because I'm eating too soon before bed and my band won't allow the food to go down in that short amount of time. It's the reason I know my band is at a good restriction. The issues I have are way less than they were pre-band. It's snowing out now and the police scanner just called in for a roll over accident. Today is my day to take my friend to her radiation treatment. I better leave a few minutes early so I don't have to rush on those roads. My car is making squealing noises so I guess it goes into the shop today. I don't even want to think about the bill for that! And right at Christmas time too. I'm glad I have most of the shopping done already. Ethan is calling for MomMom, so I better go see what he wants. Will check back later..

Same here, Tracy. I'm headed out to the hot tub and then relaxing with the Bobster and watching some tv before going to bed. Ethan comes at 8 tomorrow morning for the day. The dogs are going to the groomer tomorrow and I have my friend to take to radiation and Community Chorus in the evening. Church meeting was uneventful today. I thought it was a waste of time, but what do I know?? Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well..

Good evening, Violets.. Well, it's been a busy day today. We picked Ethan up at 11, then to the church to pack Thanksgiving baskets and then we delivered 3 of the 17. Then back home so Kris could take Ethan to her house for the day and night. DS Joe and DSIL Nathan are hunting today and tomorrow. Kris will bring Ethan and his brother into town tomorrow for church. The Bobster and I got a LOT of Christmas shopping done today. There were not many people out at 8 p.m. shopping this evening. The grandkids are all taken care of and all the kids are done. The only one left to buy for is Bob and that won't be too difficult. We both said just a few small things since neither of us really needs anything. So I'm going to get him a pair of indoor/outdoor slippers and a Civil War book. I asked for the new James Patterson book and a new bathrobe. I don't think I've ever been this close to being done with Christmas shopping this early before. Tomorrow is a big day at church. We're having a service in the Fellowship Hall with a special meeting on the future of the church. I'm singing a solo and the choir is singing and then it's a very short 15 minute service so we can eat and talk afterwards. I just hope someone addresses the fact that we have an 800 pound elephant in the room that everyone is tiptoeing around. The pastor got a bad evaluation and is an area of big concern to many. We shall see what tomorrow brings. I'm going to go out to the hot tub and do my exercises and then head to bed. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well. (((hugs)))) to PamELa..

Pam...hugs and prayers to you and your family. I'm so glad you were able to see your dad a little while ago and say what you needed to say to him and hear what he had to say to you. He's no longer in pain and you and I know he's in a much better place. It's those that are left behind that have to deal with the grief. But know that he's watching over you now and so proud of you and your brother. (((((hugs)))))

No text for me. ;o((( Back from the ultra sound. That is soooooo kewl. But the technician wouldn't go to the areas I needed to know about. sighhh Guess I'll just have to wait for February. The baby is now breech after turning completely around. Last ultra sound in October they couldn't get the head cause it was so low. This time the feet are kicking her bladder. Fun, fun! Going to finish watching Hairspray for the upteenth time and then out to dinner. Everyone have a great one!!

Good Morning, Violets.. I slept in til 9:15 this morning. wooo hoooo!! Going to Kris's ultrasound today with my magnifying glass so I can check out certain baby body parts. But I have to do it discreetly since Kris doesn't want to know. Mae.. CONGRATS on onederland!!!! That's a really big accomplishment. PamELa... CONGRATS on working out this morning. I'm proud of you, sistah!!! TracyK... I agree with the others.. It more than likely is water weight, so don't add to it with bad choices!!! Laura... I was thinking just what Terry was, that perhaps you were allergic to something in the vitamins. Have it checked out. Michelle.. have a great day with your friends today. Drive safe!! Susie...Keep making those good choices and I'll do the same. We're in this together!! We have about 4 inches of snow on the ground. It snowed most of the night. I didn't even get in the hot tub because it was only 20 degrees out and I just didn't feel like getting that cold before I got warm in the water. I have to do it tonight though since I do my toning exercises in the hot tub. It's 18 degrees right now, so I'm sure it will be bitterly cold tonight, but I'll just have to run and jump in quick before my body realizes how dang cold it is!!! Going to get some breakfast and then enjoy my day with Kris. Everyone have a great TGIF!!

Ok... here's the balmy weather we are having lately.. First pic is of the little area with the deer and trees we lit up yesterday. Second is the tree by the hot tub, third is a pic of my two yorkies and last is a pic of Jetta, the garage dog. I took the pics with my phone so they are small. The snow was falling down in big flakes when I was out with the dogs. A winter wonderland, but I would prefer it wait til December!!

Michelle is right TracyK.. I wasn't concerned that the vomiting was band related. I was concerned about what it could do to the band. My doctor said if I ever had to vomit to call them right away. I have my motion sickness pills handy so that if I ever feel like upchucking, I take one right away. With all the vomiting you did, it would be wise to have the band checked out.

Woo hoooo... snow on the ground and Christmas presents at my door!! Thanks Laura! Now I have to contain myself for over a month with those presents sitting under my tree. Oh wait... no tree up yet! Ok.. so they'll sit on my counter til the tree is up. I'm not real good at temptation, ya know!! Heading out to take my friend to her radiation treatment and then a meeting at the church. Good evening, Violets.. Well, my day is finally over and I'm in my nammies relaxing. The gig at the Senior Citizen's home went very well. They were very appreciative. Choir was excellent.. I had 20 voices and we got through a lot of the Christmas music and I think it will be fine in time for the pageant on the 21st. Bob had the Christmas lights on for me when I got home and they looked beautiful. He turned them off as soon as I got a good look. We'll turn them on after Thanksgiving. TracyK.... take care of yourself. I was worried all day about you!!! PamELa... take care of yourself too!! You've been a good girl working on your diss. today. But you really need a new chair! TracyinKS...things are going to keep looking better for you now. We have about 3 inches of snow on the ground right now. My son called from Benton Harbor which is 6 hours away. They got a foot of snow today and are expecting another foot tomorrow. Sure hope it doesn't head this way!!! My scanner has been crazy tonight Bob says. Lots and lots of accidents with the roads really bad and people not used to driving in winter conditions yet. Laura... stuffing is my favorite part of Thanksgiving. I make mine like my mom did, with raisins and lots and lots of poultry seasoning. She and I would make a meal of stuffing, gravy and dark turkey meat. ( again I wonder how I got fat.....:thumbup:) This Saturday Bob and I are delivering Thanksgiving baskets for the church. We do it every year. We also do the Angel Tree. This is a special time of year, for sure. Michelle.. so sorry to hear about your friend. Losing someone is hard enough with losing them right at the holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas will never be the same for her family again.. My prayers are with them. Haydee.. you take care of yourself. What is it with the Violets all of a sudden??? We need our purple power!! Gonna go watch the end of the Pistons game and then head to bed. It's snowing too hard to go in the hot tub tonight. Everyone have a great night.. Sleep well!!

I forgot to mention.. my weatherbug was chirping. We are under a winter weather advisory for 2-5 inches of snow possible by this evening. Here we go!!

Good afternoon, Violets... Well, the tree outside has over a thousand lights on it. It was touch and go trying to get everything lit at once, but it's DONE! We have 8 minature pine trees with lights and two lighted deer, plus the lighted garland on the porch and lights around the roof line of the house. We have never put so many out before, but we bought a ton at half price at the end of the season last year. I still have a closet full of lights, but they'll be good back ups. Laura.. I don't know what the rash is. Why are your docs not treating it??? Is it a symptom of the ringworm? TracyinKS.. whew on the NORMAL mammagram!!! And looks like the meds will be helpful to Robby once they are regulated properly. Things are looking up for you! Excellent!! Chili is ready for lunch and then off to my flute rehearsal and gig and then choir and dinner afterwards. Will check back later tonight. Everyone have a good day. Hope TracyK can check in...
