  1. Ok i tried some lean mince in sauce, i managed about three tablespoons. Ate really slowly, tiny bites and i chew chew chewed. It's a bit frustrating actually, I'll just have to serve myself teeny tiny portions to avoid feeling wasteful!
  2. I know Shauna I've just been mental busy with work and literally haven't thought much about it. It's a week tomorrow so Im about to try something now. Will be back shortly to update x
  3. Hiya ok so my fill was a week ago tomorrow and Im still on liquids, i did have some tuna the other day and it was ok, felt very full after a small can but didn't get stuck or feel uncomfortable but Im just so satisfied with liquids- maybe that's just lazy I'll try eat more real foods from now on. I did try a biscuit last night -not a good choice i know!- and i got terribly stuck and sore. My band hates biscuits Im delighted!! I don't feel too tight but i suppose i won't really know until Im eating properly. I can't BELIEVE how little i care about food now, never think about it. I used to hear of these people who'd say they just forget to eat and thought that'd neeeever be me! Long may it last! Sorry for the jumbled up message Im mad busy in work but will update again when i have something proper to eat later!x
  4. Amazing. Thanks so much for sharing, really is so inspiring for us newbies!x
  5. Thanks I've looked for chewable but can't find any that are not childrens Im in Ireland. I had my fill on Friday and still on liquids and totally satisfied but would be it bad, dangerous for me to take my normal multivit? It's quite big!
  6. Haha well Im drinking loading of water so no but I've heard it can!
  7. Im really sorry to hear that you're being treated like this. A couple of years ago i started this shake diet, my very very best friend who i spent every day with just stopped speaking to me completely. I lost over 100lbs and tried to get our friendship back but she made no effort whatsoever until i started regaining all the weight then she apologised for what happened and said it's because she was jealous i was doing something she couldn't. Then we went back to being best friends and eating buddies again and since I've had my band guess what's happened! Not a peep. I feel so annoyed and abandoned but i figure that was her last chance. Im sorry I've nothing more constructive to say just that i understand.x
  8. Oh wow i never heard of that before, i thought it was grand because it was a third of my daily nutrients etc and Im told to get calcium at each meal. So weird how different surgeons etc have such different opinions. Congratulations to you all on the band too and thanks for all the input. It's the am here and just having a black coffee, wow even that's filling me up this fill may just have been the one!
  9. That's totally normal! I was eating normal after my op, i tried to be healthy and lost some weight but i put that down to the liquid diet after the band. The whole point of the band is fills i would have thought, i just had my second fill yesterday taking me to 5cc and Im hoping that gives a helping hand along with my meeting with the dietition last week which really helped too. Get your fills as you need them.x
  10. Thanks for the replies, really appreciate them Yeah as the day has gone on I've managed a few glasses of water and a cup of soup. I think the real test will be when i go back on normal food. It's funny how one fill can make such a difference. I had thought my first one was brilliant but it only lasted about a week so I'll wait and see. Thanks
  11. Hiya Im in Ireland so its 11am here. I had a fill yesterday taking me up to 5cc, i had a coffee yesterday, a cuppa Soup last night and a low cal hot chocolate- all fine! I had black coffee first thing this morning, no problem. Im trying to sip a slim fast now but Im getting loads of saliva in my mouth, i believe it's called sliming ugh! Does this sound normal? Id hate to get an unfill because I've never had restriction of any description until now it seems! Any opinions very much appreciate
  12. No problem I've been a demon with cravings too and worse of all i had been giving into them more often than not. This week I've been absolutely fine though so i really believe the Berocca is doing something hurray!

  14. I had a dietition appointment on Monday and like you I've been craving chocolate a lot in the past few weeks. She gave me some great advice- B vitamins increase the serotonin in your body/brain making sugar cravings lessen. She advised me to take a Berroca in the mornings and i know its only Wednesday but Im noticing a real difference so maybe try that? Can't do any harm because Berrdoca and similar things contain loads of essential vitamins anyway.

  16. Oh wow that's really good and quick! Im not really aware what plication is? I also must add, for anyone that's wary of being my mentor because they may think i lack the will power etc. I lost 112lbs on my own a few years ago, through bad choices, pregnancy, my mothers death and no exercise i regained it. So i do have the will power once i get my head in the game Obese Irish girl, free to good home
  17. Hi Im an Irish 24year old female. Im banded just over two months and my weight has fluctuated between a 20lb loss to an 11lb loss (9lb gain ) i have 5cc in a ten cc band. I currently weigh 267lbs and would love a mentor who started similar to me. My goal is about 140-150. Seems like a huge mountain to climb and would love some motivation from someone who has done it. Really hope to hear from someone
