  1. Me too! I'm just hungry so I'm really praying I'm not as hungry after I'm sleeved. I just fixed my kids dinner and my head is POUNDING! I'm thinking I'll be pretty happy to finally get knocked out for a few hours on Wednesday morning!

    Hey Dallas Divas!!!

I know I'm a little late on this topic, but I'm having my surgery on March 28th with Dr. James Davidson at Forest Park Medical Center. Any Dallas girls getting sleeved with me in March 2012- I'd love a few friends to take the ride with! I'd also LOVE to hear from anyone who has ever had the sleeve done by Dr. James Davidson and how you are doing! I feel like I'm the only one in Dallas having this procedure done in March-where are ya'll?

    New Here Looking For Suggestions

I'm scheduled with Dr. James Davidson on March 28th in Dallas. He is head of Bariatrics at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas and I was referred to him by a neighbor who had the procedure several years ago.
  4. That is my biggest fear is lack of energy! I'm scheduled for March 28th and I have 3 small kids. EVERYONE has said the sleeve is the "best decision" they have ever made in their lives so I'm hanging on to those words! No one has ever said it in the first week though as far as I know Most everyone seems to think thr turning point is around week 2.

    Seeking Buddies 5'2" & Under

I'm so excited(thanks new friend who directed me here!) I'm scheduled for March 28th in Dallas Texas with Dr. Davidson(head of bariatrics at Presbyterian Hospital). He said he was doing this surgery for me because I was 5',0". Starting weight is 168 and goal weight is 108. BMI is 33. Doctor said I would literally have to consume under 900 calories per day and walk moderately 5 days a week to maintain my current weight based on harris-benedict formula. Losing weight would require an even larger calorie deficit. Exercising on top of the calorie deficit would be next to impossible to maintain forever and lowers your metabolic rate. I'm excited and a little nervous since I've got three very busy kids to keep up with after the surgery. Husband thinks I've flipped my top but is supportive and staying home a week(praying that is enough time)!

    Anyone Feeling Moody?

I'd love to hear back from you with an update. I'm new to this board and you are the first person I've found with only 70 pounds to lose. I'm scheduled for March 28th, I weigh 168 but I'm only 5', 0" and have a bmi of 33. I have three young kids and a traveling husband. Sounds like I might need to go out and get a job pretty quick! I'd love to know how you are doing. Did you hit goal, how long? Honestly, my biggest fear is becoming weak from rapid muscle loss with only 60 pounds to lose. Besides being overweight, I'm really healthy and active but I had back problems after my 3rd baby so will never be able to use cardio for fat burning anymore. Thank you!
