  1. 1500-1700 cals seems like a lot for someone on this journey. i agree that you should reduce those and see where it gets you. also, try and switch one meal for a liquid meal (Protein shake, diluted fruit juice, broth soup) or something. that may help. try not to eat after 8pm maybe? if you go to bed early, try not to eat after 7pm?
  2. premier protein from costo like someone else said is awesome. and "oh yeah" protein shakes form luckyvitmain.com are great. they have banance cream, cookies and cream, and strawberry cream and all are very good. i sometimes with them with fat free frozen yogurt.
  3. I have wrapped myself twice in the past month and I have to say that my midsection does look slimmer and more tone (granted I didn't really need any proof). I'm glad this came up in conversation, I think I'm gonna wrap myself again tonight. I do the wraps along with Arbonne detox tea, and since I dont drink anything other than water, tea, or 100% fruit juice, my system is flushing itself pretty well.
  4. I went for a fill yesterday since I dont have much "restriction" and i told my doctor that since surgery Ive had some issues with acid reflux, which has never been an issue before. well he told me that once i reach the green zone (which will probably require more fill) my acid reflux will be under control. has anyone heard of this before? because i was under the impression that aicd reflux may be a symptom of a too tight band, not one that needs more fill. A little more detail - I have never thrown up with my band, only had 1 stuck episode the day after a fill, and I rarely have any sliming or PB. I have no intolerance to bread, rice, Pasta, etc and I can eat about 1.5 cups of food, sometimes more, per meal. So I agree that I am not at the green zone and I need more fill to acheive my weight loss goals, but I just wanted to ask if anyone else had heard about the acid reflux going away with more fill? If that's true, I'll be so happy!
  5. Hey March bandsters!!!! Anyone that has lost 50 lbs or more over this past yr???? I would love to hear from you, and any tips/tricks that you can offer would be darling! Do you strive to get in XX grams of Protein a day? Do you stay away from carbs - bread, Pasta, rice, etc? Do you drink XX oz of Water each day? Any tips would be helpful, as I want my 2nd year to be more fruitful than my 1st!
  6. I am in the EXACT same boat. I am a year out and I'm only down like 25 lbs. Granted I've never lost 25 lbs in a year on my own so Im thankful ... but sheesh I wish the results were quicker. Can we be 1 year support buddies? My email is info@sydneywyatt.com and on MFP my screen name is sunnyhoney11
  7. so glad you're feeling better! keep listening to your body!
  8. My doctor opted for the realize band for my procedure .... and im losing SO MUCH MORE SLOWLY than others with the Lap Band .... Im not sure if the outcome would have been different with the lapband but I cant help but think about it.
  9. I was kinda off this morning ... for breakfast I had a small caesar salad with a scoop of tuna, and I had a mini brownie. 300 cal total for my meal.
  10. i ordered the WonderSlim sample pack for $18.99 ... didnt have the stuff i really wanted inside (mostly shakes and the cheesecake flavored pudding) but so far Ive tried the hot chocolate and the chicken noodle soup. I have had worse Protein foods so I can't complain. I added a spalsh or french vanilla creamer to the pudding, and i added a little salt to the soup. the items are very low in calories and have a good amount of protein (~12g) per packet so I think i'll order more stuff and keep you guys posted.
  11. CONGRATS!!! are still doing weight training and cardio, or only cardio since surgery? What are you eating (portion size and how often)?
  12. My weightloss stall very easily, and I notice that when I replace one meal with a liquid meal (protein shake, soup, or other) I can continue to lose weight. I know they have a bunch of shakes and whatnot, and since its pre-portioned I know Im eating the right amount (that's sometimes a problem area for me).
  13. before and after pics!!!! CONGRATS!!!!
  14. http://www.bariatricchoice.com/catalog_request.aspx
  15. i just ordered the free Bariatric Choice catalog and i wanted to know if anyone has ordered form them before and if they like it ... if so, what are your favorite items?
  16. do you have the nutritional info for this to post? thanks a bunch!
  17. How was the mindful eating class? I went on the ship and gained 7 lbs ... SMH. Nohting to do but eat and sleep and gamble LOL. I did go to the gym and I did a lot of walking and excursions and STILL gained 7 lbs. Good news is that 4 of those lbs are already gone this week so I'm back on track. Super awesome news is that I got into my sequin dress by the cruise, and I wore it to the captain's dinner!!! YAY!!!!!
  18. My sign of tightness is acid reflux that starts with only 1 bite of food. I've never thrown up with the band so I'm not sure. But I would say that if you throw up 3 times in 3 days, you should go back.
  19. if your stool is hard/dry that means you arent getting enough water. drink 3x as much as you drink now ... also I eat raw spinach and lettuce salads .... like 2 cups of salad mix a day and Im fine.
  20. looks good. I may have to try these for the ones that are less than 200 calories.
  21. Have you tried a liquid diet for 2 or 3 days? Do soups and protein shakes and nothing else for 2 or 3 days ... sometimes that helps to break the plateau.
  22. I've heard that slips are caused by over eating or by vomitting a lot ... I've never had one so I have no idea. Im sorry about your predicament. Have you been able to keep the weight off during your revisions? Best of luck!
