I am not getting the plication. We actually didn't discuss that, but I didn't really know to ask about it either in the beginning. I think I'm just going for the good ol' band I'm sure its all going to go well. It's just the anticipation to the lead up I think. I'm trying to be aware and read a lot online. But I'm staying away from the negative feedback & stories. I want to do this with the most positive outlook possible, I don't want to plant seeds in my head of other peoples horror stories & ruminate on them. I'm just excited to be on the flipside (recovery) How about you?

Hi there, I also have my pre-op class July 11th & am getting banded July 25th. I would love to know more also about the pre-op. All I do know is I will be getting my scripts to fill and have ready after surgery. The office said I will be having lab work done too. I'm just not sure yet what that entails yet. I'm sure some of these wonderful people on this site will share what their experiences may have been. Though I'm sure it all differs just a bit. So are you excited, getting nervous? I can't wait!! Congrats! That is exciting, isn't it? I'm getting banded 7/25th. A lil' nervous, but the excitment for the chapter change trumps any nervs at this point. I hope I can have a good start like you. Good inspiration Thanks for sharing

Hey everybody, I finally got the call yesterday that I was approved. It's been a long process, but so worth the patience. I feel like I should be more nervous, but the excitement is defiantly trumping it! Congrats July Bandsters to our new chapter change. This site is an amazing support system &I love how positive the people are here. My date is July 25th

Finally, I was approved by Aetna today!!! It's taken a while, I should receive a call tomorrow to sched the surgery date. Now this is starting to feel real. I'm a bit nervous for the surgery piece. But I'm confident from all the good things I've heard from others experiences. I can't wait to get this ball rolling. Ok, at work & had to vent with this positive news

Hey guys, I've been offline for a bit. Glad to hear everyones sucesses. I am still waiting on approval. The process with insurance has taken a bit of time. Keeping patient & I'm waiting for the callback any day now. Im nervous & excited (just want the surgery part to get here) I can't wait to start this chapter change. Lets keep this local thread going. Its pretty cool to to talk to people right here going through the same things.

Congrats!!! That is really exciting, & probably feels kind of surreal. I have one more weight manag. appt. left & hopefully I will be having surgery in June. You've just started your new chapter, I can't wait to start mine as well I hope you have a fast recovery. Have a beautiful day.....

No dates sched yet. I have to have 3 months weight managment per insurnace 1st. My 3rd appt for the weight management is April 10th. Dr Patterson said surgery will be this May. Just not sure on the date yet. I would love to keep in touch with my fellow locals on this amazing journey...

Hello, I think it's going to be at "The Surgery Center" Dr. Patterson said it's not far from their office on 22nd & Lovejoy. This site is pretty new for me, it's really nice to meet other people going through this journey as well. (Especially locally )

Hi therem I'm in the Beaverton area. Pre-op, I'm getting banded sometime this May. Glad to see some others here, moved here from AZ 1 1/2 years ago. Love the PNW so far, best place I've lived. Very excited to get banded and start a new chapter Have a beautiful day... Nikki

I have been going back and forth in my mind as well. Thinking yeah, what am I about to do to myself.... Then the flipside kicks in and say's yeah, this is the best thing you can do for yourself. Stay positive and be in the moment I just joined this site, this seems like an amazing support system with great people. Glad I found this as I begin my journey...
