negative nellies are running wild in these here parts.
let her say whatever but YOU keep doing what works for you.
you are not her and what works for her does not and should NOT work for you.
i think if you continue to do well, maybe she will too.
sounds as if you gave her a (little encouragement) by having your band.
so just be you, be nice, kind, helpful, thoughtful and realize you
are doing this for you the right way. and wish her the best and if i know you like i think i do, you will be there for guidance when she (fails).
    peace

Kime, I can't stress enough on this site how much everyone is different and we all have to follow to the beat of our own drum. No two are going to lose the same, no two will eat the same, no two will burn/lose the same. Its science, our bodies are not built the same and what works for one, does not neccessarily work for the other.
Keep doing what you are doing that works for you, because you are doing fabulous!
Ignorance is bliss so they say.......

You need to remember the band isn't supposed to physically stop you from eating anything, so being able to eat at as much as you could before isn't a sign the band isn't working. It's up to you to control your portions, not the band. Here's a great link to explain it: http://drsimpson.net/fills/Lap-band-eating/lap-band-not-restriction/lap-band-and-restriction.html
As far as what you're eating, I would suggest seeing a nutritionist to establish an eating plan and calorie budget that works for you. As stated in the post above this one, eating too little is actually a really common mistake. A nutritionist can help you figure out if you're eating too much or possibly not enough.

Weight lose does stall with the band even when you are doing things right. Couple of questions, you say you are eating a calorie restricted diet but are you eating enough protein. If you read some of the research with lap band they have found that people who eat a low calorie high protein diet lose better. Now I am not talking about a low carb diet but a balance of carbs and protein with the protein intake being higher than the carbs. i know it may be silly but sometimes you have to eat more to lose, if you eat a too restrictive calorie diet your body can think you are trying to starve it and can go into hibernation mode and hold onto every little fat cell we have. You may want to keep a food diary for a week or so and figure out your BMR so you know how much your body needs everyday. I was really surprised when I calculated mine, I myself stalled for over 7 months. Did not drop not one pound, I was eating to little, i had to increase my calorie intake up to 1250 and my protein up from 60-70 fms per day to 90-110gms perday. Once i did this combined with cardio in the form of walking on the road or treadmill 5 days a week with 2-3 days of weight training I started to lose again. It took me several months to figure out that I was not losing because my intake was not enough deficit of what my body needed to lose a pound of fat. I hope this all makes since, a good nutritionist or trainer could help you figure this out so you don;t feel so frustrated with the process. Good luck and hang in there, It can and does work just slower for some than others.

The band is not for everyone, there are a lot of rules that have to be followed and embraced in order to be successful. First thing I would suggest is that you make an appointment with your surgeon and discuss your options. Maybe meeting with a nutritionist and a physcologist would help you to get back on track and restart the process. But first and foremost you must make a committment to your self to be accountable to the process. This is hard, none of us has an easy time with food or none of us would have gotten to this site and this surgery. To me obesity and addicts are very simiar, we just do legal drugs, FOOD! Giving up what has been our turn to, or comfort zone is hard, it is hard to hold yourself accountable. Even if you do decide to have the Gastric bypass you still need to get your head in the right place because making sure you really understand your self, your triggers is key to long term success with WLS. If I can help support in any way please let me know and I wish you luck with your choice.

You are doing yourself a big disservice by not talking about everything with your surgeon. it's his job to help you lose weight and he can't do that if you're not honest with him.

Also, note that in a standard size serving of Bailey's (not including if you add milk to it) there is about 1/4 of the calories most of us are told to have in a day. If you are having 2 (assuming they aren't larger than this size) that is more than half the calories we should have in a day. That could be a big culprit drinking so many calories.

I have noticed from others that sometimes after being banded for a while, it is easy to forget or stray from the original guidelines or some banders didn't get adequate information from their centre initially.
For starters, I would log what you are eating (ideally through myfitnesspal or something like that that will track calories too). You should not exceed (per my doctor) about 1200 calories per day and should have about 60+ grams of protein. Try not to exceed 1 cup of food per meal and have a planned healthy snack in between meals (piece of fruit) or something.
If you are not able to get even yogurt down, perhaps your band is a little too tight which may be causing you to eat some unhealthier items (sliders) that will go down easily and that may be part of the problem.
It sounds like you could really benefit from a visit (or 2) with a nutritionist to get back on track. You shouldn't feel so defeated and frustrated with your food choices. I am able to eat most anything as long as I eat slowly and eat small bites. I would urge you to see out one (my bariatric clinic has ones on staff) and they have a lot of great ideas and advice. I truly don't feel deprived and only did when I was too tight and struggled getting solid food down.
I also have found healthier ways to still enjoy many foods I loved before but now in a healthier way. There is a website called Emily bites (I believe) and there are many recipes that you make in cupcake pans so they are portioned out into appropriate sized meals. They are healthy versions (ie. lasagna) of everyday foods. I really enjoy them.
    Good luck to you!

This is what I posted on a thread about this today.
No one cares if someone can't spell well or makes a lot of errors.
However, when I read a post that honestly looks like it was written in secret code by a drunk 3rd grader and makes zero sense because it's written *that* badly, I totally ignore it. If I need a secret decoder ring just to make sense of it, I won't deal with it.
