  1. The number of people walking around with their bands too tight baffles me. Are people just (foolishly) ignoring their doctors or are there really that many bad bariatric surgeons out there? Jeez!

  2. Back to spend the day with my Grandma. If anyone PM's me please be patient and I will respond it just may take awhile. Thanks :)

  3. Spent the last two days with my grandma who is in the dying process. They say she has maybe a week left at most. This is a real test of my strength because my desire to binge eat is really high right- but I haven't and I won't. Man it's not easy though.

  4. It's silly but I still smile every time I realize I'm sitting with my legs crossed.

  5. 1 pound from the 200 pound loss mark. Sooo close it's making me nuts! LOL

  6. Tonight I am chaperoning a band trip that involves a long ride on a bus and sitting in an auditorium. It's so nice to no longer have to worry if I'll fit in the seats!!

  7. Saw the orthopedic surgeon, he says I likely tore the cartilage in my left knee. I have to get an MRI to be sure. He did say after looking at my x-rays that I have arthritis "far too severe for someone my age". I suspect it's from being way too fat for too long, but he said the weight loss and all the walking I do will help a lot. So, we'll see what happens!

  8. It doesn't matter if you've lost 20 pounds or 200 pounds, any weight loss is a success.

  9. I've decided to cut my calories to help make up for my current inactivity. I'm determined to keep losing despite the fact I can't walk right now.

  10. Made an appointment with the orthopedic specialist to get my knee checked out. This being unable to walk sucks and is seriously bumming me out.

  11. Watching Dr. Oz and it was suggested to sleep naked because your body will burn more calories trying to keep warm. Yeah baby! LOL!

  12. Is the glass half empty or half full? Attitude and outlook play a huge part in your success!

  13. Took a long walk outside in the sunshine. It was cold but felt good. I really needed that.

  14. I officially weigh less than when I got pregnant with my daughter almost 19 years ago. I also weigh less than when I graduated high school. I love my band!!

  15. I was walking around the house in a robe and my daughter excitedly exclaimed "Look mom! You don't have cankles anymore!" LOL! Great NSV!

  16. Don’t argue with idiots because they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

  17. I'm watching "600 Pound Mom" and how this woman is trying to lose 100 pounds to have Gastric Bypass. It's just heartbreaking to watch her struggles.

  18. Just got back from my monthly doc appointment. Down 14.5 pounds this month! Yay!

  19. I simply can't eat after 7pm and lose weight. I guess my metabolism is just weird like that. So, every night I around 7ish I take a long bath and brush my teeth. For whatever reason, this routine has trained my brain into thinking "oh bath and clean teeth time, we're done eating for the night". So odd but it works.

  20. Major milestone hit: If I were to apply for WLS surgery today, I'd be denied because my BMI is (finally!) under 40 and I have no co-morbidities (all gone with weight loss)!

  21. I need a 2 week long nap.

  22. Punctuation is important when trying to communicate via the written word. Please, don't write 10 line posts without a single capital letter or any punctuation whatsoever. It's too hard to read and people like me just won't bother even trying.

  23. Turns out I don't have a stomach bug but rather the stupid MS is acting up. Totally sucks.

  24. I've felt nauseous all day. I think I caught a stomach virus from watching over my grandma who's been sick with it. I'm glad I still left over nausea meds on hand.

  25. In past years, I've worked at the National MS Society's MS Walk. Usually I would work the check-in table or some other sit down job. This year, I've decided I'm not working at it, I'm walking it! :)
