Yeah, what Rootman said. Just don't accidently swallow it. I haven't accidently swallowed gum in 30 years.

We experience the dreaded stall. If you are doing what you are supposed to be doing, Protein and Water, then you are losing inches right now, not necessarily lbs. My longest stall was 10 days, but it kicked right back in after. I actually received more compliments during my stalls than any other time. Don't be discouraged. I guarantee you are losing inches. The scale will show it soon.

No, they won't take the approval back. The insurance company won't even know your weight at the time of your surgery. Just be sure to follow your Dr's pre-op diet and you will be just fine.
Congrats and good luck!!

Tell me to shut up if I am being too nosey. (It is usually the case.) I am wondering why the resleeve? Is there a medical issue? I checked your profile and it shows that you are currently at 145. Do you have a leak or something? I am just curious.

I was feeling pretty much normal after about 10 days. I think I was still on liquids and was pretty tired, but painwise, I was back to normal. I was tired up until I was able to start eating again. Not sure when you are able to start eating again but I think mine about 2 weeks out. At the time, it seemed like forever, but really, it's just a blip on the map. Your body just went through a lot so that is probably why you are having headaches. I am sure this will pass, but keep taking your pain meds. That should help.
Congrats on your surgery! You are going to see some great changes! I am happy and excited for you!

I enjoy almost all of my Vitamins. Here is what I take:
- 2 Daily gummies (from CVS)
- 2 Vitafusion Calcium (sugar coated Gummy vitamins) Yummy!
- 1 Oderless Fish Oil (1200 mg) - This is not chewable and it is about as the big as the fish it comes from. This is the only one I don't like.
- 1 Vitamin D Chewable Gel (from Metagenics-Bariatric Advantage) (10,000 IU)
- 1 sublingual B-12 (from Natures Bounty) (2500 mcg)
Most of these you can find at your local pharmacy or drug store. I couldn't find the high dosage of Vitamin D and B-12 at the store so I bought them on eBay.
Hope this helps!!

Congrats on your decision, Ruperto! It was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I was sleeved on 12/31/2011, and as of today, I have lost 80 lbs (some it was during my preop diet). I feel great! You will be too in no time at all! Again, congrats!!

You'll do great, Caradina! Congrats!!

This is absolutely one of my pet peeves. Another is when people use 'your' instead of 'you're'. And don't even get me started on text-speak when typing in a forum. Argh!
Your right about that one, Caitlyn!

First off, congrats on your sleeve!! And it looks like you are doing great!
I have a little fridge at my desk. I buy the EAS low carb Protein shakes and store them in my fridge. When I get to work, I start drinking one for my morning Breakfast. They are yummy! I am able to go home for lunch, but if I couldn't, I would probably bring a chicken breast or a lean cuisine or something like that. At 3 weeks, not sure what you can eat yet, but be sure to follow your plan. I also always have a bottle of Water with me in my fridge. I drink about 40-50 oz a day which isn't too hard to do. I also have the lowfat Weight Watchers cheese sticks that I eat sometimes as an afternoon snack. The problem with those is that when I eat one, it makes me hungry for another for some reason, so I usually try to avoid them. Then it is back to home where I have my dinner.
You will do great. It really isn't that difficult. I actually find that working takes my mind off eating anyways so it's all good.
Hope this helps and good luck!! Again, congrats you awesome sleever you!

So sorry to hear that. It makes me feel sad to know that you don't have your husbands support. I was wondering if you work out at all? If so, maybe he would like to work out with you and it becomes a joint effort in losing weight together. This is what my wife and I did. I had my sleeve back in December, but I wanted my wife to be really involved so we could Celebrate together. I bought her a Bodybugg and we both started working out together. Of course, she wanted to do it...I'm not making her do it. But it is really fun sharing our success stories together. As others have mentioned, I'm sure your husband is feeling a bit insecure. We all handle our insecurities a bit different. Maybe suggest a few of the things I have mentioned, or try to get him to come up with some ideas so it sounds like it is coming from him and you are supporting him. Us guys are prideful sometimes and suggestions coming from our wive's aren't always taken well. Let us know how it goes!
And if you don't hear it from him, hear it from me...GREAT JOB, LISA!! I'm proud of you!!

I was on vacation last week and away from the scale. Will weigh in again next Saturday. Hope all is good! Congrats everyone on your success stories!!

Awesome job, everyone! I too had a good week! I lost 4 lbs and down to 258.5!! Wooohooo!!!
I won't be on the board until next week as we leave today for vacation. (I'm afraid to weigh next week...ugh.) Hope I make good decisions this week...at least not too bad decisions.
Have a great week, everyone!!

Memory Loss?

What? Really? I've never even heard anything about memory loss.
