  1. I think it was a good 2 weeks before it subsuded for me. My hunger cycle is weird. I tend to be hungry at work during the day and less in the evening. I am 6 weeks out and 30 lbs down. I use to be so hungry at night so I am glad that habit has changed. I am still not ready for real food that takes more work to digest like steak. It makes my stomach hurt and I feel like vomiting. I am sticking to Soup mac n cheese, Protein Shakes and Luna Bars, and sugar free pudding. I have not taken my diabetes insulin or oral meds since my surgery!!! And my blood sugars are being pretty stable. I could be off them for good!

  2. I'm 10 days post op and having a lot of head hunger. I'm rarely physically hungry even eating tiny bits. By eating foods before your stomach is ready could actually stretch your stomach and negate the surgery. You may not have symptoms like diarrhea or nausea yet if you are having a hard time adhering to the rules now just think about when you can eat real food. You want to start new behaviors and remember why you did this.

  3. Ocean,

I am going to go down a short list to see if you've considered any of these solutions that cause nausea:

    1. Could be an inner ear issue with equalibrium- a friend of mine had this problem

    2. Could be blood pressure related- usually if low BP

    3. possible vision changes?

    4. Dehydrated

    5. Side affect from meds- may want to try suppository for nausea

In the meantime hang in there. You did have a low BMI mine is 36 and I am 7 days post op. I go for my first post op visit tomorrow. Cant wait to see how much i lost. I am lucky and have had no real sick feeling. I have a lot of gurgling drives me nuts. Good luck and hope you feel better.
