  1. Hey December Sleevers!! I'm Riss.. I had my sleeve done on Dec.28 in VA Beach. I think the hardest part for me is know what and when to eat. I have had a few tummy aches b/c I hate too much. However while I'm eating, I feel fine. I am having a problem dream shopping. Lol. I have my entire size 8 (goal) wardrobe picked out. I am also struggling with being a slave to the scale. I step on it every time I walk pass the bathroom.
  2. Thanks!! I was on liquids for a week post op. I'm on mushy for the next 3-4 weeks. I also tried Greek yogurt. GROOOOSSSS!! My sleeve didn't get a chance to turn it away. I hated it. I have been doing w/ with chopped crab and lo fat mayo and oatmeal. I may try chicken tonight. Right now- I'm trying to figure out my "full" indicator. I keep overeating.
  3. Thanks for the suggestions!!! I got some greek yogurt today. Hopefully my sleeve (which needs a name) will like it. I need to do a better job with my Proteins. Diva you look great!!!
  4. Hello all! I was soo happy to see this thread. I have found several of the conversation very helpful. I was sleeved Dec. 28,2011. I have lost 24lbs since my pre-op liquid diet. I would love to continue to connect with other AA sleevers.
  5. I want to wear a pencil skirt w/ a thin belt that doesnt disappear in my muffins.
  6. I don't like eggs. Just the site of scrambled eggs makes my skin crawl. I can maybe sometimes eat a little boiled egg.
  7. Hey y'all. I was released to get soft mushy foods yesterday. I was soo excited. You would have thought my little can of tuna and lo fat mayo was a Iron Chef meal. I ate 4/5 fork full w/ a baby fork. At first I was okay- but then I had the worlds worst reaction. No thanks!! I'll drink broth for life! J/k What was your first soft/mushy food? Did you have a similar experience?
  8. Thanks for the post. I take synthoid (112mg) and I was really worried about not losing as well!
  9. Thanks for the words of encouragement. I keep having to remind myself that I didn't become a fat girl overnight--- so I'm not gonna lose it in one night either.
  10. I love Isopure. It comes in a few different flavors. I get mine at my gym or the vitamin shoppe.
  11. My paperwork took about 4 business days!
  12. Congratulations on this major milestone!
  13. Today makes 1 week since my 12/28 surgery. Post op I weighed in at 255. The day of surgery I was at 240 and today I am at 231. I have never lost 24 lbs in two weeks and of that I am really grateful. I know that it will take a while for me to see it in the mirror but I thought with almost 25lbs off- I would see a difference in my pants, shirts, bra... At this point, I would be happy to see a difference in the way my socks fit. But even my clothes seem to fit the same.
  14. everyone. Hopefully, I will be approved for the gastric sleeve. I have 2 more months with my PCP for my mandatory diet. I have a BMI of 45 and I really hope Aetna approves my surgery by the end of the year. I have two questions. Who did you share that you were going to have WLS with? Did you share with your co-workers? I am thinking that I may keep it between my close friends and family. Also, I am really nervous about the psyche evaluation. What are they looking for? I go in two weeks for my evaluation. e. Hopefully, I will be approved for the gastric sleeve. I have 2 more months with my PCP for my mandatory diet.
