  1. I did sit ups yesterday and today my port area is very sore!! Did any of your drs give special advice about air ups?
  2. ?? Maybe what you saw was the iodine they clean your skin with before they put the needle in???
  3. I'm 6 mos out and have only lost. 30 lbs so it sounds like your doing great! I'm at 6cc and not sure if I need another fill or not. I do wish it would come off faster but at least it's coming off!!
  4. I was wondering about that!!! When I saw it in the dr office- it seemed pretty flat.
  5. I was banded jan 4th and have only lost 26 lbs. I was hoping for 10 lbs a month and I'm disappointed but at least we are moving in the right direction!! We just need to keep motivated and positive!!!
  6. I'm 5 months post op- I've only lost 26 lbs and that includes 7 lbs prior to surgery.....I have had 4 fills and am at 6.4 cc in an 11 cc band. I'm eating 1000 to 1100 calories a day (per fitnesspal.com) and I've been exercising. In fact-- I ran a 5K two weeks ago. (my first one ever) - trained for 10 weeks running/walking 3-4 times a week,. ....is this typical??? I just expected more
  7. My surgery was Jan4th and had my first fiill early Feb, 2.9 cc and I feel no restriction. I have lost 10 lbs since surgery but zero since my first fill.... I go back march 9 and I hope I start feeling something....I pretty much can eat what I want. I would like to feel full
  8. I had my surgery the exact same day and have been keeping track of my food intake on fitness pal.com. That has really helped. I haven't lost much weight either but I have lost some. Even on protein shakes and bars you can be taking in too many calories. My calorie intake varies from 800-1100 per day. Fitness pal also calculates nutrients so that is helpful too....good luck and hope you don't get discouraged.
  9. Today is my first fill appt and I woke up with a low grade fever. Will my Dr still fill my band? I'm pretty sure I have a sinus infection because my sinuses and throat hurt. Should I just keep my appt and ask dr for antibiotics? Take Tylenol and go ahead with the fill? Advice?
  10. 5 days post surgery-- I fainted when I got out of the shower this morning. I felt dizzy and sat down so luckily-- I didn't fall too far but I did hit my head. Kinda freaked my husband out.......I think my blood sugar dropped and this was the result. I think maybe I'm not getting enough calories because I feel full and it takes so long to eat. How many calories should I be getting at this point? I'm drinking protein shakes and eating soup but it takes me all day to eat one protein shake and I serving of soup. Should I eat even if I feel full just to make sure I'm getting the calories? Please advise, Jennifer
  11. I was banded 3 days ago and I'm still burping and feeling like you described also... I am hoping it works itself out :/
  12. I'm two days post op. Tired of broth-- what kind of soups do ya'll recommend?
  13. I'm having surgery tomorrow and I'm nervous about the pain when I come home. Realistically-- how long until I can do normal things. Fix dinner for the kids, do laundry, etc.. I've had three kids but have really never had surgery before. Please advise, Jenn
  14. I am having lapband surgery Wednesday. I'm nervous and excited and tired of these protein shakes. I'm actually looking forward to the day prior to surgery so I can heat up my broth. Ha
