  1. Take a look at what you Are eating? Healthy small portions? Also have you checked with dr if you need a fill?
  2. Weight has been a battle for me my whole life. 50 pounds is awesome. Just hop back on track. The problem is I love to eat and I know food will always be a struggle even with the band. It's a tool, get back to using it.
  3. The rash is very itchy and bumpy. Called the dr. I have little bumps near the incisions then a larger rash on my lower stomach. Dr is seeing me later
  4. Had my band put in 1 week ago. I have developed a rash on my stomach. Anyone else ever experience this?

  6. This is happening to me as we speak. I had my surgery 6 days ago. It is just so annoying. Sometimes laying days helps me. I put an icy hot patch too that worked saturday
  7. That is horrible. When I went to my support groups meetings I didn't find them helpful because no one at the meetings had gotten the band. They all had the other surgeries. When I met with my dr he told me to do what I wanted for myself. He did tell me that the band would be work and I would have to stick to a plan and that there was more success in bypass. I chose the band and had it done may 2nd. I met someone along my journey that also had the band done and she had a BMi over 50. Do what's best for you!
  8. Was banded on may 2. I still have gas pain and Also pain in my left shoulder, arm and back. I haven't been able to consume much because when I do I get a very uncomfortable feeling. I do occasionally get a hungry feeling. I can't wait to feel better. The different feelings confuse me. I've needed something my whole life to help me lose weight. I truly hope this is it for me'
  9. I was banded on Tuesday. Walk around a lot to release the gas! Follow what your dr says to eat
  10. I agree tomorrow is a new day. I have struggled with my weight my whole life. Fattening foods will always call my name. Just think if it was before the band you would have eaten more than 2 strips and 4 fries.
  11. I was banded on may 1st. A day after the band I started having diahrea. I only ate jello and had a small amount of water and it was still happening as of today. I called my dr and he said that was not good. He advised me to eat banana, yogurt, and drink mint tea.
  12. Wow that's awesome. I had my band done on Tuesday! I hope I am as successful
  13. Patty I am right behind you. I have 120-125 to lose. It was uplifting to read how many people lost so much!
  14. I totally agree about not having to cut. I like that too and having a one year old I really can't be off my feet for long. I like that the band is a pretty quick thing. I also feel like others that it is good to be monitored by a dr. Thanks everyone so much for your insight
  15. I can't thank everyone enough for their replies. I have about 120 pounds to lose and I hope the band can do that for me.
  16. What helped you make your decision??? I am torn between both procedures!!
