I was given Roxicet 5ml every 6 hrs and told to fill it now and have it when I get home. its a liquid.

I like Danon Greek and Mueller Greek, you should not have it with fruit in it I think. Get vanilla or plain fat free. The more expensive mueller isn't mixed with its fruit content and can be eaton seperatley as plain yogurt out of the side of the carton its stored in, tastes real good. I think Yoplait is the best with sugar and calories, 100 cal greek yogurt, just tastes like regular yoplait, I don't like it so much but it should be passable for sure. They do have X2 Protein Greek yogurt too you know ? btw, the Yoplait is probably the only one you'd want of the 3.

Thats cool ahh2bm3, I am pre op until Tuesday, they told me buy my own pepcid complete and use it twice a day, well this post has me thinking and I'll be sure to get a script too after a while. I have some ideas for hunger post op but not yet there to say what I am able to use, I think an herbal liquid or powder surpressant may be ok as long as its not a strong pill. Lots a luck.

Hey proctor67, I am also on the 11th Tuesday morning. I am bringing a large bathrobe and sweats to hospital so I don't have to go through that ridiculous attempt to be fit into thin materials large size hospital stuff which never does fit. I actually purchased canned puree, also I have liquid tylenol, didn't see those on your list there. I am a patient at Yale GI group in New Haven,CT.

Hang in there man, I guess all that counts is you keep losing the weight. You must be very happy to had lost 130 pds already. Think of the newer you coming up next couple years once you've lost even most of it.

Cool, I have 3 days until surgery the 11th, can't wait to be on the flip side of that and all. If you were a few months out I'd ask why you don't just take a pill, I guess that aleave would be good then.

I think it depends how far out you are ? I purchased liquid tylenol for use post op. Crushing time release tablets may make it work faster than a regular old aspirin pill or something, maybe a half is good, or 2 regular tylenols instead crushed. could just also put it in dilliuted juice and get it in your system quicker than in a shake or what have you.

Its a good point that there be readiness from a pre op diet for post op needs, I thought of if I did have such a pre op diet that would be so, the only thing though I need worry is that I do not or did not slip into a gray area where because I can do what I wanted I just don't diet at all. It was recommended that I try and lose but not gain during pre op weeks. My conclusion was to thinking that, I will have weeks of it after just the same, and the life style won't be harder to obtain eiher way in the end.

My surgeon stated he would use a pre op liquid diet only if the patient was so large that the surgery tools would not work correctly, he went on to say after numerous surgeries he finds no real need otherwise.

I did not have to do one, I thought that was good but found that the only one thing about this looming over me was the option to over eat and I was bothered allot by the idea that I will not have the same oportunities post op. Still have a few days to go, down more pounds than up.

Found you can buy it premade in a can, also I just could not do it well so I bought some soft foods canned again and just blenderized them. lol, I live alone dear. Read about that gassieness allot, I bought some gas-x, I wondered do I have enough but figured as long as I have them in the hospital I am OK.
