  1. I was told by my dr thats its best to hold off for 2 years after being banded. Although my husband and I also want to try for a another baby sometime in 2012 as well. (i was just banded yesterday). I believe the band will have to be removed. I'm not sure if insurance will pay for this and to have it put back in again.
  2. I was told you are suppose to take a multi-vitamin and a citrate calcium.

    Arm/chest Pain

I got my lapband yesterday as well. I'm still in the hospital and the gas has been bothering me too. Mostly in my chest tho, not yet in my arms or shoulders although i've read that is bound to happen. I would recommend just walking in your room or down the hallway as well.
  4. My surgery is tmr in arlington, va and I've come to that scary realization as well. I still plan to cook as my husband does not, or rather, I don't want him too, lol. I love to go out to different restaurants, try different recipes at home, etc. so realizing that life will seriously change scares me a bit but i'm ready for the challenge.
  5. Tmr, the 29th is my lapband surgery but I remember my nutritionist saying mashed potatoes with gravy is ok in the pureed stage as well.
  6. Tmr's my lapband surgery. Excited & Anxious!

  7. I had no real issues other than having a BMI of 42 and was approved instantly based on my BMI alone. Min BMI is 40 for insurance approval so I literally could not loose any weight prior to my pre-op appt. My initial weigh in was 255 so you should be fine.
