That's awesome!!! My surgery is set for Friday August 3rd. I'm on day 4 of my 14 day pre-op diet but it's not an all liquid diet. I've already lost 5 pounds since being on it. You will do great for surgery are you excited?

Best wishes for tomorrow and I hope you have a speedy recovery

My mom is also on Zoloft and she says that it helps her but when I was 16 they tried me on it (I'm now 25) and I started cutting myself so I stopped the medication. I know they say it can effect teens big time so maybe I'll try it again to see if it helps. I've tried Luvox and that helped a little bit. As a teen they kept switching me but my surgeons office said to get on some type of medication now. Thanks everyone I'm going to write down the two medications and see which my doctor would recommend

You are all in my thoughts and prayers ! 12 days ago I was in your shoes !! I take medication for anxiety/panic and it works great' date=' but the week before my surgery I was a mess !!! You will be fine, keep telling yourself what this is going to mean for you and your loved ones!! Every time you feel that panic, take a deep breath and say, "I am fantastic and soon I will be even fantasticker!". If nothing else, it will make you smile and a smile causes relaxing !!!! Good luck to all of you !!!![/quote']What do u take for your anxiety? I see my doctor tomorrow for my pre-op physical and I'm going to ask for something. I take Ativan only when I have a massive panic attack but they wont keep prescribing it to me

Yeah there are a lot of people that suffer panic attacks and anxiety...mine's gotten worse lately...I just can't wait until my surgery is over lol

YAY! I recieved my approval letter in the mail yesterday from my insurance! All left to do now is schedule the suegery. Why am I nervous now? Anyone else felt that way?I was nervous scheduling my appointment. It's like you've been anxious during the whole process then when u get ur approval it's a sigh of relief then u think oh wow now all that's left is surgery lol it's normal

My BMI at the beginning of my 6 months supervised appointments was 48.9 then after it was 46.8 and on the day I was approved by my insurance for surgery it was 43.5 and as of today (day 3 of my 14 day pre-op diet) its 41.7...my nutritionist told me to lose as much as possible but my BMI was high which 2 months before I started my 6 months my BMI was 51.8

Welcome to the group

I had to do it and at first I was thinking that it was going to take FOREVER but 6 months actually went by quite fast most people have to do it
-
I'd also like to know. I suffer anxiety and panic attacks and my surgery is still 1 week and 5 days away but I'm on edge
-
They look to see if u can lose. I only lost 10 pounds during my 6 months supervised. That is a concern tho especially since ur BMI is only 40-41 u could end up losing too much to not be qualified for surgery

Very beautiful

$250 and that was basically to pay for access to remedyehr.com which is what Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center uses to keep in contact with all patients

I wouldn't mind being a 10/12 just as long as I'm healthy and able to have more children
