    Hitting The Beach

How about those tuna with crackers packages, or oysters in a can. Smoked almonds are good or trail mix.

    "goal Clothing"

Yep, when I go buy new slacks I buy the next size smaller. Last night I bought several size 14 pair of pants for work and picked up a size 12. I know in a month I will fit them.
  3. First I want to state this is my success and mayn't necessarily work for you.... !st important factor as we all know is Protein and plenty of it, if you have difficult eating your allotted amount as I do try various Protein drinks. I personally vomit all protein drinks except the unjury chicken flavor Protein powder. 2nd important factor is plenty of Water. It is important to stay hydrated throughout the day. That being said here is the formula I use every day. My only regret is not beginning sooner, like right after my surgery. Oh, and just a quick reminder, we average a loss of one hundred strands of hair a day, just an important fact to make you feel slightly better. Every morning and evening I take one Biotin 7500mg. I condition my hair with Nioxin every nite and shampoo twice a week with Nioxin. Sally Beauty's store sells Nioxin in a off brand called Nutri-ox, it works just as well and saves some money. Afterwards I use Doo Gro (found at Sally's Beauty), which is an ethnicity lotion that is used as an leave-in product (some of the ingredients are oat protein, shea butter, beeswax, etc.), combined with Argan oil treatment, use both sparingly. This combination has worked for me and may help one of you. Of course we all of varying opinions if any of these products really do work, however I can say honestly it has for me. Good Luck

    When Can I Shave Again?

I shaved mine three days after the surgery.
  7. size 14 pants fit, wow, I love this feeling of success

  8. 60 pds is a great weight loss, how about simply starting from the basics again? I think your sugar intake is hindering your weight loss, try more variety of protein as the other ladies have suggested and counting your calories. My thoughts are you have came this far and only gained five pounds back. You are doing great, keep up the good work.

    Breakfast Troubles

Pre-op breakfast.... how about a protein shake with a yogurt, or an egg with cheese possibly with bacon or sausage, your goal is to eat plenty of protein throughout the day and get your daily intake of three servings of dairy products. I am post op but now is a good time to learn these healthy helpful guidelines which will help you in your journey after the surgery... Good luck

A Size 8? Who Are You Kidding?

Awesome job... It is hard to believe how far we each have came
  11. Since you have lost weight do you feel you look younger or older? Have you noticed more wrinkles appearing on your face? Several people say I have aged since my weight loss surgery. Maybe it is the fullness of our face that makes us look like we have a baby face. I even had a gentleman say my head appeared smaller. Then there is the question how you lost a shoe size or bra size? After 80 pds I still wear the same shoe size and wear the same bra size. These are questions I am pondering and would like your input.

    Anyone Have Cigna?

I have Cigna, my BMI was 52. I had no other health problems. It took me a long while, I mean a long while, they usually wait the thirty days to give you a reply, even got denied once. I had to jump through many hoops such as the six month weight loss, nutrition class, psych testing, counseling, etc. Good luck.....

    Liking The Gym?!?!?!

I work out to Leslie Sansone and George Foreman DVD's. I really have enjoyed having the capability to get up an exercise. Do I love it? Not necessarily, however my body crys out for it. No longer do I feel like sitting for long periods of time. I like moving and feel terrifc that I can easily do so now. My only grief that I have is wishing this excess skin would just dissolve.
  16. Went shopping yesterday, I have gone from a size 3X shirt in December to a size large. Whew

  17. NSV, i can fit in a regular stall without diffucult, everyone knows what I am talking about, you have to squeeze yourself in and have difficult turning around. Oh I can fit comfortable in the bathtub without the water overflowing and I no longer feel smashed. little things that make a difference and a totally wonder.

    Anyone Regret Being Sleeved?

Yep, I regretted it at the beginning when I was vomiting, rehosptialized, etc. However, 4 months post op, hell no I dont regret anything and would do it again. It is an adjustment and I still struggle with protein, hair loss, etc. but I would do it again. The best thing I did prior to surgery was start taking depression medication and had it increased after the surgery. It has helped immensely and I continue to take it to be successful in my weight loss. My advice educate yourself....
  20. A size 16 pants fits, I fit in them. The last time I wear a size 16 was oh 199something. Holy crap I look good, I feel good. I havent got this sleeve adjustment down yet and i still make bad choices occassionally, however I am doing it and yes I am bragging. who would thought I could do. it

  21. So, I was bragging for a time that I had lost 70 pds in a four month period. However, I haven't lost any weight for several weeks. It is making me depressed because I am four months post op and I want to lose another sixty pounds. Here are some factors that might be contributing to my weight loss plateau. Everyday I have to drink six glasses of milk for the fluid and protein. Water literally makes me gag and vomit. Also, according to my doctor's plan I should be eating five ozs. I am only at four ozs and that is tough still. Any suggestions?

    I'm Craving Potato! :-(

I eat mash potatoes, they where allowed in my mushy stage. Make your own and use light versions of the ingredients.
  23. I have had the H-Pylori test, and it is not done until two weeks prior to your surgery. Mine came back positive and post-poned my surgery. They are not allowed to do it any sooner. It is part of your blood work. If the first cocktail doesnt clear it up then you have to take another dose. It is frustrating but it is for important for your health and success of your surgery. Good luck
