So I am 5days post op today and I can only sleep on my right side (the side of the incision) yet last night that didn't even work it hurts so much now im on the recliner not knowing what to do. The pain isnt bearable at all. Help.Try taking a pillow or two and placing it under your tummy as you lay on your side this way your tummy is directly on the pillow instead of the bed...for me gravity was my worst enemy...the pressure from my weighted tummy pulling down was rough on my incisions...feel better...

I'm almost 4 weeks out and just realized I gained 5lbs and am extremely puzzled...surgery weight was 266 lbs...week 2 post op I was 247 lbs...week 3 I weighed 242 lbs and now that I'm entering week 4 I'm back at 247 lbs...I have to admit I'm not getting in Proteins as I should...to stall is one thing but gaining weight is counterproductive...smh...my 4 week post op visit is in the a.m so I will see what happens

I'm almost a month out and the first week was when my bowel movements started...I would be on the toilet and my stomach would rumble so bad it sound like someone cranked up a generator...sighs...my stools were liquid I guess from my Powerade diet I placed myself on...to add insult to injury I was in so much pain I couldn't wipe my own butt...smh...I'm forever in my boyfriends debt as he was my butt wiper for a few days...lol...

Funny you post this I'm having the same issue...when I went for my two week post op visit I explained to the nurse about the dull pain and that's when she explained to me that the discomfort was do to my hernia repair...that was the first I even knew I had a hernia repair...it is perfectly normal according to my surgical team...

I went from going twice an hour prior to surgery now I'm two weeks out and lucky if I go three times a day...also right after surgery I couldn't tell when I had to pee I would just get this throbbing sensation in my chest area and that would be my que to get to a bathroom...I'm getting about 50oz of Fluid in a day so I'm waiting to see what happens a month out...

I was instructed to wait a whole year...even if you can tolerate drinking earlier the calories may slow down your weight loss...
