    Fluids!

I am having tremendous trouble getting fluids in. I was always the girl who never left the house without a cup of Coke Zero fixed and always had something to drink. Always. Now, I could go all day without drinking. I have to make myself drink because I know need the fluids. I get full and gross feeling after a few sips and that just deters me from drinking more. I don't like plain water, never have, and I'm completely over the crystal light/mio things. What now?! I am almost certain this is the number one thing keeping me from losing the way I should be. I am six weeks out and am at 33 pounds lost. But, I've only lost about a pound a week the last few weeks. I am getting so frustrated. I am slowly losing determination. Any advice would be much appreciated.
  2. I'm very curious as to what your post-op diet was. There are so many variations to it by different doctors. I think my doctor's office is super conservative. How long were you on clears? Full liquids? Pureed? Thanks!

    Fluids...

I am seriously having a hard time getting 64 oz of fluid in every day. I'm trying small sips, but anytime I take more than two sips within a couple of minutes, I feel nauseous and full. And I'm still having issues being about to eat enough to get all my protein in. I am 4 weeks out. It's got to get better, right?
  4. I know everyone is different, bit how long did you all have pain post op? I'm 16 days out and am just now noticing a tender area around my belly button. It's not excruciating pain at all, just enough to notice. I'm not sure if I'm just now noticing it because I'm off my pain meds. Any thoughts?
  5. I have hit a major stall in weight loss this week. I am 18 days post op and have lost a total 17 since surgery. Until this week. I haven't lost anything since day 14 and I am getting so frustrated. Please tell me this is normal. I am freaking out. What helps get through the stalls?

    Major Stall.... Ugh!

Thanks so much everyone! I expected to hit stalls every once in a while. I had a short one last week, I just really didn't expect a 5 day stall. I know I'm being hard on myself, like always. I am still having trouble getting all my fluids in and sometimes protein. I want things I can't have and I've got to overcome that.

    Think I Messed Up...

I am 15 days post op and have unofficially moved myself to stage 3. I was supposed to be on liquids until Jan 5th. I've tolerated everything fine (scrambled egg, hard boiled egg, tuna, tilapia, even canned veggies). Is it possible something could still go wrong if I'm tolerating the food okay? I'm getting nervous. Also, I have a tender area on my stomach that's just kind of appeared the last few days. And it seems to be a little rigid/hard. I'm not sure if this is normal post op healing or what. I'm freaking myself out. Thanks for any input!

    Greek Yogurt

I actually tried the Greek yogurt for the first time tonight and was pleasantly surprised. I took my dietitian's advice and added a shot or two of the MIO drink mix to mine. It was very doable. I want to try the ranch mix, though, now! Gotta hold off until I can have raw veggies again.
  9. My surgery is tomorrow (!) and I'm having trouble with the clear liquids. I only have to do it two days pre-op, but it's hard. I will be on clears for two weeks after and I'm really hoping it's not going to be this hard. Any tips/words of encouragement?
  10. Hey everyone! I am new to this site. I'm waiting on my surgery date, but am planning on having it mid-December. I've done everything on my checklist, just waiting on insurance to come back with approval (hopefully!). I feel confident that the sleeve is the best surgical option for me and I wish I could have it done tomorrow!
