    Monday Night 35 minutes on treadmill...15 minutes on machines did 50 crunches also..

    Okay Friday took that off..Saturday did my workout class..its always good for really working the muscle groups. Not really a cardio class. After class did another 15 minutes on the Eleptical. Sunday did 23 minutes on treadmill, 13 minutes on eleptical..machines for 15 minutes

    Yeah carbonation is tricky. At first my doc said no carbonation at all..then about 6 months after surgery the nutritionist said one a day is okay as long as u sip it slowly. Although I have to admit that sometimes I'm bad with this and end up having to PB a gas bubble up..cause yes its painful as hell if it gets stuck. I can still burp just sometimes. I got kind of bad with it fell into the same old habits..drank too many. Now I'm focused on just one a day and lots and lots of water. If you can give it up entirely..good for you..it is the best way

    August 07 Exercise!!!

    Thursday night - 20 minutes on eleptical, 15 minutes on the treadmill with short burts of running , worked on legs on the machines for 10 minutes..feel the burn! I'm getting pissy about the scale..sigh..weighing in today with weight watchers..we'll see

    You gotta really watch how late your eating. This is what stops the reflux for me. I know exactly what your talking about and its not fun at all. It's also dangerous. For me I try not to eat past 8 pm then no issues

    August 07 Exercise!!!

    Well only got in 25 minutes of treadmill but I ran like 3 short burts during that time. I wasn't feeling so hot...all of a sudden was feeling bloated which sucks while trying to exercise. So I cut it short. Also worked on my arms some and abs for 10 minutes on the machines. Wednesday is my day off..

    I signed up for a class! Starts in September! I'm soo excited! I made darn sure I could go at my own pace and that they accepted noobies. Let's hope this works out for me

    Struggling - How do you do it!?!?!

    Hi there, I was faced with the same dilema. I work full time. I'm a single mother of a 6 year old. So what finally worked for me is getting a membership at the YMCA which has free child care for 2 hours. I look at it as a break from my kid too! The real trick is..packing up your work clothes before you go to work and bringing them with you. I pick up my daughter and go straight there. There is no way it would work if I went home first. I know this. I even feel bad cause the dog is sitting at home with his legs crossed but he seems to be okay. So yeah if you really want to fit in exercise u just have to figure out what works for you and make it a routine. Good luck..it sure is worth it if you do! Di

    Yeah I'm gonna give it a shot. I just don't expect anything. Thats the key. Then I'm not disapointed if the same crap happens again. He has what I call the "commitaphobe" complex. But now he keeps on talking about how freeked he is that he's turning 29..*gasp oh noes*..lol. So I'm hoping he's ready to settle down a bit now.

    OMG, How Crazy Am I????

    Thats so funny that you guys brought up the collar bone. I just had that surprise yesterday! Yep..I have collarbones! I was just standing there gazing in there mirror. Poking the indents..LOLLL I do this thing where I find myself moving out of the way for people when I really don't have to anymore. They can get by just fine..LOL. I still think my ass is hanging out in the way...hehe I can't fricken weight to get out of the plus sizes though..Damn tummy is keeping me there. I dunno why my waist isn't shrinking as fast as the rest of me. I'm blaming it on childbirth.

    Don't Give Up !

    Yes don't give up!! I had to go through hell to get mine approved. But really if you are determined it's amazing what you can do with insurance companies. I had two denials even though I knew my insurance covered it. So lucky for me a good friend of mine also wanted the surgery and was in my HR department and started to get things going there. It turned out that Humana generally didn't cover the insurance, but my companies agreement with Humana says that they did. Soooo after going through hoops. Figuring out where the approval department was located. Getting really lucky and talking to someone who had a gastric bypass in the approval department I got approved! Took me 6 months. I was the first one approved. 6 others followed me after from my company..lol. There were sooo many hoops to go through. I was told I was the first one at Humana to get approved..LOL. I even had an HMO and there was no doctors in network that would do the surgery. Dr. Horgan was the only one nearby who would. So I got it approved out of network even. All in all..the surgery cost me 100 bucks Weeeeee Almost 4 years later couldn't be happier. Just stay focused and don't give up! Good luck Di

    Well I have an old flame sort of come back into my life. Known him for like 3 years. Never met him though and this time I believe thats going to happen. Just too damn curious not to find out. Hopefully this time he's grown up a bit. We'll see...but he's sooo a hot..heheh So much for waiting for my fitness goals till I date again..LOL..well at least this one knows exactly what I'm all about so I don't have to worry he's not gonna like me for me. Although he's said the "don't loose too much weight" line..hmm..anyone else gotten this one before? He says he likes his women with some meat on their bones..well I don't think I'll ever be a barbie doll..LOL.

    Yeah it sucks that there's always a huge risk with a relationship. But how you ever gonna know if u don't go for it? Wish you lots of good luck with it.     I have a family pass at the YMCA. Best thing ever! My kid loves it too Going tonight again for the same routine..but focusing on arms tonight. Its soo odd to actually feel muscles!

    Spinning class?

    I'm going to look into it the next session at the YMCA. I've always looked in there and it seems like alot of fun...and boy they do come out of there all sweaty so it must be working. Fun is the key to keeping on exercising so I'm gonna hope there's a class I can attend. I'll letcha all know how it goes :car:
  18. Hiya, Yes this is sort of my story. It's been a long journey. But I'm sooo happy with my band now. The thing is when I got banded it was soo new. So not alot of info out there. I went through months of not doing much..gaining a bit back...then finally going in for a fill. See I get woosy with fills so they aren't alot of fun for me. Anyways my point is..it doesn't matter how fast u do it. Just that u eventually get there. Actually I think the slower it goes the better off you are. It's been almost 4 years for me and im still trying to get to goal. The thing with the band is you gota think yearsss down the road. Even if you don't loose for awhile it's always there. When I was ready again to hit it I went in and got a fill. Don't worry about your metabolism. Just exercise and that will kick it into gear. It's not like your gonna ever ruin yourself for life. Just remember..to truely be successful with the band you WILL have to exercise at some point. Good luck and take care

    August 07 Exercise!!!

    Wow its the 20th already! Okay I've been doing pretty decent although I didn't exercise yesterday. Saturday I did go to a class. We used those resist-a-ball things. OMG..what a killer! I've been working out 4-5 days a week..I'm going tonight I plan on doing 40 minutes on the treadmill, 10 on the eliptical and 15 on the weight machines Ohhhh and guess what! I actually RAN on the treadmill!!! I was sooo scared..LOL.. but i saw the women doing it next to me and she inspired me. So I ran for about 2 minutes and then had to turn it back down. But at least I did it. I figure everyone i see around me thats running is skinny..they must be doing something right..LOL

    Wow thanks so much for the replies jachut! This is exactly what I was looking for. It makes alot of sense. I'm meeting with my trainer tonight for the first time. So I'm gonna see what he says too. Gratz on such a great success :confused:

    I had a hot possibility of a date from a dating site and I chickened out. Blah what is wrong with me. I'm just so nervous to meet someone I don't know and deep down I'm still worried I'm gonna dissapoint them with my looks. He was a cutie too..

    Thanks guys for all the imput. I've signed up with the "commit to be fit" program at the YMCA that I belong to and I'll be meeting with a trainer once a week. Just gonna listen to him and pray he knows what he's doing. LOL

    July 07 EXERCISE

    Just weighed in at weight watchers...another -2.4 pounds!...weee Time to move the ticker.. Anyways worked out 5 days this week. Also I joined a "commit to be fit" program at the YMCA. I'll be meeting once a week with a trainer. Also on Saturday I'm going to a weight loss group that is 30 minutes of exercise and 30 minutes of support. Figure the more tools I have the better

    Special K protien water?

    Yeah Special K water is nasty...I was dissapointed. Not worth the calorie intact for the 4g of protein. I'm gonna look into that other water..that seems cool!
