  1. I just did a naked happy dance. I Weighed in this morning at 238.2. 2.8 lbs lost since last week AND I made it to 80 lbs lost so far. Now, my mini goal is 225, that will be the approximate weight I was when I met my hubs and his best friend 18 years ago. Then I will be going for Onederland.

I also had to get a new bathing suit last night and for the first time I didn't cry out of misery. I am down 5 sizes. :-)

  2. Another 1.8 lbs lost, so I'm down to 241, even. I'd LOVE to have more than a 1-2 lb loss some weeks, but it seems this is what my body is more comfortable with. Although, I have to say, I didn't make it to the gym hardly at all this week. Crazy week at work, so at least I still lost, right?

  3. I lost another 2 lbs this week. I didn't think I was going to lose at all.

I'm down to 242.8. I had my 3 month check up with my surgeon yesterday. According to their scale, I had lost 40 lbs since surgery and he was very pleased with my progress. I was afraid that he was going to say I hadn't lost enough. I told him I haven't vomited at all, I don't have any acid issues hardly at all and if I feel one, I can take a Tums and it relieves it and goes away. I told him my bad day Water intake is no less than 64 oz, but I am for 80 - 90 oz a day. He told me I was his most exceptional patient of the day. YAY!

  4. Congrats on losing 43 lbs in 5 weeks. It took me 3 months to lose that. :)

I couldn't really tell until just recently. I could tell in how my clothes fit, but I couldn't SEE it unless I looked at pictures. I guarantee you others notice it before you really see it.

Keep at it, girl! You're doing great!

  5. I have my 3 month check up with my surgeon today. I'm nervous that he's going to say I haven't lost enough in this 3 months. I was hoping to have lost 50 lbs, but when you have a 4 week stall the whole 2nd month and then I think I'm in another one because I started harder workouts, what can you do? I'm at least moving forward, right?

  6. 21 lbs is great! I know its hard to not get discouraged when others are losing faster. Try to keep in mind that it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. This is my mantra.

I had my surgery January 27th. Weeks 5-9, I didn't lose anything but inches. Infact, one week I'd gain 2 lbs, then the next I'd lose that 2 lbs. It went like that for almost 5 weeks. Then I dropped 4 lbs.

Just try to keep on keeping on and you will get there. :)

  7. I was slow to start at first too - Its been 3 months and I've lost 50 lbs since surgery, 72 lbs overall. About the 6 week mark is when it kicked in for me. Yeah, I've lost the majority of that in the last 6 weeks. Hang in there - your body will figure it out. Just try to keep your mind from overruling your body.

Hey Sleeve buddy! You're doing great! 50 lbs in 3 months is awesome. I'm stuck at 40 lbs in that same time frame. I'm trying not to panic, but I feel like right now I'm maintaining, not losing. I am going to the gym though. I was trying to get to the 50 lb mark before I meet with my surgeon next Friday, but the probability of me losing 10.4 lbs in the next 10 days is pretty slim. LOL!

  8. My weight loss reflects my starting weight at the beginning of my 6 month medically supervised diet. I started that August 16, 2011. I had surgery Jan 27, 2012.

I lost 33 lbs in between those days. I've lost 37 lbs since surgery. I've earned EVERY ounce of this weight loss and it doesn't matter to me if it was pre op or post op. It has been my journey.

  9. I didn't log in last week but was at 251.4. This morning I was at 248.2.

I am officially under the weight I was when I got pregnant with my son. That was my 1st major milestone since surgery. My first milestone happened during my 6 month medically supervised diet which was to break 300.

    I am ECSTATIC this morning.

  10. I'm here. I was in a 4 week stall staying in a 2 lb. range and I was getting irritated beyond belief. Since that stall broke, I've lost almost 7 lbs in those 2 weeks. Yay!

I've been going to the gym anywhere from 3 -6 days a week and I'm so glad that i have. I have 3 more lbs to go and I'll have lost 70 lbs. 33 pre op and 37 post op. AND I'll be the weight I was when I got pregnant with my boy.

  11. Thanks everyone for responding. I've been pretty mellow about this all, but I was hoping to be down 40 lbs post op by now. I'm just nervous that when I see my surgeon on May 4th he's going to say "You haven't lost enough!" Then I'll be pissed off, because I've done what I've supposed to do. What all the paperwork says to do.

I've never vomited. I've only slimed once (and that was enough). I have overeaten a couple of times, but nothing major. I learned my lesson.

I guess I just have this overriding fear that I will have done this for nothing if it doesn't move soon.

  12. I was sleeved on Jan 27th and the first 4 weeks I lost 25 lbs. This last 4 weeks, I've lost 5 lbs, but I've been yo-yoing between the same 2 lbs between 256 and 258. I drink about 80 oz of Water a day, 80 g of Protein, on average about 800 calories a day. I go to the gym 4 days a week for about 30 min on the treadmill (this is on my lunch break). Then I go to the gym on Saturday and Sunday and swim laps for about an hour.

I've been in this stall for 4 weeks and I thought that this was supposed to be my honeymoon period. LOL! I just don't know how to break it. I have lost inches, so I can definitely see it. I would just like the scale to move past 256 (which is 30 lbs since surgery).

Does anyone have any suggestions or go through the same thing in the 2nd month?

  13. So this morning I emailed my surgeon the above info.

    He responded:

    Hi Tiffani

I don't think it's a leak. You may retain Fluid before periods and that causes tissues swelling and ur sleeve may get somewhat more narrow. Continue meds and let's talk in a week or two if these signs persist."

That eases my mind a little bit, but I will say nothing has been getting worse, it's just saying the same and when I take tylenol, the pain goes away. My hubby thinks I pulled a muscle, but it seriously is just my tummy hurting, nothing else.

So that's the update for now.

  14. As of today, I am 5 weeks out and officially in a stall. I've had a very easy time of it so far, except for the past 2 days. I feel like I have restriction now and even drinking Water hurts a little.

No vomiting, a little bit of nausea, no severe pains, but my tummy does have a dull ache that doesn't seem to go away. No trouble breathing. I also feel bloated. I know I should be starting my period, but it hasn't happened yet. I've been passing gas just fine, but right before I do pass gas, it builds up and hurts for a bit.

However, I have been driving my hubby's car which has NO power steering and is a stick shift.

I don't know if this is normal and I'm just psyching myself out or something else. LOL!
