That's right where I've been the past 4 hours

In the hospital

I'm 6 days out tonight and have started to run a fever around 102. Doc has me on Tylenol until tomorrow as long as I don't have any increasing pain. If the pain gets worse or the fever doesn't respond to Tylenol- to the ER I go.
And I am pretty much shitting myself. Leaking has been the one aspect of this surgery that scared me the most. Here's to hoping my body is just having a hard time adjusting!

I won't give a number rating now bc I feel I haven't been sleeved long enough to really know (6 days) but I've lost 14.5lbs in those days so that's definitely something to think about!
My husband said my surgery took 45 mins but my time in the recovery room was more than double that.

Blender Bottle for shakes (got them from vitacost.com for $1.93 for 2) and a mini food processor that I got for $4.97 from Walmart years ago.

Holy smokes- you've had bariatric surgery before I went to my first prom! That must be really overwhelming for you.
-
Omg I'm having so much fun weighing myself! I'll be 1 week tomorrow too and this morning I was down by 14.5lbs in 6 days!!

6 days out and BOYOHBOY!!
Only problem is that the pain meds have stolen my 'o's. I've got 'H' by the bucket though!
-
I think if you are feeling really good without it you should totally not worry!
-
I'm having the same problem!! I'm so freaked out about a leak I am babying the hell out of my tummy today.
-
I use a Prilosec capsule and just pop it open, sprinkle the contents onto my tongue, take a swig of Water, and done!
-
My sleeve is seriously mad at me today. It's so scary, even though I know this is all part of the process.
-
My sleeve was mostly cosmetic. Sure, I wanted to avoid future health problems- but I had NO comorbidities. Whatsoever. I'm 27 and want to feel sexy like a 27 year old!!! So I got surgery

Okay, I'm not really what you would call an expert on the cramps. I do however feel something ball up inside and yes it pulses three or four times. Then it is gone. It's not a small pain though. It's pretty stout for just a few seconds.
Yes, this!! I've had a few that have literally stopped me in my tracks and made me think 'leak!'

As of yesterday, 5 days out- I was down 13lbs

I stopped buying clothing for myself literally years ago. Anything I bought was to replace something I desperately needed. But once I decided on surgery I filled 3 boxes full of dream clothes from the SalVal and clearance racks!

Thank heavens!!

I wonder if attempting to gulp is your issue. I've forgotten to sip and done gulps a time or two- each time it was AWFUL!

I'm only five days out but I'm already mourning being able to drink normally. More than anything else I want to chug a huge glass or icy cold Water.
Instead I have to take super teensy sips of lukewarm Water with 1/2 tsp of crystal lite.
I can't live like this forever!! I feel like I need to brush the sweetness out of my mouth to protect my teeth hourly! Will I ever be able to drink normally again??

I just want to point out that the sleeve is absolutely nothing like anorexia - not even close to the same ballpark.
People who have anorexia will attempt to live off of as little as possible (1/2 of an apple and gallons of Water each day) in order to become 'thin' despite the fact that they are typically already hideously thin. It's Body Dysmorphic Disorder.
The sleeve forces you to eat LESS, but not nothing. Most sleevers maintain their weight by eating anywhere from 1000-2000 calories per day. Someone with anorexia would be horrified at the idea of eating more that 100-300 calories per day.
The two are nothing alike.
