Is Branson in the middle of all of the group? Or a spa type place would be lovely. Not sure of costs for all tho. Anyone else proposing places??

Medicine & Weight Gain
I also had to change some of my prescribed meds. With no change in diet but new meds, my weight went up. After consulting my Dr, he changed 2 meds that clearly had weight gain as a side effect. It worked to substitute other meds... It is worth looking up as itwas frustrating til we figured it out. Good luck

Happy to be really alive
I think you are on to something end zone. There is some sort of mourning the loss of your coping Mechanism. we are going thru this because most of us couldn't self control (for years) and I think it feels like you are losing some control or power. Does that make sense?

Ha. Good one lisacaron Sadly, I bet we would recognize our former selves at the buffets. You know... Getting our "value" by eating more than possibly reasonable

Vegas ( minus the buffets) is very reasonable and has decent entertainment. Like Beatles cirque de soleil ??? Or???

I'm loving the sassy hair cuts and attitudes! Since a horrible pixie cut when I was 8 I have not cut my hair shorter than my shoulders. I may not have gotten long thin legs in life but thankfully got thick hair that will curl anyway I want. You gals are brave! I feel like it is so personal. Like exposing yourself with no long mane to fool around with ! Cute pics

What's the story behind your profile name?

Canadaian Thanksgiving
I, too, was surprised at gatherings that no one really focuses on others plate...too busy eating (ok too quickly I think.. Snarky I know) after almost 8 years a relative just said " you finished your fish" when we were out. So some do take note I guess... Golly.. It's just food. One meal out of thousands. I digress Most people care about their own meal. Not ours thankfully Keep it up!

Lucky. You get another chance to believe in partnership❤️. I'm trying to absorb all the caring you got and deserve. Congrats!! It is a bit hard only 5 months widowed, but I keep wanting to believe that things happen that make you happy down the road.

Yummy now--No Way before WLS
I now like lentils, split peas and garbanzo beans. Really didn't used to eat them much. Who knew our tastes would change?

Was anyone banded in December of '06?
I'm a dec 06 bander. One of the best decisions I ever made. Gave up the daily struggle with myself and food. Big difference in my life!

Love the info and support and weight loss chat on here. Not sure other people understand our way of life. It really helps me. Thanks for all suggestions!

Ex Lax, Miralax, Beneful, Metamucil, Senesomething, Activia, or what?
I'm on the smooth move camp. Warm. Tasty and usually desired results..,.really worth a try in my opinion. Safeway had it here in California Health food stores too Good luck !

Do you think I need a fill? Can you eat rice?
I'm one of the rare ones that rice agrees with. No pasta. Never agrees with me. Bread is rare. Toasted maybe once a month. Everyone is so different in their band and habits. It seems like some is trial and lots of errors! After lots of years I am fairly clear on what works with my antique band (2006). The best part I think is that weight does not come back!!! Heaven to not obsess about food calories... I think exercise and protein and water seem to be the most common stories I see on here. Good luck. It works if you do!

My doctor says that gastric banding is a waste of time.
Well. Lots of us here clearly think banding was a good choice. It is such a personal decision. And you have to be willing to do the work it takes to exercise and monitor food. No other way has ever worked for me. I support whatever you choose if it makes you healthier and happier. That is what my band did for me personally. Best of luck and do tell the final decision.
