msboo79 reacted to CaliKat in How Do You Get Over Cravings?Focus your energy elsewhere.
If your brain is bored.... its going to play games with you.
My go-to is either online shopping (ok... more like online browsing) for things that I want when I meet goal, working out or reading a trashy novel. Totally distracts me.
Youre going to be able to have your crave foods shortly. Just white knuckle this and power through... you can do this!

msboo79 got a reaction from PEvette in 6 Months Post-Op!I was sleeved on December 8, 2011 and I must say it has been rocky. Not even 8 weeks after my gallbladder had to come out. I thought I was ok until I started having trouble walking and my stomach, legs, and thighs went completly numb. My lady parts are numb as well as my breast so I had to get a attorney because they think something went wrong during the surgery. But, on a POSITIVE note I came from 412 to 311 in less tha 6 months. I'm praying that my walking goes back to 100% so I can finally hi8t the gym. I have a MRI scheduled fot Monday so we can figure out what this guy did..thanks for reading:)

msboo79 got a reaction from babigrl111 in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Newbie!Hey everybody!!! I'm scheduled to be sleeved on December 8 and I'm starting to get nervous. I have researched having WLS for 10 years and finally my insurance pays for my choice. I'm diabetic( 11years), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, PCOS and all that good stuff that comes along with "the sugar". I'm finally getting the tool that is going to help me to achieve better health. I have been married for almost 12 years and I would love to have kids before I turn 35....so I have at least 2 more years to get myself together and hit my goal weight.

msboo79 got a reaction from TeamBrickHouse in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Newbie!I'm glad to know that you are well, my grandfather was a diabetic and his kidneys were severely damaged from years of uncontrolled blood pressure. I'm sure that after surgery your hbp issues will be resolved...

msboo79 reacted to iegal in I Hate My Gastric SleeveAssume you have already talked to surgeon...what was his/her advice?
If you are not getting enough liquids in, yes you will hate your sleeve. Hun, you need liquids as evidenced by your multiple hospitalizations. Take charge today. Advice- Sip more often and less quantity. If you have to get a shot glass and EVERY 15 minutes drink one ounce of G2 Gatorade or Zero Powerade for dehydration. Set your watch, kitchen time, iphone...what ever it takes. This is brutal but so necessary.
Once you are not throwing up for 8 hours straight, try some liquid Protein. costco has some 30 gram or GNC carries 40 gram clear Liquid Protein. Expensive, but not as expensive as those hospital co-pays.
Good luck and keep us informed with your progress. Hugs.

msboo79 reacted to LilMissDiva Irene in Facebook & Twitter IntegrationI created an entire new FB account for my weight loss and only folks that know about my WLS and friends are on there. I do not post anything and everything on my real FB account. You can sync it to the fake account so you won't worry that things you don't want to be said on FB will be on there.
So, first it has to be synced to your FB account of your choice - AND - you have to click the little box to post it there. You're safe unless you do those two things.
