  2. I was 1 year post-op December 8 and I graze a lot!! I have never liked protein shakes and I eat stuff that got me over 400lbs again. Does anyone have any tips that I can use to curb my appetite and get away from these awful carbs? Thanks, Jessica

  4. Hello all!! My name is Jessica and I was sleeved on December 8, 2011 and I have lost a little over 100lbs. My a1c is almost normal and my PCOS is getting better. I'm so glad I found this forum so I learn about everyone else's experience. I started my journey at 412 and today I am 304!!
  5. Hello everyone I live in Birmingham and I was sleeved December 8, 2011 and I started at 412. I am now 315...I was 305 back in June. I'm starting to gain some of my weight back but I think I need to start walking to speed up my weightloss. I drink over the amount of water and get in my protein. My goal is 200 so I hope I can make it:)
  6. My surgeon thought that may be the issue but its something the surgeon did. I did have muscle weakness and problems getting up and down stairs but its getting better. I am very good with getting my protein in and my Vitamins. Its from a mistake that happened during my gallbladder surgery
  7. First I want to thank you all for reading and the comments. I want to answer a few questions...when my gallbladder stopped working it started as a postnasal sinus drip along with really bad reflux and the foamies. I couldn't poop either and then I couldn't keep anything down for longer than 2 minutes. Now it may be different for others. I had my blood work done several times and my b12 is actually pretty good and my surgeon wanted to make sure that it wasn't a defeciency. So I'm good on the vitamins. I am having an MRI of my back since I had surgery on it in 2005. I also have to have a EMG done because they think a nerve was cut and there may be some nerve damage. As a matter of fact when I went to my follow up appt and asked him why I was numb, he said it was probably a nerve. When I first tried to get a MRI they said I had a clamp still in me and that the MRI machine would pull it out but my neurologists got my surgical report and it said I didn't so we are dealing with a major cover up. But I will continue to move on and stay POSITIVE! Thank you all again:) Jessica
  8. I was sleeved on December 8, 2011 and I must say it has been rocky. Not even 8 weeks after my gallbladder had to come out. I thought I was ok until I started having trouble walking and my stomach, legs, and thighs went completly numb. My lady parts are numb as well as my breast so I had to get a attorney because they think something went wrong during the surgery. But, on a POSITIVE note I came from 412 to 311 in less tha 6 months. I'm praying that my walking goes back to 100% so I can finally hi8t the gym. I have a MRI scheduled fot Monday so we can figure out what this guy did..thanks for reading:)
  9. I have never heard of that but I can't wait to eat them again...
  10. I know the waiting sucks big time but it will go by super fast on that pre-op diet lol!! The days flew by for me and before you know it you will be approved:)
  11. I have cheated......I boil eggs and ate them the first night of my liquid diet. That carnation instant breakfast is the devil.....I'm so done with that mess
  12. You know I had those same feelings and up until they tell you that you are approved that feeling just stays with you. Just know that God is in control and I will say a special prayer for your speedy approval!

  18. I'm glad to know that you are well, my grandfather was a diabetic and his kidneys were severely damaged from years of uncontrolled blood pressure. I'm sure that after surgery your hbp issues will be resolved...
  19. I'm so sorry to hear that, so how have you been? You are right, it will be so worth it in the end and we all can finally get our lives on track.....30 seems like a thing of the past for me since I turned 32 lol!! And you are gonna look AWESOME!!
  20. I hated that 6 month stuff and my PCP was so off....I had to show him how to do everything. I wish I had a 200lb goal but I have 180 set in my head and I have to see my surgeon on Thursday so I need to ask her if she has a goal she wants me to meet. I will be sending POSITIVE prayers & vibes your way!!
  21. Thanks for the welcome!! I know it will be a long road but I have already invested over 10 years to it so the rest should be a breeze :biggrin5:
