  1. When you go for a fill ask your LapBand doctor what he/she thinks. And let me know.... I agree I made a choice to get the lapband and was my decision not anyone elses. I am 52 yrs old and it took me a long time to get to the size I was back in June of 2011. So thin-phen was my mircle potion 10 years ago great results but some how came back.

But ask your doctor and let me know what the reaction is. If I am to take HCG with band I am sure I would have been given a perscription at discharge time.

  2. I did not take anything... LOL... left pillow in car for ride home so seat belt did not push on stomach.

I walked as much as I could and asked questions. What I did not do and should have was ask for pain meds before it got to bad. So stay ahead of your pain. and make sure you sip your Water and walk as much as you can. (it helps with the gas).

    Best of luck

    Karen

  3. I got my band on Jan,30th 2012 surgery day wieghted in at 250.5 almost 3 weeks now and down to 243 is this normal to be slow. I get my first fill on March 8th 2012. I have not been very active do to the tenderness of the porthole spot. But it is much easier to move around today. So what might I be doing wrong or right???? LOL

  4. I too will be getting my Band on Jan. 30th of 2012. I am excited to get started on my new journey. I am 52 1/2 and have been as my granddaughter calls it "FLUFFY" all my adult life. I have found and reached out to people who I have seen in the past 8 months while going to my appointments as a support team in my local area. This is going to make a big difference in the feed back I get. Because I will be able to SEE their resulsts as well as hear about them.

My scale wieght as of today is 260.5 lbs. So will see where this road takes me.....
