I used to really deck my house out for Christmas, but about 7 years ago we really downsized. It actually only takes me about a 1/2 hour to put things out now. We don't even put a tree up. With it just being hubby and I, we chose not to put one up. It wouldn't have presents under it anyway. But I still have my favorites that I still like to put out. Halloween is when I really decorate. Clear liquids all day today. That's gonna be a toughie. I'm gonna go get my sister later and take her to the grocery store and then get her some lunch and take her home. Then tonight after midnight, nothing to drink at all. No sips of water, The carpets are getting shampooed today and I'll be changing sheets on the beds. Don't really have any laundry so that will be nice. House will be in order and I won't have to worry about anything for a few days. Cold and rainy here today. Maybe I can have a fire in the fireplace this evening. Make it a good one.

Well, I got to take about a 15 minute nap and that is just what I needed. Got busy doing some housework and finishing laundry. These anti-biotics seem to be taking my appetite away. I actually have no desire to eat anything. Even going thru wal-mart this morning I didn't have an urge to go to the donuts cabinet. Weird for me. Now it's back to work and then I'm done till next Monday. Did Kat take everyone with her???? Where are you guys????

Home from work and getting ready to go take a little nap. I have to work the evening shift and I can't quit yawning. Doc called yesterday and I am now on anti-biotics. Seems I have a little bladder infection. Hmmm. Tracy and Angela, when are you guys getting together with Kat? Give her a big hug for me when you see her. BBL.

I've been gone all day and had a great time. Now I'm home and the power just went out for the whole neighborhood. I'm gonna turn the laptop off and save my battery and just check in every now and then. Hope we aren't out too long.

Tracy, what a great thing you did. And a wonderful memory for both of you. Makes me wish I still had my Mom. Did you and Macy go to Chuck E Cheese??? Michelle. I thought I was a mess. Sounds like you need some TLC and some good meds. Hopefully with your foot it's something that doesn't need surgery. I've had my feet operated on twice, it's a hassle. You become dependent on others. My hubby got real good at making microwave popcorn (long story goes with that). Good luck with the ear. I have a busy day tomorrow. I work my shift in the morning and then head right to the Band Doc's. They are going to take ALL of my fluid out. I'm nervous already about it. I hope I have the strength to get thru the next 6 weeks without gaining 50 pounds. When I leave there I'm going to go meet up with my friend that lives over that way. That's about the only time we ever see each other. She lives about 3 miles from the office so I always make a date with her. We will visit for about 4 hours then I will head home. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Hi Kat.

Tonight at church I was an usher. One of the things I do is stand at the door and greet people as they come in. So I'm standing there and there is a row of chairs behind me with a lady and her 2 year old grandson. I walked away from the door and it slowly shuts. I step back to the door and the lady comes up to me and tells me that next time I leave the door to let her know because her grandson had his fingers in the door jam and I let the door go and he could have gotten hurt. Seriously, are you saying it's my fault????? Why don't you teach your grandson to not put his fingers where they don't belong. Sorry for the rant. Just kind of urked me.

Hey guys, Cold day here today but at least the sun is shining. I've had the fireplace going all day long keeping my toesies warm. I heard that Kat made it to Tx. Hope they got all the way. Not much going on here. Did some housework and a few ittle things here. Kinda taking it easy. I'll get busy tomorrow. A little girl scout came by today to sell cookies. I actually turned her down. That's only because I have already ordered 3 boxes from a cousin of mine.

Ashley, what about a crock-pot full of apple cider on warm, good to drink and also will make the store smell yummy. Then you could also have a few bottles of cold apple cider. Good Luck. Now I'm starting to get jealous. Kat's gonna be in Tx. Jenn, good luck and keeping you in my prayers. Lazy, rainy, cold day here. This might slow me down.

Terri, have a safe journey. I know the snow is beautiful but it can be very dangerous. Home from my pre-op. I have to be there next thursday at 10am and then my surgery will be at 1:30pm. I probably should be home around 6pm-ish. I have a list of things I have to do before and then afterwards it's just take it easy and lots of rest. Uh huh, right. Have you known me to rest? Now I'm off to go take sis to the grocery store. Be back soon.

Good Morning. Getting ready to head out the door. Hubby and I are driving over to the hospital to do my pre-op. She didn't tell me if I needed to fast for the blood draw, so I haven't had my cup of hot chocolate yet. It'll be ok, I think hubby is taking me out for dinner(keeping fingers crossed). Michelle, when we were at Disneyland back in Sept. I was really surprised and pleased to see all the little girls dressed in their princess dresses. If they'd had one in my size I would have worn it. Good luck with the foot. Tracy, hang in there. It will works it's way and you will be losing again. Jenn, it's getting colder here also. Looks like we will be burning some wood this weekend. I'm saying a prayer for you also. Angela, ouch on that picture. He sure has endured alot. I will keep him in my prayers that this will all be over soon for him. Good luck.

Morning. Pasta is not taboo with me either. But I don't eat a lot of it either. I'm one of those ones that really don't have a problem with any food. The other day at lunch, my friend got stuck on her salad. She said iceberg is ok but when she gets into the fancy lettuces that's when she has problems. Kat, that is such a hard decision to make. If you stay with your Mom, how soon will it be before you can go see the boys? Tracy, would you be willing to share the Christmas card list with me????? Jenn, I sure wish we could get a long post from you. It's been such a long time since we've had a good update. Cindy, I would be a nervous wreck having some one watch me. I've always hated having my bosses to close to me when I work. Not that I'm hiding anything, just makes me nervous. Michelle, I'm thinking very seriously about doing the bag thing. Especially the morning of my surgery because it will be a few days before I will be able to get back in. I'll have the stitches on my stomach and won't be able to get those wet. Years ago when I went thru that horrible 6 months of in and out of the hospital for treatments, I got real good at doing sponge baths. I have it down real good and can get in and out real fast. I would just rather be in a shower. So far today I have done my house work, washed a few blankets, baked cupcakes for the hospital tonight, made some caramel rolls for hubby for breakfast. Now I'm relaxing and eating my bowl of oatmeal. Think I may go over to the thrift store after while. Hi Plain. Make it a good day.

I'm home and dogged tired. Hope I sleep well tonight. Tracy, I need to tell you Thank You for being a roll model. You have kept me straight now for a few days. It's hard but I am finding strength thru you postings. Just want you to know that someone really appreciates you. Actually not one but many here do. I'm so ready for a shower. It will still be about 2 more weeks before I hopefully get one. Someone needs to invent a showerable cast.

Kat, that is very exciting news. I know this has been a very important issue you have dealt with. Too bad it took them so long to pass it. Ok, I lied. I didn't clean the dining room.Hubby and I went outside and worked. We got the pile of dead branches all cut up and stacked. We trimmed trees and got that all cut and stacked. Then I mowed again. I mowed over where the pile had been and then I went around the perimeter and mulched some more leaves. It took us about an hour and a half. Had lunch and now getting ready to go back into work.

Kat, I'm so sorry that things have changed and that you won't be able to see the boys. I know you were so looking forward to it. Hopefully a new solution will come up and you will be able to go. Home from work and trying to decide what I want to get done around the house today. Then I have to go back to work this afternoon. I'm thinking the dining room is going to get a good cleaning.

Well, if I was ging to blow it, I could see me doing it eating roasted marshmallows. Love those things. But you know what? It's done and over with and you will be fine. Learn from this mistake.

Ashley, years ago I went with my sister's to a ball tournament for my niece. That meant we had t share a room at the motel. Well, my older sister was horrible. None of us got any sleep. So we went to Wal-Greens and bought some stuff that you spray in the mouth. Seriously, We had to check several times to see if she was even breathing, she was so quiet. I don't remember the name of it but it was a spray. I think they also had drops. Hubby and I mowed the lawn and got all of the leaves taken care of. We ran the leaf blower for a long time. My nose was so clogged with guck. Came in and took a sponge bath and washed my hair. Now I have to dry it. Doing nothing for the rest of the day, maybe. I still want to get the linen closet done. Maybe I'll do it while hubby is taking his nap.

Home from Church and getting caught up on Football. Someone brought all the makings for Taco Salad. We weren't going to eat but ended up eating anyway. It tasted so good. So when I got home I put dinner away. We'll eat it tomorrow. I got the front hall closet cleaned out today. Wanted to make sure that all of our winter stuff was ready to go. I certainly don't need anymore mufflers. Got out coats all lined up. Tomorrow I think I will work on the linen closet and get it in order. Kat, I hope you get a good nights sleep and wake up feeling so much better. Happy Birthday Zach. Hope it was a nice one.

Good Sunday Morning. I was hoping that the extra hour we got I would spend it sleeping. Well, that didn't happen. Been a busy little bee this morning. Doing lots of little stuff that just needs to get done. Last night my friend from High School called and we were on the phone for over 2 hours. We laughed so much. It was a lot of fun talking to her. Wish we lived closer. Football day here. I love Sundays. Deb, keep to your guns. You have every right to play. Hang in there. Kat, hope you get to feeling better and that it's not what hubby and I had a few weeks ago. That was yucky. Have a great day.

Our closest K-Mart is about 12 miles away. I miss the one that was only 2 miles away. They closed it about 6 years ago. The guy who usually brings our firewood stopped by the other day. His transmission is out.So this morning Hubby and I drove back to his place and picked up a truck load of Oak. The three of us loaded it and then we came home and my younger sis helped us unload. It's all stacked and ready to go. I did pretty good with the cast. I weebled a little at one point but I did my share of work. Now it's off to go take my sponge bath and then get my hair washed in the kitchen sink. Good thing I have lots of practice doing it this way. Other than that the rest of the weekend should be a quiet one. Church and Football.

Here's my story; I got up at 4:30 this morning and wasn't happy that I couldn't take a shower. I did my usual routine and then left for work at 5:45. I did all my duties at work and even ran the sweeper. I got off work at 9:00 and headed to the grocery store to get some stuff that was on sale. I bring it home and put things away. I mess around for about 45 minutes and then take off to go meet my friend for lunch at Panera's. From there we went over to the dog park and walked around and let the doggie run for about a half hour. I came home and peeled chopped potatoes, onions and celery and made a big pot of potato soup. Boiled some eggs, sept the kitchen floor. Did a few other things around the house and then ran the sweeper......................And then I wonder why Darrell gets so mad at me. He actually believes that I should stay home and rest and put my casted foot up. When the Doc was putting it on, I looked at Darrell and made the statement that I wasn't going to let this get in my way. The Doc just laughed. How little he knows me. So now that everything is done, I'm sitting here in my chair with my shoe off and my feet up. Relaxing for the rest of the day. Kat, my cast allows me to move my ankle which makes walking a lot easier. So far no itching but if I do I will grab the flyswatter. Actually I had already thought that. I'll be glad when it's off so I can scrub my foot real good.

Thanks Kat. I'm glad I'm not on crutches also. Last time I was on those I had problems with blisters and wrist problems. I hope everything goes well with the in-laws and that they don't have any troubles or cause any troubles. That is scary that they are trying to do it themselves.
