Home and resting in my chair. I not only worked out this morning, but after all my running around I came home and went for a long walk. When I got home I took some aleve and now I will rest for a little bit. I'm gonna make some banana bread today. I managed to save 3 bananas to do this with. Oh great, one more thing for me eat. My mind just went blank...

I sure will be glad when they finish remodeling our Wal-Mart. It's been 2 weeks since I have been there and I still can't find anything. The chimney sweep was supposed to come at 3pm today, he just called and wants to come at 1:30. Good thing my house is somewhat clean. A lady that was banded that lives about 4 miles from here came over today and we went fr a walk. she brought her dog. We had a good time. Be back soon.

Hey guys. Jenn, those pictures are great and you look awesome. Quit being so hard on yourself, you have done great and I for one am proud of you. Your daughter is beautiful. Kat, hope your tummy gets to feeling better. I know I feel beter after having a few days of the flu. Now just need to get a little sleep and all will be well. My younger sis and I drove out to Sibley today to go get apples. I haven't been there in about 4 years. Last year we drove out to Kansas and decided that was to far to go. So I had my mouth set for some apple cider donuts. They don't make them there. My heart was broke. I was really wanting some. I did end up buy a couple of pumpkins and some apple jelly, so it wasn't a toatl loss. Maybe next weekend I can drive out to Louisburg and get my donuts, it's only once a year. Tonight hubby and I went to our first class at church. He has decided to join and now will have to take classes. So I am going with him to make him feel more comfortable and take notes for him. lol. He'll also be able to ask me questions. I'm really excited for him and hope that he keeps going strong. I really need to get my butt in gear. I have that 5K coming up in a few weeks and really need to get my endurance up. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Kat, after meeting Rick in person, I would have expected no less from him. He has that kind of heart that will walk a mile for you if he saw you in distress. What a lovely virtue in a person. Something we should all strive for.I'm s glad to hear that your visit went wonderful and that you got to spend time with the boys. Isn't it amazing how they do grow up so fast. We are having a silent auction at work to raise money for Breast Cancer research. So today I went to Hobby Lobby and bought 2 different patterns of fleece. Even though they are different they still go together. So I blocked and cut them and then tied them together. They are primarily pink and black, a very popular colors. It's all done and I will take it into work. Tracy, did your cry seem to help you out? I know that when I do have a good cry that I'm able to think a little more clearer. I'm able to put things in prospective. I hope you get some relief. Where's Terri at. She hasn't checked in in a long time.

Hubby and I went over to see "The Wall that Heals" exhibit here. It was amazing. I'm posting pics but let me warn you, it was windy and I look more like a wicked witch then I should. But we enjoyed the whole thing and even got some info on hubbys time in the Air Force. Afterwards we went to brunch and I couldn't even eat half of what I got. I think I got a good fill yesterday.

Jenn, I saw the weather reports, be very careful. So sad about Tony Curtis. I love his movies. Yesterday was a very longgggg day for me. But I did get some good news from one of the Docs. First appointment was to go give blood for my poisoning check-up. I have to be tested periodically for this. Second appointment was with my kidney Doc. All is well and she is very happy with my results. The third one was with my fill Doc. I did get a fill which was very much needed. I had actually only gained a little over 2 pounds while I was on the road for 3 weeks, so I was happy with that. But he did tell me that I do need to have the Hiatal Hernia repaired. He did say that I could wait till I was ready to do it. I told him I just wasn't looking forward to more surgery right now. So Hubby and I are going to talk about this. I'm thinking that maybe after the holidays would be ok. The next couple of days here in my home town, they have "The Wall that Heals". Sometime today Hubby and I are going to go over to see it. I know a few people that served in Vietnam but I don't know anyone on the wall. I'll have to remember to bring some tissues. Have a good day everyone.

Jenn, that happened to my sister and me one time. We were in a restaurant while they were interviewing a women about her neighborhood. You couldn't tell it was me, I knew because I had been there. Was so thankful they didn't get my face. lol. Went to bed at 8:30 last night and only got up twice to go potty. I'm feeling ok, just a little sluggish. I have to work for a few hours then off to go to give blood for my test. Then head to the kidney Doctor for my 6 month check up. Then off to go see my fill Doctor. He's gonna decide if I need to get my hiatal hernia repaired, hoping not. It hasn't bothered me since my unfill right before my spine surgery. Then it's back to work for about 5 hours. So glad I have tomorrow off. Kat, Phone Home. Have a great day.

Ughhhh. I have the flu bug. I hate feeling this way. So I'm going to try to go to bed early tonight and get some good rest. The last few days have been hectic. Doing double shifts and not feeling good is taking a toll. I have Thursday off work so maybe a little rest will do me good. Hi Everyone.

Morning Girls. Up and getting ready for work then off to breakfast with my group. We do this about every 3 months so that we can keep in touch with each other. It's a lot of fun. Then I have to go back to work this evening. Debbie. My husband and I volunteer at our local hospital. We have been doing it for about 3 1/2 years now and absolutely love it. I too also get a good feeling when I leave there knowing that I made a little impact on someones life. Even if it's just if I opened a door, delivered a pump, helped a nurse or got a water pitcher, it just brings a high to my life. Even hubby seems a little more humble when we get home. Yesterday we waited for my nephew to come over to help us get the steps out. He said he was going to wait till after the San Diego game. Well, that meant that it would be about 6:30pm before they would get here. So BIL came up and helped hubby and I pull the steps out. Got the chemicals put in and stirred up. Today hubby will finish draining and then we will put the cover on. I may look into having it done next year. Seems like it would be a lot easier. Yesterday I noticed that my back hurt some. Nothing real bad.Like maybe I had overused it a little. This morning it is the same way. Then I figured it out. The temps have been getting down in the low fifties and I'm thinking because of the surgery that it's just tightening up. Great, another thing to look forward to as I get older. My knees already let me know when it's going to rain or snow. Hi Kat. We miss you. Have a great day.

Angela, thanks for changing your profile pic. This one looks more like you now. Cindy, your daughter is very pretty and she does have lovely hair. Looks like she did have fun, I know I always did when we used to go to USC and UCLA games. I've never heard of Scentsy. We have PartyLite here, wonder if that is the same thing. Watching Desperate Housewives and then off to bed. Long week for me ahead. Hope Kat is enjoying her time.

Hey, home from our early morning walk. It's a cool 48 degrees. Love it. I even turned my electric blanket on last night. I stopped in the garage and pulled out some stuff to put in the church garage sale. I would love to have one, but they are to much work to get ready for. Today is a Roast in the crock pot day. Only supposed to get up into the 60's. My nephew is bringing the boys over to help us with the pool. I hope they realize that they have to get into the pool. I told hubby that we will give them 5 dollars a piece for the 5 minutes they will be in there. We did turn the heater on this morning but it is still going to be cold. Probably around 80 degrees. I'm rooting for the Chiefs today. I hope they at least try to do good. I don't know who named Dallas as America's team. They ain't my team. This is a long week for me. I normally work 10 hours a week. This week a lady is on vacation so I will be doing about 25 hours. Plus I have 3 Doc appointments and a breakfast date. Go "Texans".

Bye Kat and Manda. We will miss you but have a great time. Darrell and I got up and went for an early morning walk. Temps were in the upper 50's. My favorite time to walk. You could smell someones wood stove burning. My favorite time of the year, Fall. This morning I got an e-mail from my high school friend. We met up with her and her husband right after the wedding. It was so good to see her and she had brought along her mom. Her e-mail brought back some painfull memories of growing up with alcoholic parents. I thought I had dealt with that yeas ago and buried it but her e-mail brought it back to the surface. She is dealing with her mom now and her drinking and what it has done to her health and to her family. My parents weren't that bad but we did suffer some from their drinking. So I guess I will be doing alot of walking in the next few weeks. Doing my therapy. A good 45 minute walk is worth 2 hours on the couch talking. Tracy, I will say a little prayer for your mom. I hope all works out ok for her. So, did the "Deer" win???

Have been doing lots of stuff around the house here, cleaning, laundry etc, etc. Not much planned for the weekend.I have to work at Church tomorrow. Other than tha it should be a quiet weekend. I need a quiet weekend, I have a full work week ahead of me. One of the ladies is taking a week of vacation. She was nice enough to take my hours which is few, but she works alot so I will be busy all week. Kat, have a safe trip and enjoy the boys.

Wow, Irene. I hope you have the luck you are wanting with this huge change. Good Luck to you. Plain, I think that blouse was meant for me. She wore it specifically to meet me in. And then was grabbing my leg under the table. So I think you are out of luck. (all in good fun)

Not sure if I could swing it, but when are you all meeting. I told my boss I would not be taking anymore time off. So it will all depend. So I go to Radio Shack this morning and buy my sister a new cordless phone. It's the kind that has a second phone with it for the bedroom. I bought it because she has been complaining about her phone. She said she has no dial tone this time and is not sure if it is the phone or the phone company. I know she has previously had problems with it so I decided to just go ahead and get her a new one. I get over and get the phones plugged in to charge them and then I give her my cell phone so she can call her daughter to let her konw that she is ok. I go over to take a look at her phone and low and behold, the plug is not all the way in. I push it in and get a dial tone. (hitting head at this time). Just one of the many things I deal with with her. We did our shift at the hospital tonight. They were so excited to have us back and it felt good to be back.

Home from the gym. Tough go but I did it. Getting ready to head to the store and then over to my sisters. Told hubby, "you know what that means, I'll be in a bad mood when I get home". How sad is that. Jenn, do go to the Docs.Just to make sure Everything is ok. Kat, keep the thought about seeing your grandsons as your main focus. Let the MIL roll off your shoulder. She is not what this trip is all about. Angela, I been saying my prayers for your Uncle and I will still keep him in my prayers. Did Terri run away???? Everyone have a great day.

Sitting here watching Mike and Molly. It's the new show about a couple that meets at Overeaters Anonymous. I'm not giving it high rates yet. Very crude fat people jokes. Like I need to hear more of those. Our local Wal-mart is doing a 10 million dollar makeover. Went there today to get stocked up. I had to search for everything. I'm sure it will be nice when they finish it but right now it's a big huge mess. I shampooed the living room carpet today. It really needed it. Glad I finally got it done. Now just relaxing. Michelle, good luck on the job search. Kat, So glad you get to make the trip. Sure hope Manda gets to go also.

Jenn, glad to hear you are ok, were the kids in the car with you? I hope everyone is alright. Keep the Tylenol bottle close and maybe a good soak in the tub later today. Michelle, I hope you got some good sleep last night but I'm sure you probably had some tossing and turning. Indeed we are here for you to vent. We can handle it. Sounds like the Doc has give you some good advice. The last thing you want to hear is to get up and get moving, but I feel so much better when I am mobile. As much as I would love to just lay around all day and watch tv and nap, I make myself move. I know it's a big part of keeping myself healthy. My kidney Doc loves that I walk alot, says it's really good for my kidneys. I have stage 3 kidney failure and have managed to keep my kidneys functioning for years now with my being active. You can do this, you will find the strength. And best part is we will be here for you when you need us. First day back to work and then off to Wally world. Wish I could run in to Tracy or Angela while I was there. But as long as I can get in and out with out to much hassle, I'll be happy. Be back soon.
