Yeah, Judy, I like my pb's nice & crunchy, so an hour in the oven does it! LOL! :tounge_smile: Had an enjoyable afternoon @ Mom's w/my aunt & her family + my sis... we gals sat around the dining room table nibbling and crafting... 3 of us were working on projects we want to give by Tuesday! Nothing like waiting 'til the last minute! We talked & laughed & laughed. Fun. Now I'm really gearing up for Mon & Tues... making my lists & checking them more than twice! I want to be done Tues night & don't want to forget anything! Tick tock... it's almost the big day! Announcement: I AM MAILING MY SS GIFT TOMORROW! Really & truly. So do not fear if you haven't received yours yet... maybe it's from me! I am CERTAIN that it won't arrive 'til after the 25th... but that just extends the fun of the holiday! (Yeah, that's it!) I think I need to hire you to come down and finish my basement! You amaze me with your carpentry abilities! Judy... I wish we could hear you sing... I bet it's beautiful... Terri... LOVE the china! I'm w/Suzie... all we've got is some "winter" everyday items that we enjoy... snowman plates... Already have the first batch of pb's in the oven... need to do 12 or so today... Am going down to my Mom's this afternoon (an hour away) because my aunt & her family are there and 'tis the season to see folks, right? Am trying to make CONSCIOUS food choices today. That doesn't mean that I'll be "good"... but I want whatever I put in my mouth to be a conscious thought. I have decided to TRY to keep it lc & low sugar if at all humanly possible... so piehole report so far = B: 2 hb eggs w/a little light mayo & mustard; S: 1 vanilla atkins shake Make it a good one, dearies!

((Pam))... sorry to read that you're not feeling well! Got my lab results from a couple weeks ago... cholesterol, triglycerides are good... but... "Slightly anemic. Vitamin D is low. A, C is up. 1) Stop sugar intake. 2) Take iron supplement. 3) Take Vitamin D 50,000 every week. 4) Recheck labs in 4-6 weeks." Ok, I take 1,000 Vit D a day now... how the heck am I supposed to get 50,000/week? And when I take iron supps, then my poop gets all weird. And "stop sugar intake"? Have they met me?? YIKES!! Will I never be "normal"? Off to bake more pumpkin breads... have done 12 so far, 3 more to go for tonight, I think...

Good Saturday Morn, Vi's~~ Today I'll be busy in the kitchen... I have 20 or so pumpkin breads to make this weekend, to deliver on Monday/Tuesday... + I want to start wrapping & organizing & making a FINAL list for my LAST (I hope!) shopping trip on Monday (no way jose I'm going out this weekend!! :laugh:) All this work & a jolly old fat man gets all the credit! That's why HE'S jolly & by the big day I'm just TIRED! Make it a good one Vi's! You go, Tracy!! Think of my vp who's on LIQUIDS now thru next month!!

Ew, a week old... leave it Laura! Esp. when there are so many FRESH treats around @ this time of year! lol! I do EVERYTHING around here... and should dh do a stray something, like, say, change a lightbulb, I have to thank him like a million times or he'll never do it again... sheesh... I don't know what would happen if he actually had to "run" the house... it wouldn't be pretty... TracyK, I love your goal's timeline "... sometime before I croak." :ohmy: Judy, you are right on sister, w/the re-commitment @ the beginning of the new year... In fact, knowing my family, in a week from now it'll all practically be OVER! -- lol! Countless hours to prepare... an hour to rip through all the wrap!! Terri... I'm in a funk w/dh as well... TracyK... my doc says we should be getting 70+ g of protein, 30 - 50 g carb (no less), and 30 g fat each day. Judy... exercise is my downfall, too... but I feel like my band could certainly be tighter... I *very rarely* pb on anything... sometimes I eat stuff thinking that there's no way it'll go down & amazingly it does, no problem... like the 5 Guys' burgers... yowza! :shades_smile: Pam... I agree w/you about the carbs, BUTT (get it? :confused:) I can't stop once I eat them & so when I follow low-carb, then my system gets "cleaned out" & I don't crave them, etc... at least while I'm trying to LOSE. The other thing she said that I totally disagree w/is that she'd rather have me take 3 pills a day to poop than eat white flour carbs... Mo not pooping is all I can handle. Stupid cat. My assistant principal just e-mailed me and she got her date! She was hoping to get banded by the end of the year (because of that "no insurance" rule for next year) and she's scheduled for DEC. 31!! :sad_smile: Talk about cutting it close! That, AND she has to start her liquid diet TONIGHT!! :thumbup::eek: Maybe that's the way to do it... don't eat ANYthing... hmmmmm... I had considered doing liquids w/her in solidarity, but it just seems EXTRA hard to do it @ this time of year... I'm a mess, huh? Can you tell I bounce back & forth & back & forth w/how to proceed? Yikes.

Oh, 1 other thing... she told me NO CEREAL, not even high-fiber ones, due to the carbs... so I used Judy's line: "But it's tasty and it makes me poop!" She snorted she laughed so hard!

Hey girls... I had to bop out of here way early this a.m. & go to the band doc... it turns out I haven't been since JUNE!... and after the end of this year they aren't taking any insurance and a visit will be between $150 - 210 out of pocket (YIKES!). "Officially" since June I've GAINED 7 lbs... ugh... so we chatted and I KNOW what to do it's just I guess I thought that the band would HELP more... seriously, I can eat ANYTHING... a whole 5 Guys burger... spaghetti... all veggies... fruit... WHATEVER... I hear & read about you guys being able to eat only soup and I WANT THAT! So then she pulls out all the fluid and says it's maxed out (which is what she said in June) so she puts in back in and said she put in a little bit more, too (maybe she did, I don't know). So that & to eat low carb, in the right order, drink my water (which I haven't been doing -- she said water "mobilizes" the fat -- that's what I want, my fat to mobilize right on out of me!!), blah dee blah... So we'll see... of course NOW isn't the best time of year to be trying to get back on course... rickin' frickin'... but I certainly DO want to FINISH THIS weight loss thing... to get to my original goal at least... So that's my day... I've been "good" so far, but I usually always am 'til the 3/4pm timeframe... then it all goes out the window... Me & Oprah... forever fat. :smile2:

Dicey weather here today, it keeps sleeting & hailing, but I went out shopping anyway... must do my part for the economy, lol... anyhoo... piehole report is ok so far: B = pro shake L = grande white choc mocha latte (ok, maybe NOT so good!) & a SB prosciutto & ricotta sandwich (soooo yummy warmed up!) BUT... am now going into the kitchen to make 2 different kinds of cookies AND a batch of pumpkin bread... and that dern baklavah is still in there, too... oh dear... oh my... :thumbup:
