    Average Weight Loss After Fill

I have had 4 fills since November 4/11. I find that it takes about 2 weeks for me to feel the full effect of a fill. I am finally closer to the Green Zone now. I can still eat a cup of food or there abouts, but I actually feel satisfied with that amount. Everyone is different and feel different with each fill. The band is not a quick fix, it is meant to be used as a tool along with a healthy(ier) lifestyle. I have lost 21 lbs since my surgery and I couldnt be happier. Sure I want it gone fast, but I know thats not realistic. Sounds like you are doing just fine! You'll get there, no worries.
  4. I understand your concern. However, I had my surgery done in Mexico at Hospital Angeles. It was very safe, my mother came with me and she was in the room with me the whole time except to go eat. Although it does sound like you made up your mind. I just wanted you to know I would do it again, I didnt feel threatened at all. Tijuana is right on the border of CA, not deep into Mexico. Good luck with whatever road you choose. Luvs
  5. I use a stool softener, it really makes a big difference for me.

    What is going ON?

Im so glad I found this thread!!!! I am feeling exactly the same way. I have a tendency to worry and think the worst, so of course I have been thinking something is wrong. This thread has given me alot of reassurance knowing that Im not the only one. I have my one week follow up on Friday and Im sure that my Dr. will tell me not to worry so much! Thanks again feliciadawn for putting your issues in writing. I hope you are feeling better. Corinna

    Is this normal??

Thanks for your reply! I dont think what Im feeling is the band, but I was concerned about swelling and such (internally). I found a thread that was posted by someone who was feeling exactly as I do now and I got alot of reassurance from that thread. I will still check with my doc on Fri, but im sure everything is going as it should. Corinna
  8. Hello everybody! Im a new bandster~ just got mine 11/4 and am still adjusting. Right now the only thing Im really concerned about is the pressure I feel in my stomach, just below my breasts (im assuming thats probably where the band is. When Im sitting upright is bothers me more , but its a feeling of pressure. when I lay on my back if I push on the area it feels the same~ a pressure like feeling ( I know, I know Im pushing on it, but its not that kind of pressure!) It almost feels like gas that wont come up. should I be worried? I have my one week follow up on Friday and will address it then as well. Help! Corinna

    Does the hunger ever stop

Its also not uncommon to feel hungry if you are still on thick liquids or mushies. Im only 5 day post op and Im starving. Of course Im still liquids. Im sure you will feel better after your fill. The band is not one size fits all, so be patient and use that willpower! We're all cheering for you. Corinna

    POST OP GAS

I know exactly what you mean! It feels like you have to burp, it comes up part way but nothing comes out and its uncomforable. Im 5 days post op and am having that exact same thing. Its definitely not from the carbon dioxide they use during the surgery, this is a stomach type of gassy feeling. I just try to burp when I can...Im sure it will pass as time goes on, but it sure is uncomfortable!! Hope it goes away soon. Corinna
