    Main Incision Pain

I had a similar pain days after surgery, even after a year out the main incision itches like a mother$#%^ lol. Then all of a sudden it rains. People say this is normal. But idk.
  2. I'm so sorry to hear this is happening to you, but sometimes we must be persistent w what we want the most. For instance, I've been seeking wls since 2004 and been denied by 3 major hospitals and over 9 surgeons in NYC and finally June 2011 I had my sleeve done..... Guess my sorry is; don't quit.

    14 Months Out W/ Pictures

Geez you look amazing! A round of applause for you!
  4. I know Im rather late here with this, But june 7th was my one year anniversary. I got sleeved june 7th of 2011 and have lost a little over 245+ on my one year mark, exceeding the centers expectation by over 120 pounds. They expected me to lose 100-125 first year but I beat it. Life for me since losing so much surgery...AMAZING! Im starting to live again, breathe again, and look at life at a fresher and better view. Ive promised myself, that this summer I would enjoy it like no other summer by going to the Yankee stadium and sitting on seats instead of the bleachers, Visit dorney park, and mountain creek and of course six flags and maybe get my ass into a roller coaster. BUT, of course being I was nearly 550 pounds for so long, its a bruise that still lives in me and I am doing something about it, so that it doesnt live in me forever. My question to you guys/gals is: I so wanna get on a roller coaster at six flags or dorney park, but have a huge fear of walking down the path of shame (workers telling me the harness doesnt fit) in front of hundreds of people. I am 6-3" tall, weigh 315 pounds but folks ive spoken to said "its not really how much you weigh but how your fat is distributed." With that my waist is 42-44" and chest is 46-47"... any male/female had the same issue with this like I do? Do you guys think I fit in some of the rides? P.S And here is my 1 year anniversary video I shot couple weeks back and please opinions welcome. Cheers and thank you all for watching and reading my post, Alex

Fellas... Keep It Real With Me!

I live in NYC, where people can judge you on how you dress, look, walk, stand, pee etc... hahaha. When I was 560 pounds, I NEVER EVER got attention from the ladies, not even a smile. Maybe one or two but probably missed it. And I was on that went out a lot and constantly being surrounded by the ladies. I have great friends (both male and female) who are very supportive from day one, and all they said to me was "I hope you dont change your personality, your such a sweet and amazingly good man". However, after losing nearly 250 pounds in one year, Ive seen a huge increase in women showing me attention, looking at me, smiling at me, everything! Ive gone back to the same clubs I went to when I was super morbidly obese and see those same women there and their reaction and attention to me is first "wow and then wow how did you lose so much weight? How much do you weigh now? Do you work? Do you have a GF? are you looking for one?" THESE women are the one I give to attention to, these are the superficial ones for me. Fake is more like I call them, women who chose not to see past our weight. Also, Im not gonna sit here and say I never tried talking to ladies, Im excellent at conversations, I can start a convo w anyone at any given time, seems like I cant strike out now hahaha. Weight loss is a marvelous thing, but at times I get overwhelmed w attention. Life completely changes for us and at times can get confusing...well for me it does, and I get frustrated. But one day at a time.
  7. Hello fellow losers, this is my Q&A webisode that I recorded on my youtube channel, I answered them as best as my knowledge based on my experiences as well as others that Ive met and spoken to. These questions that I answered are basically the questions my followers keep asking me on a daily basis. Hope you guys enjoy:
  8. FInally finished my before and after slideshow I promised two months ago...apparently my friend was doing it for me but he never actually got to start it...So I had to learn how to do so myself and although a bit challenging at first, it was fairly easy when I understood what I had to do. Also included a "Random" update I made the same night addressing some stuff and giving the site some prop :smile1: Before/after slideshow movie: Random video: and here is a side by side screen shot:

  13. Did my 8 month post op video. Anyone have questions please post in the comment section and ill be glad to answer, hope you guys like..

  14. sorry for the late response, got caught up with a few side projects. now to answer your questions: 1) My biggest challenge during the journey, not just post op was the approval process for insurance. I know weird, but you dont understand the headache they were giving me. lol 2) I have incorporated the elliptical for 25 minutes, inclined bike for 15 minutes, and a few leg exercises to help with my left knee issue. 4) My most proud behavioral change has been the knowledge of foods I have gained, to know whats good, whats bad, how much of this is how many calories etc... and the fact that they had me off carbs for 6 months totally made that carb crave disappear. Hope these help.
