  1. Fantastic!! You look amazing!!! Congratulations on your loss
  2. Have you tried the Bariatric fusion Multivitamin Soft chews? They are delicious and sugar free. I have tried about every Vitamin there is and these are the best tasting. I'll post a pic of what I am using. I read some reviews about Bariatric fusion that were pretty negative, stating that does not have complete vitamin amounts etc. I have been wanting to ask my doctors opinion . I compared them to Bariatric Advantage, they are the same amounts of nutrients. The soft chews you will need 3 chews twice daily. Bariatric Advantage, you use 2 tablets per day. I would rather have good tasting Vitamins twice a day , versus chalky bad after taste like the BA chewables. I will be more compliant if the taste is good.
  3. I would like to sign up to the wls on Facebook Sent you a private message with details You are so lucky that you don't have a liquid diet!!!!

  5. I felt tighter with flying and elevations. My band got so tight all I could eat was a teaspoon of yogurt which was a problem. My surgeon that I had back then didn't believe me but, he wasnt the one who had the band in either. You could always go get some fluid removed when traveling if you didn't want to worry about it, and get fluid put back in after your trip. I also had a friend who also had experienced the same.
  6. Call your surgeon and see if you can get in sooner! That is too much drainage.
  7. I am revising to bypass. I ha e already had my band removed 3 months ago and scheduled for bypass 11/30. I sending you PM
  8. Sugar free pudding (dry powder, ) can be added to shakes...yummy! The white chocolate tastes like wedding cake when added to a vanilla shake. Sugar free Torani syrups, extracts, crystal light. PB2 chocolate and regular
  9. I am so sorry this happened to you. I am a nurse and I am just really disheartened by the unprofessional and rude behavior of these nurses. Please report them. This is unacceptable. I would request that these nurses get sensitivity training and an official write up. Speak to the DON (director of nursing) write a letter, get names date and time you were there and like another poster said it wouldn't be difficult from getting if they use an EMR (electronic medical record) . Also speak to the floor team leader as well, or department nursing manager. There are wonderful nurses out there that are compassionate and that truly love what they do and provide above and beyond care. I hope this experience doesn't ruin your opinion of nurses in general. I can assure you we are not all like that. I had my surgeries at a Center of Excellence and the bariatric program was the best. My care was so wonderful. I hope I have the same care when I go in for my revision next month. Congratulations on your recent surgery. I truly wish you the best (hugs)
  10. I have already purchased from the store and was pleased. They also tossed in a few free samples of other items which was pleasant surprise. Love the spicy Turkey Jerky!!! Thanks Alex Brecher! I will definately be ordering again. I love the autoship feature and the varied month option. Shipping was quick. I look forward to trying other products offered as they are cheaper than buying direct from brand name manufacturers.
  11. I have had my coworkers ask. I am a nurse so I work with nurses and physicians. A couple of the nurses that I work with seen me running to the bathroom to vomit on numerous occasions over the past year and 1/2. When I had to have my band out emergently due to slip and nonstop vomiting, my coworker asked me. I said abdominal surgery. She was an OR nurse for 30 yrs. Then she said, "you're not going to tell me?". I said no. She also knows that I will be having another "abdominal surgery" next month, but this time she didn't ask. Another coworker also asked. I told her the same thing abdominal....which can mean so many different areas. The nurses that I work with are gossip queens and there is no way in hell am I going to reveal my surgery. In fact one day a few yrs ago, we got on the subject of WLS and her doctor had recommended it. She is very obese with newly diagnosed Diabetes. She went on and on how she could never do bypass or any other WLS, bashing it into the ground. So, I just keep my mouth shut. If asked later, I will say diet restriction and exercise which is true.
  12. I had gained 25 over the past year and 1/2 and still in the same size....thankfully (I am revising from band to bypass Nov 30th. ) For some reason when I lose, it's always in the face!!!! Ugh not where I want it at first! Lol. Maybe you are losing elsewhere. Have you measured?
  13. The more water you can get in, the more you can lose because that is how fat is flushed from your body. Plus the water can prevent constipation. Can you set a timer on your phone for your water reminder? I use an app called Medisafe. I put all of my meds, vitamins, water and protein on there and you can set a timer for it to go off. It's great and I love it!!! http://www.medisafe.com/
  14. I have tried every bariatric vitamin. Most leave an aftertaste, smell awful or very chalky. The best tasting one is the Bariatric Fusion mixed berry Soft chews. They are so good, they don't taste or smell like a vitamin! They taste like berry taffy, and they dissolve rather quickly. These do not have iron.....so I ordered the Bariatric Fusion Iron chew, which tastes like those fruit gushers in wild cherry flavor. Very good!!! Links are below for both. Bariatric pal online store also carries these products and it is cheaper by several dollars. Plus you can get additional 15% off by using the GETMESOMEBP code. http://bariatricfusion.com/bariatric-vitamins/soft-chews.html But you will need http://bariatricfusion.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Iron
  15. Congratulations!!!! That is awesome!!!! So happy for you, doesn't it feel wonderful? :-D Your weight loss and NSV is so incredible!!! Keep up the great work whoot!!!
  16. Welcome!! I too was banded and will be revising to bypass Nov 30th. I have already had my band removed August 10th, I had to wait 3 months before revising to bypass. That's great that you are doing so well!! Congratulations on your journey to a newer you!!
  17. Oh forgot to mention There is also a Bariatric Fusion Iron supplement chew that is Cherry flavored ,but tastes like fruit gushers. http://bariatricfusion.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Iron $22.99 for 2 month supply
  18. I have a private FB WLS support group. Send me a personal message and I will send you the details. Would love to have all of you join us!
  19. I had my band for 4 years. Lost 80 pounds, but it slipped and had to have it removed Aug 10th. I wanted to have my revision in one surgery, but my insurance company didn't want to pay for that, so instead they are paying for 2 surgeries, oh well its their dime. It would have been nice to have it done all at once for less time off, less recovery time, less risk...etc l. The pain of the removal was pretty intense at the port site, and the most pain I had was the scar tissue that he removed that the band had made. My surgeon made me wait for 3 months and I am scheduled for my revision Nov 30th. I am hoping the pain won't be as severe as the removal was. When banded it was difficult to eat healthier foods. I was unable to eat citrus, hard veggies, salad would get stuck often, shrimp, and no breads, chips, or pastas. Meat would also get stuck. I know what you dealt with. I think everybody has the fear of failure, more so with revision. It is normal, but don't let the fear consume you or prevent you from being successful with this new chance. Follow the rules, measure and weigh your food and you will do great!!
  20. Hi My date is also November 30th. It seems like there are alot of us with that date!!!! Yay! I have tried just about every Multivitamin, Calcium citrate, and Vit B12. I highly recommend Bariatric fusion mixed berry multivitamin soft chews. They are fantastic and don't taste like a vitamin at all. $22.99 for one month supply. 3 chews twice daily. http://bariatricfusion.com/soft-chews-mixed-berry-flavor.html OR For cheaper version ONCE a day Procare chewable Multivitamin (size is not bigger than as aspirin) $11.99 for one month supply. These are very popular as there are not many Vitamins out there that you can get away with only taking once, they have been on backorder. http://www.procarenow.com/BACKORDEREDBariatric-Complete-Chewable-MultiVitamin-Once-Per-Day--Formulated-for-Roux-en-Y-Vertical-Sleeve-Duodenal-Switch-30-Day-Supply_p_10002.html calcium citrate I highly recommend Bariatric Advantage 500mg in Caramel flavor. Delicious!!! Tastes like a caramel butterscotch. They are a bit pricey though. Vitamin B12, I highly recommend the Celebrate sublingual quick melt in mint flavor. These taste great, like a sweet mint, and melts super quick. Very reasonable price 15.95 for 3 month supply
  21. I too wanted my GB done at same time, but my surgeon wanted me to wait,.....and my insurance company wanted me to wait also. I had mine removed Aug 10th. He is making me wait 3 months before revision which I have a tentative date of Nov 12. I tried to beg and plead with my ins company to allow one surgery but nope they wouldn't agree
  22. That was illegal plain and simple. I just don't understand people sometimes how cruel they can be. https://www.workplacefairness.org/medical-privacy-workplace#18 The fact that your boss actually made a video and posted it can cost her job. Not only can you get her fired, you can also sue her for libel, defamation of character, and slander. http://thelawdictionary.org/article/when-to-sue-for-defamation-slander-and-libel/ She should not get away with that and you would have an open and shut case especially since she provided the video proof!
  23. I watch the show on occasion. I truly feel that she is struggling like most obese people. Her downfall is that she isn't consistent. I am sure we all start diets and exercise with great intentions but we fall off the wagon and never jump back on, then at some point later try again when we are faced with having to go up a size or health consequences. I have wondered if she has considered WLS. I love her spirit and think she really has a good heart. I think she can be who she wants to be if she would have continuous accountability and support without enabling. She needs healthy coping mechanisms.
